I wouldn’t say ballotelli was a hit
The sample size is really too small. It's hard to make a definitive judgement on it especially when only a handful have come over young. I'd have absolutely no worries picking up the most promising Italian starlets.

Yeah I suppose my point is that the small amount who did very well in England (Zola, vialli,Ravanelli,DiMatteo) were already top class. I don’t think younger ones have settled very well

Yeah, I can't think of a single young Italian that has actually developed in the prem.

I might be wrong, but it seems to me that a much smaller proportion of Italian players ever come to England in the first place, compared to those from many other countries.

Yeah, you get paid quite well even in the lower leagues and it's a good quality of life over there. Also, the squads are absolutely massive so it's far less cut throat.

If you really want to know.

Roughly about 7/8 league games and 2/3 in the UCL

EDIT: Do you think football only exists in the PL?
Why would you think that? I'm perfectly happy to say I don't have the knowledge to come to an informed decision, and I express that on this very forum. I don't get upset because a rival is signing a player I've never even mentioned here up until this point, just because it happens to fit the narrative I want it follow.

You keep making assumptions about where I watch football which leads me to believe you only think I watch the PL.
I don't think its hard to see why I would think that

Roma seem quite eager to get rid.... Must be some issues with him. Or money issues for roma

That's going to be a bargain for Bournemouth if he can get his body fit and play consistently. He's such a talent.

Mental. One major injury can change ones fortunes.
From being linked to Europes major clubs a year and a half back to potentially moving to the cherries.

Unbelievable. Never thought I’d see the day Bournemouth beat AC Milan to a signing

Good player as well if he stays fit.
In before UEFA outrage that even the smallest club in the league can financially outmuscle a European giant….

Also in before European clubs begin to protest and draw up plans for a super league two.. that requires the financial muscle of English teams to get off the ground

Think his agent's probably getting a big chunk of the fee...."Yes Nicolo, you'll be playing for the team in black and red...;)"

I fecking love that. They actually argue with a straight face that big clubs in Europe have a Devine right to sign the big players and if that changes then the sport needs to change

Bloody hell that's a shocker. What a player he looked before the injuries. I haven't seen him at all since, but for 30m these days it's not a bad roll of the dice.

He's a really good player to watch but his output unfortunately is awful. He'll need to improve this if he wants to reach the next level.

The Super league can get off the ground without the financial muscle of English teams... But the Super league is definitely the wrong solution...

They don't have a Devine right to anything... But that's not what's happening. The PL is slowly doing to the other top 4 leagues what the 5 of them did to the rest Europe after Bosman (some more than others, but they all participated)...

European football needs real FFP rules to be implemented with hard salary cap.

Why? Bournemouth aren’t spending above their means?

I hope not. He will get lost in a shite team. Talented player but I don’t think he will ever reach the heights he should.

The Premier League is leaving above its means. And it has been for many years. Sugar daddies, in the form of big Media groups, have been throwing insane money at it for years (Some them hoping to ).. But that's their right. I don't bleieve FFP should be about "spending above one's means"... I think it would be fair for Moshiri to invest his own money into strengthening his club. But it should be done within some reasonable boundaries. Like the amerciacn sports where some sort of fair competition is guaranteed. A real salary cap.

The only meaningful FFP is the one Ceferin promised and ended up not doing... A real hard salary cap.

Apart from City and Chelsea who does this apply to? Even City now don’t really qualify
