I also wonder if no option was included because it's deadline day and additional parameters to a deal are cumbersome to draw out (?) Probably not that.

Anyway it looks a deal to suit all clubs. Lets hope he's not a Saul!
It's very possible that the time was too short to agree the terms of a proper sale or a buy option. It's good news for your squad anyway.

The next time people complain about United not being able to sign players quickly, the name Sabitzer will be mentioned afterwards

This is a good move. Obviously he hasn't set the world alight at Bayern but I was impressed when I saw him playing for Leipzig. We are desperate here and could do a lot worse. I gave up hope of signing anyone and am really glad to see the club at least try to address our enormous weakness given Eriksen's injury.

Sabitzer is better than most midfielders you have, so he could definitively end up starting even after Eriksen returns.
That wouldn't say much tbh. Eriksen is out till May by all accounts and god knows it 'll take a few weeks for him to find his feet after 3 month lay off. By which time it's the end of the season already and Sabitzer is heading back to Munich.

Well, it is unlikely Casemiro or Bruno lose their starting spots (only if for rotational purposes from time to time). So essentially his competition will be Fred, Eriksen, McTominay and Mainoo

So this is essentially done.

Reckon we get any of the others we are rumoured in for or do you reckon they where backups to this deal.

I'm gonna guess they where backup options

Ye he’s decent. Not had the best season though and he gets injured a lot.
I’d 100% back Ten Hag to have made him even better though. He’s got a good profile that I would have been happy to have in the squad.

Get your own place, have some kids, go dating, have a job that you sometimes have to take home, join a gym. Whatever hours you have left in the day, you don't want to waste on Bayern vs fecking Hertha Berlin.
As someone who has those things I'd say - feck it, have no kids, no wife, don't waste your time with a gym and just kick back, relax and watch all the football you want, even fecking Hertha Berlin, whoever she may be.

If you want to keep him and he wants to stay, and you can cough up 15-20m € in summer, he won't be heading back.

I hate posts like these. "Oh, he can't get into Real Madrid's starter 11, why should he be good enough for a 8th placed United?". That was people's response when linked to some of their players a few years back.

Kimmich is one of the best midfielders in the world and Goretzka is a pretty good player to partner him with. So why would Sabitzer play? He is not good to replace them, but he is still good enough to play for our midfield, especially with Eriksen out.
Fans on Bayern Reddit say they've looked better with him pairing Kimmich than with Goretzka this year. Press says he and Nagelsmann don't speak, so it might just be personal with them since Nagelsmann brought him from Leipzig, so their relationship isn't casual.

Also Gravenberch starting to emerge and passing him isn't the end of the world. He's not experienced but has lots of positive qualities and potential and 100 top level games under his belt.

And Nagelsmann is pro-young player and versatility enough to consider Cancelo a midfield option as well as their 17 year old Paul Wanner who I believe is their top youngster and seen as a future star.

My guess is he'll be a bit better than Fred but worse than Eriksen. Downgrade us from 3rd to 4th but I think we still finish a shade ahead of whichever of Newcastle or Spurs has a bad injury, barring a Casemiro, Varane or Rashford injury, all of which would be a disaster.

It's SHITE being United! We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the fecking Earth! The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some hate City. I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are COLONIZED by wankers. Can't even find a decent culture to be colonized BY. We're ruled by effete arseholes. It's a SHITE state of affairs to be in, Mockney, and ALL the midfield signings in the world won't make any fecking difference!
It must be deadline day, The Cafs gone mad, lost their shite completely……;

Directly under the sun... NOW!
So let me get this straight. I'm obviously batshit crazy, so please show me the way.

Our team is on a roll, but everyone is aware we're a couple of injuries away from panic stations. January comes and it's almost gone when one of those dreaded injuries happen. We reach out to Munich on the last day of the window to loan us a CM.

Were we "lucky" that Eriksen was injured in January as opposed to February?
Are we damn efficient in getting a quality loan in just a day?
Are we just a tad incompetent for getting into this position in the first place?

See, I don't think Sabitzer was only made available for loan today. Maybe he was? Help me out here. I think Eric wanted another CM badly this Jan, but only got his wish after a key player was injured.

This kinda makes me angry, but as I said, I'm just batshit crazy.

Don't get me wrong, I like Sabitzer :) What I need is someone to point me in the right direction. Someone needs to explain to me why I'm the only one feeling this way.

Thanks!

Gaz. Is a Mewling Quim.
Sabitzer was with RB Leipzig when United played them. Quality player and sometimes people observe rather than just watch United play. There's a difference. Just because you're busy doesn't exclude you from observing the opponents of United, especially the captain under Nagelsmann
If you remember the captain of every team we face then that’s a minimum of 22 players per season. For a player several years ago it’s obviously higher, especially with the player having since moved so not being where you associate with them. This is particularly daft when he wasn’t even the only RB Leipzig captain in games against Manchester United that season, with Gulacsi having the armband at Old Trafford

Being this condescending is really very daft.

Exactly. The league is a joke because of Bayern tbh
The league is weaker because Bayern aren't thrashing everyone since they don't have top players in their prime like Lewendowski. Lots of players have been injured or just regressed like Davies, Gnabry, Muller, Sane, Neuer. But because they aren't as good, the league is competitive/open at the top, quality isn't what it used to be for now.

Some here need a dose of realism. We have owners who want a sale or outside investors and have no interest in a big money £100m plus purchase ala Enzo Fernandes.

So Ten Hag is having to be creative in the loan market. And Sabitzer on loan if it comes off will be a coup in those terms. I've always been a fan, he is quality, used to pressing style having been with Leipzig and am sure under Ten Hag he will thrive. I have to say that the only difference ive seen between Fernandes and Sabitzer is age and fee. So all we need is those magicial two words: "Deal Done".

Used to have a ‘Scousespotting’ t shirt with an amazing riff on that monologue, just taking the piss out of Liverpool.

We had players like that over the years when we were a proper team. Berbatov was a sub most days, Carrick also when he first joined. Veron could hardly get a kick. Sometimes the symptom of a very good established side is that some very good players can't play as much as they would like to.
I'm quite sure both were first eleven players from their debut seasons onwards at our club.

But I get what you're trying to say. Lets hope he performs better than Fred/McT. I wouldn't dare to expect him to hit the levels of Eriksen.
