It is interesting we’re the only team to beat Arsenal. That was actually quite an easy win too when you consider that they really turned up, we just cut through them. Hopefully we have their number. A win here would be really nice.

Put Fred in the middle from the start and I feel quietly confident. Casemiro is an absolute beast in the middle but in a big game I fully believe he can handle it like he has in many before.

Arteta's arrogance cost them in the first game this season. Hopefully they push high up again and leave lots of space for Rashford to get in behind.

Just look forward to the match.

    Nice buffer between 4th/5th now.

Another free hit for United (much like the City game) as the underdogs United shouldn’t be too stressed about the match.

At kick-off City could be 2 points(?) behind Arsenal, the pressure should be on Arsenal to beat a Casemiro-less United.

    C’mon United!

Arsenal have played 5 games since the WC, we have played 9. They’ve had 3 extra days rest too. It’ll show. We already look gassed against Palace and we looked an absolute mess. Def not confident about this one.

BS they haven't had to play this week, game should NEVER have taken place but Premier League couldn't give a toss about players fatigue

Will keep saying it we only beat them due to Partey missing and it's true

If we end up winning this, I’m sure the title talk will surface again. But Top 4 is what we should be aiming for this season.

6 points (1 for GD) is still feeling like a lot, particularly when we are a completely different team away from Old Trafford

I agree although stranger things have happened in football but yes very unlikely. Sometimes the joy is in the dreaming I suppose and it will be extra sweeter when we win it…which should be soon hopefully.

It wasn't an easy win bro. Yes the goals seemed easy to come by but overall, the game was more 50/50 in terms of who would win that game. Football is fine margins and Utd just exploited the weaknesses in the Arsenal midfield that day.

I was in that camp until last night too whereas now it's win or bust
win or bust for what? winning the title? yes that is probably true but honestly i don't think we can win the title even IF we are able to beat Arsenal on Sunday

our focus should be getting back into the CL this season and not let anything else become a distraction

Just meant in terms of applying a little pressure on City & Arsenal before they played each other, however don't see us being able to do that

Finally, we have a manager who has the ability to organise our team to beat title contenders. Cas suspended is a massive loss, but excited to see how EtH sets us up to win this.

It was a deserved win but it was by no means an easy win. Right before we went 3-1 they we're pressing hard.

They will be a completely different proposition at The Emirates and this time we are missing the key midfielder not them which is significant

Feck it, lads. Let's crush these cnuts! Glory, glory, United! We killed them without Casemiro, last time, will have to do the same again. McT will need to be a world-class for this game, again.

    In Ten Hag we believe!!!

Sancho will come on, in the second half and score two goals and one assist to celebrate his glorious return. Mark my words :)

    ...
    Also, this was hilarious:

Piers Morgan: “When we win the league after they got rid of the GOAT, I expect Ten Hag to get on bended knees & apologise to me for the disrespect he's shown to Ronaldo!”
Laura Woods: “We’ll have to explain to him who you are, first…”

Unless by some absolute miracle Sancho has been blowing them away in training this week then no chance he even travels

I don't see him starting. Arsenal are not a physical team but are very fast and technical - the exact sort of team McTominay struggles against.

The way I see it, we're going to be absorbing the pressure & targeting to counter them with speedy wingers.

    Eriksen & Bruno with Fred?
I was actually thinking to start McFred and Eriksen with Bruno on the left, Antony on the right and Rashford as striker.

I know I am borderline dreaming, but he wasn't on a goddamn vacation pas three months. He was supposed to have been training like Rocky was training for the fight against Apollo Creed. :)

    Show. Us. The. Results, Sancho!

Big loss not having Casemiro. Think ETH will have a plan though and we’ve got to trust him. I can see Fred starting this one because he presses like mad and will try and unsettle them. Bit worried about eriksen, think he’ll get over run in this game.

I agree that Fred will start. And we will either see McFred (but EtH version, not Ole one) if McT can end his rot and play like he did against Arsenal on Old Trafford, or EtH may do something unexpected, like play Licha as holding midfielder, Luke Shaw as left CB, and Malacia as full-back.

In Erik we trust! He will figure something out to beat that imposter Arteta.

Fred marking Odegaard seems like a good idea, so even though Antony was terrible, my guess is 5-2-3 that looks like a 4-3-3

    --------Rashford------Bruno-----Antony----
    -------------------Fred------Eriksen----------
    Malacia-Shaw-Lisandro-Varane-WanBissaka
    --------------------------De Gea--------------------------

    or if Martial is healthy:

    --------Rashford----Martial-----Bruno----
    -------------------Fred------Eriksen----------
    Malacia-Shaw-Lisandro-Varane-WanBissaka
    --------------------------De Gea--------------------------

but when we have the ball, Lisandro goes into midfield and it's a 4-3-3.

The problem is taking Bruno from out of the middle onto the wing. We really need a backup for Casemiro, but without him and not having signed an upgrade on McTominay, there's no shame in playing on the counter one last time against Arsenal when they're in this form.

Wouldn't shock me to see McTominay just be risked to keep everything solid, though, or Fred playing as a 6 since Arsenal don't have any height unless Xhaka plays as a 10 and that might open up space for Bruno in the right half space if Martial is playing. I like it less if Bruno is playing as a false 9 or on the left.

Doesn't matter how long ago they were we slacked off AGAIN
I think that was the first time this season that we went ahead and didn’t win the game? The fact you had to go so far back for examples and actually cite one that isn’t an example at all should tell you something
