who do you feckin think ?
Would you join Chelsea over Liverpool at the moment (taking being a Man United fan out of the equation)?
i am just going by the fact that he has been speaking to Chelsea and wants to go there (or maybe below was a quote on Arsenal  ).

"It's a big team, that's true," he recently told La Cancha Con Majo. A very historic team and I can't say no because it is a very big, historic, beautiful team. The city as well is beautiful."

He also seems to be in London wating for this to happen at the moment. Its down to Todd but i dont see 20M stopping this from happening.

I still think he will end up at Chelsea.

No idea why Chelsea are so happy to throw money at virtually every player under the sun but won't meet Brighton's asking price?

He was ready to go to Man United, then Chelsea, now Liverpool. He just seems to want to get the feck out of Brighton.

So us, Arsenal, City, Chelsea and Liverpool have all tried to sign him in the last couple of years but now he's not good enough?

He's probably not worth the fee Liverpool are paying but he's a good player.

Not really. Rice went for pretty much the same fee and I've been saying the whole time he has more potential IMO along with being pretty much on the same level.
Rice was ridiculously over priced. English tax etc but still crazy money. This deal is even more baffling. He’s great but not £110m great. How may £100m+ transfers have worked out?

If I had £1 for everytime someone posted that old Klopp quote in this thread in the last 12 hours. I'd be able to by Caicedo myself by now.
This one has a new quote addressing the old quote.

Think this actually might still go Chelsea's way, actually. If they want him they know the price now and think it'll be easier to just up their bid in the meantime than it is for us to come to terms with Caicedo.

Didn't he also act quite childish when he didn't get his transfer in January? And now this shit with him perhaps only wanting Chelsea, doesn't look like he's that mature off the pitch.

He handed in a transfer request via Twitter, and that was a failed move to Arsenal, not Chelsea.

Very good signing, would love to have him here, but we really seem to like Mount. Just hope it works out.

That fee is bonkers though. Just like Rices was.

I don't think anyone genuinely cares about how much each club spends on transfers. Once the football starts this weekend we will all go back to talking about actual football.

So it is all just banter, what makes this deal fun is the fact it's Klopp...someone who loves to cry poverty when it suits him and the fanbase acts all righteous with the Net Spend bollocks.

Chelsea have known the price all summer though. I think they just thought they'd have a free run at it.

Stupid money. A midfield of Enzo and Caicedo for £200m+. You could buy a lot of football clubs for that kind of money.

The stuff about only wanting Chelsea was being reported when Chelsea were the only club in for him. Kinda like Mudryk and Arsenal, but things change other big clubs enter the race. Just like Mudryk, I don’t think Caicedo is particularly set on what club, even though it seemed like he was, he just wanted to move out of Brighton and any big club would do.

The comparison between Casemiro and Caicedo is beyond daft. Caicedo isn’t even a pure DM. Dunking on Casemiro because your muppet dream has moved to another club doesn’t make sense. People just make calls without thinking about what a team actually needs.

£111M plus a sell on clause if he ever agitates for a move to Barca or Madrid?

To be fair he's now said this;

"Everything changed. Do I like it? No. Did I realise I was wrong? Yes.

"I'm not blaming anyone but it's just the market.

"In the end, we as a club have to make sure that, with our resources, we get the best possible player.

"We aren't in a dreamland and can't just point at a player and get them to come in. Sometimes one door closes and another opens up."
The last bit is a little arsey but fair fecks to him for not trying to hide from his previous comments.

It’s crazy how Utd and Liverpool fans are polar opposites. When Utd sign a player he is suddenly a national league level talent in the scousers eyes but when it’s the other way around Utd fans label him the next greatest ever.
Grass is always greener mentality.

Varane
Casemiro
De Bruyne, Salah, Walker, Trippier, and Thiago Silva are all in the discussion for the best players in their position in the league.

Also just looking at us, most of our signings have been crap for ages. I could give you a far longer list of young players who have been crap here.

Feck sake

Well I guess if he ever does that at Chelsea or Liverpool as well, it would be for Real or Barca which means that the £110m right now will have been worth it quite likely.

Silver linings and all that.

Yeah the tweet I posted includes part of today’s quote. It’s why I posted it :D

The full quote is actually fair enough. In the end they’ve got Caicedo and he improves them immensely. The noise about the money will just be noise.
