$10mil and I fecked it up!
Okay. I'll make sure I consider all of the games united start shit in but could've won thereafter as losses and absolutely not take any positives. Not if they were 3-0 down.

If we get caicedo and injury permitting we will challenge city. May be this season too early but we won't be too far from challenging for title. They overwhelmed Liverpool as it went on and should have won.
The other thing is is that they don’t have any mid week games, so should be fresh every weekend.
Poch doesn’t have any excuses.
Nothing like a bit of delusion on a Monday morning. If we get caicedo and injury permitting we will challenge city. May be this season too early but we won't be too far from challenging for title.
Based on?If we get caicedo and injury permitting we will challenge city. May be this season too early but we won't be too far from challenging for title.
You were equally as likely to be hammered yesterday as you were to win the game, there is zero chance that pans out to anything close to a title challenge, even with Caicedo. Some absolutely diabolical defending. If we get caicedo and injury permitting we will challenge city. May be this season too early but we won't be too far from challenging for title.
Jesus I remember people tagging me in posts to take the piss for saying ye'd get top 5. Thinking ye will compete, after last season....JaysusIf we get caicedo and injury permitting we will challenge city. May be this season too early but we won't be too far from challenging for title.
Have less games with enough rest, train and prepare for each game. Team looked good fitness wise. Can run all the game. Have physical presence after long time. We will see.Based on?
There's still not a single Chelsea player that would get in the City team. You've spent 900 million on potential!
Arsenal and United will also finish above you this season, you'll be lucky to scrape 4th!
But where will the goals come from.Have less games with enough rest, train and prepare for each game. Team looked good fitness wise. Can run all the game. Have physical presence after long time. We will see.
I think your "city challenge" was over the moment you dropped points against a mid table club yesterday. If we get caicedo and injury permitting we will challenge city. May be this season too early but we won't be too far from challenging for title.
I think you're being overly ambitious to say the least youse were good yesterday and Poch will do well I think but...yeah.If we get caicedo and injury permitting we will challenge city. May be this season too early but we won't be too far from challenging for title.
You are underestimating us. What I have seen so far from preseason to liverpool match we are a good team playing well. May be you will realise in few weeks time we have the capability.Jesus I remember people tagging me in posts to take the piss for saying ye'd get top 5. Thinking ye will compete, after last season....Jaysus
May be you are right or you may be underestimating our potentials as well. Team has enough goals all over the pitch to win matches. Our defense will take care of lots of 1-0 wins too. As I said its too soon for winning title but will challenge for it. I have no doubt. But where will the goals come from.
Thinking you can challenge City with your attack is delusion to be honest. Top four is your ceiling this year even with a game a week.
5th place is very likely to be good enough for Champions League football next season anyway.so someone is going to be disappointed come the end of the season and their 5th place.
I think Chelsea were the better side yesterday too - despite evident weaknesses- and they did well to change the course of the game after 30 mins, but you really need to stop downplaying Thago Silva. The guy would easily start for most CL contending sides where 2 CB's are being employed and would definitely start for every team in the world where 3 CB's are being used. There for the taking will be a team that Pochettino had without their best attackers, a 39 year old defender and a team that hasn't settled in yet
Drives me insane. There is not one legitimate argument anyone can make against him as a defender. He is currently as good as any defender I've seen at The Bridge, at their peak. He even handled duels on the counter with some of the fastest players effortlessly last season, and was key to us having a good defensive record despite the team's relegation form. Using his age is a lazy argument.I think Chelsea were the better side yesterday too - despite evident weaknesses- and they did well to change the course of the game after 30 mins, but you really need to stop downplaying Thago Silva. That poster would do anything, literally, to downplay your players - to big up the manager.Drives me insane. There is not one legitimate argument anyone can make against him as a defender. Especially in a back 3. He can organise a defence better than any coach and having two quick players alongside him gives comfort that pace won't be exploited (although as you say, his positioning is so good that it's rarely an issue anyway).Drives me insane. The transfer fees/spend must be causing them a lot of sleepiness nightsThat poster would do anything, literally, to downplay your players - to big up the manager.
nah, unless they sign another 3-4 players, Poch is clearly expected to work miracles/hasn't been backed! The transfer fees/spend must be causing them a lot of sleepiness nights
No footballer can escape the decline of their abilities with age. I m not downplaying, just explaining reality. If Pochettino has gone with a back two, Liverpool would have mercilessly made Silva think of retirement. Disasi and colwell was good enough and did a lot of the grunt work defending their most lethal players. Silva was played centrally of the two center back and Liverpool played with a false 9. He really didn't have that much to do. I think Silva is class especially how he can continue playing at such a level with his age, but there will be games that highlights why his age will always come into question. As I see things diasi and colwill should be their back two unless they play three in the back or are playing a game in the cup with not as much importance.I think Chelsea were the better side yesterday too - despite evident weaknesses- and they did well to change the course of the game after 30 mins, but you really need to stop downplaying Thago Silva. Apart from last season at Anfield where he played in a two CB system and kept one of the easiest clean sheets of his career. If Pochettino has gone with a back two, Liverpool would have mercilessly made Silva think of retirement. L
I m implying that with their wingbacks, silva getting older and no natural destroyer in their midfield, a two with Silva as one of the two is risky. Only way to mitigate that risk is like what Pochettino did yesterday with an extra cb or add more midfield protection, which he will get with Caceido and lavia.Apart from last season at Anfield where he played in a two CB system and kept one of the easiest clean sheets of his career.
Unless what you're implying is Potter is better at organising a defense?
You are correct in regards to the wingbacks, however that is relying on them both to be fit during the season which has been shown to be unrealistic. I feel that without James and Chilwell they will lack the creativity required. They also may lack goals in general as they are relying on Nkunku adapting to the league instantly. If he struggles, I don't see where the goals are going to come from which, on top of a general lack of creativity, indicates they will struggle. A defensive midfield works when you have fullbacks the caliber of Robertson and Trent. Whilst Caicedo is a very good player a trio of him, Lavia, and Enzo isn't the most creative. Lavia is a holding midfielder from what I've seen while Enzo is basically a better version of Jorginho and I don't think Caicedo is creative enough to cover for them both. They will dominate possession with that three but I don't see enough chance creation. The midfield shouldn't be a problem if the aim is to press high and get the wingbacks up in attack. In that scenario a midfield of Lavia and Caicedo will balance things out and allow Chelsea to get more players forward. Caicedo also has the potential to be a very good #8, as well as being one of the best midfielders in the league against the press in a deeper lying position. People were comparing him to Fred statistically but those statistics don't tell you the role Caicedo played to raise the level of Brighton's build up phase, which Fred isn't capable of doing. And if you have a team that can play out of a press comfortably, then everything else will fall into place.
Sure. They only need a couple of signings to make a decent team. They still have arguably the best keeper in the world, and Salah is still one of the best around. The other forwards are good, but they have a gaping hole in the midfield as well as a very weak back four. If they signed a good midfielder as well as a centre back they will be a top four team easily. As it stands however, they aren't as good as Newcastle, they don't have the depth you guys have, and one could argue Villa are more secure defensively. So, unless you think Tottenham are a top four challenger, as it stands Liverpool are probably the weakest of the six teams looking for top four.I will remember this post when Liverpool spank a good team in the top four.
Liverpool won't struggle and they started of well. Similar with Chelsea, they are undergoing a rebuild of their midfield. Liverpool will look much better than this
Oh, I'm aware. But while Poch is the manager of Chelsea, he will be the biggest Chelsea fan on here. Once he gets sacked however, Chelsea will be hot garbage for letting Poch down.Just so you're aware, Amadeus isn't a Chelsea fan. He's a fan of Poch. And I am doing my absolute best not to type something insulting right now.
There is no way you are losing to a Moyes team. West Ham are crap. Antonio will get injured as he does every season and Paqueta will finally leave by then.To be fair to him, we will lose away to West Ham too.
Solid jinx attempt. There is no way you are losing to a Moyes team. West Ham are crap. Antonio will get injured as he does every season and Paqueta will finally leave by then.
I actually didn’t think he would make an impact this quickly
