Certainly has magic in his boots, scored a fair few crackers already. The question is can he do it consistently enough to become someone like Mane (who he reminds me a lot of).
Just like Mane back in Southampton, he is not good enough for Man Utd.

Maybe, though my only memory Mane there was being poor vs United and great vs Liverpool.. and so they ended up signing him. What couldve been. Guess it only figures Mitoma will have a Stormer against Newcastle or someone.

I do think Mane was better at a younger age though. I remember watching him when he was around 20 at the 2012 Olympics.. he was explosive.

What is stopping us from making a move for him? Sometimes I wonder who makes decisions for us.

Do we have 3 left-wingers? One of which is a 19 very highly talented kid. Just play Rashford his own position and use Garnacho as his sub or Sancho.

Keep this form up and this will be his last season at Brighton. City beckons.

The £100m Brighton will want. He's also not 'that' good of a dribbler, no real pace or penetration so he's easily pushed out wide if you don't let him dance through the middle. Also needs to get up to speed with the physicality of the PL.

He'd improve us but we'd find a way to make him look shitter than he actually is by playing him on the right to accommodate Sancho or Rashford on the left.

This place is obsessed in predicting any player of quality will end up at City or Liverpool.

It’s a fair question from the other poster to be honest.
He’s a spectacular player but managed only 12G+A in the league last season. In comparison, Sancho who we consider here like a shite player managed 9G+A, while missing 2 full months of competition

Also we are yet to see a Brighton player shine once he moved to another team.
You could make a case for Trossard but even he is not established in the first XI.

There’s no denying Mitoma’s quality but splashing cash in him would do no good for United or Mitoma. He’d be called an instant flop should he fail to score or assist in more than two games in a row

Yeah, quite closely. He doesn’t have the penetration currently to be devastating. He might develop that skill but he likes to slow down the running to dribble more effectively and that isn’t really the best thing to do when someone can literally bundle you off the ball in the PL.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned on here but the fecker has actually written a thesis on dribbling.

We need to start sending scouts to universities and hiring graduates with the best thesis.

He is a very good player (probably Brighton 's next 100 mil player) but Wolves defensively were having a ridiculous day. Mitoma didn't even have to actually beat any defenders and just waltzed in

He’s capable of slowing it down or functioning at pace. To say he’s not ‘that’ good at it is silly. He’s perhaps the best in the league at it.

Was about to say the same thing. He's deceptively strong for a small guy and while not Sane or Sterling in the pace department more than quick enough.

The thing with Mitoma is his contract is up in 2025 - just under two years left and apparently a new contract was offered a while back which remains on the table. Nothing has been signed. If nothing is agreed by next summer I can see him going next summer.

From a Brighton point of view, we’d likely end up taking a knock down price of around £80m-£100m rather than the expected £120m+ which would be a blow but I’m sure we’ll sort the replacement in advance.

What a great goal that was. Cool to see he's got that in his locker.

I thought Trossard was a regular but was sold because he had a row with De Zerbi.

And Trossard had actually lost his place to Mitoma as a result of that row, prior to being sold. So it’s a little of both. Trossard was shocking upon his return from the WC, and Lallana gave him the riot act at training about his attitude.

We don't really have a need for him either since we have Rashford. We need a top quality RW, though those are incredibly scarce at the moment.
Will be interesting to see how Mitoma progresses. I don't think he reaches Mane levels, for one Mane was a lot more explosive and moved to Liverpool at a much younger age.

I haven't read any of the comments and I already know it is Chelsea who is trying to buy him, aren't they?

He reminds me of Kvaratskelia. Similar type of playmakers on the left wing.
