We have it everything to come back to 3-2. I understand us being shot after the adrenaline wore off. It was a mental game, but showed a lot of character today.

How can you possibly defend us not being able to control a game vs a 10 man relegation candidate at home? Are you retarded?
They pushed us for 5 mins, how is that "not being able to control game"?!

I usually ignore all the overreacting bollocks and knee jerk stuff, but match day thread today was horrendous.

Good comeback that, never looked like losing after going 2-0 down. That’s the best that can be said.

The mess that we were in, it didn’t look like we had 3 goals in this team to win the game. I would have taken a draw but well played to the lads

We’re struggling to keep the ball against 10 men for the past 20 mins, but sure do some mental gymnastics to convince yourself we played well.

It’s Nottingham Forest, one of the relegation favourites and not fecking prime Barcelona were playing against.
I don't know why you're bothering. You never get any sense out of that one.

I am personally enjoying all the extra time simply for all the conspiracy based whining that takes place. If Forest had held on people would be whining about only 10-11 mins, Utd winning means it is too much.

Over the first 3 games Utd have probably got the slightly better whistle but if you read on here you wouldn't think it possible.

Rival fans will have a field day if this ends like this, 2 down after 4 mins and win with Red and a pen.
Rigged and corrupt will be high on the list
You should have seen the Arsenal game.

Nketiah's goal to make it 2-1 was mired in controversy.

Player went down in Fulham's box. Arsenal refused to kick the ball out of play. Moments later crossed it for Nketiah who was only onside because the Fulham player on the floor was keeping him on.

And a red for Fulham too right after for soft yellow.

Thank God for the win. Couldn't watch but was following proceedings. It might not be great but 3 points is most important thing.

Aside from scoring goals, yes, we are going in right direction, sorry that I am not usual Caf knee jerker to judge us on only first two games of the season.
Well, like I said, it’s the same old since 10 years now. There’s nothing I saw that tell me we will be alright.

When should we start moaning ? How many years ? 10 more ?

Until the Glazers are gone, it won’t change. They have no ambitions and it shows on the pitch.

    I am sad for ETH.

We have huge problems against N.Forest. They are one of the weakest teams in the league, so I fear for our coming games. Even 10 vs 11 we were poor.

I'll take the win but boy it did not fill me with any confidence whatsoever.
What concerns me is that it doesn't seem like really any of our players are very consistent from game to game.
I think Bruno is the only player in the whole squad that somewhat consistently plays quite well.
And Varane probably I could put him in there but what's the point when it's inevitable he gets injured, which he did today?

We were good after the 2 goals conceded up to going ahead...then for some reason invited them on to seriously raise my blood pressure.

We saw both sides of this team today. Capable of playing good stuff at times but otherwise can just lose our heads in inexplicable ways and can't control a game calmly to save our lives. It can't go on like this because this is how we get hammered 7-0. God knows what causes it but it's been the case through multiple managers now.

If you forget about that first 5 minutes, then it was actually a very good performance. Massive improvement over the Wolves game.

That's only the second time under Ten Hag we have won after going behind.
That said we looked atrocious when being attacked and it's clear we can expect some hidings from better sides.
Good 3 points in the circumstances though.

Go 3-2 in front against ten men and panic.
/it's just nerves. Lots of external distraction plus that shit result against Spurs plus the expectation that we have to win this match etc etc. The mental aspect is a thing in sports you know..... the team isn't the greatest but they are much better players than they've shown so far.

Hopefully, grafting for this result will stand them in good stead going forward.

You have to wonder about Bruno sometimes, gave the ball away twice in the last few minutes instead of keeping it. Luckily nothing came of it.
The whole team was at it and acting like we were 3-2 down. There was no need for all the frantic long balls and too quick passes. We had the upper hand against 10 men. Very strange

A lot of questions with that performance. Good to see us claw out a victory but we made it so hard for ourselves. No way can we afford to do that against the better teams and we have to improve our match craft. A joke how many chances Forest carved out being down to 10 men. This performance doesn't ease my concern for our future, it just magnifies the trouble we're in.

We really need to hope Magnus sparks quickly, our CF options are utterly shite.

You’re joking surely. He was absolute cack. Don’t think I’ve seen a worse version of him.
Was he? I quite liked him in the middle too. Looked fairly sharp today. Martial was slow to react every time

Casemiro is not heavier than last season nor is he the problem. He’s a world class DM and 31 yet you’re talking like he’s 37 and on his last legs.
Some players can play until they are 38, others have problems when they are 31. He scored today, but has been very poor in all 3 games this season. And he does look heavier and more slow than before.

Why are you watching Arsenal during an United game ?

Overall some bright spots in our set-pieces and positive play and Antony has shown he has a bit of fire in him. Bruno was top notch as always. But beyond that, we aren’t a cohesive team. Even with 11 v10, we didn’t look at all composed tactically. There wasn’t a real plan.

I feel we often play with an intention to bypass our midfield. We are crying out for a holding midfielder apart from Casemiro.

Think people forget the physical and mental effort it will have taken to get back into the game and then ahead. As you say there are also a lot of outside distractions going on as well. We have problems, we know we have problems without people banging on about it again and again. Tell it to the owners.

Yeah, they are too mentality relaxed since SAF is gone.

They can play sh*t, they will be paid too much anyway and the manager will be sacked.

We have no ambition as a club and it shows in the players. The mentality at the top is not to win.
