When does Mainoo return?
probably 1 month?

I'm curious though re. McT to see how he actually performs as an 8.5. It suits him a lot more than a DM, so he might be OK for a short period.

Maximum of 8 apparently, if he's needed for those 8, that's a big chunk of this season. This is providing Mount doesn't have any setbacks.
He was never trusted in any position except as a 6 last season. He needs another injury to start games or for Ten Hag to have changed his mind.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

'Short period' is the key phrase here. Scott actually has history of playing quite well for a month or so after notable changes. Ralf comes in - good for a month before dropping badly away. ETH comes in - good for a month before dropping badly away. His best period for Ole (indeed the only time he's ever been impressive for more than a month or so) was fairly early in Ole's reign as well.

As such it wouldn't surprise me if he actually does fairly well for a short time if we bought him in to play that role. However at the same time I'll be laughing at certain posters who will be giving it the big one saying that they knew he'd be great there and they know better, as I'd consider it a near certainty that within a month or two his level will have utterly collapsed again. Hell, I'd love to be proven wrong. He's a youth product who is great at talking the talk, and on those rare occasions that he actually plays well I do think he provides some good positives to the team. But when it comes to him actually being decent for a useful period of time I'll believe it when I see it.

Probably told him he can move if he wants to play week in, week out as he won't get that here, in which he agreed. This injury changes everything.
Can't see him going in this window now Mount is injured
Yeah, I'm skeptical MU was all that willing to sell him to begin with because with one injury we'll already stretching bench options and I don't know I'd gamble everything on Mainoo (injured anyway) even though I'm all in getting to see Academy chaps getting minutes.

McTominay is a good utility player because he covers many positions (not very well to many's heart content...).

WHU might have space for one more addition in midfield after we've secured Kudus and probably given Lingard a deal.

Priority though is a centre forward.

I imagine it was always their intention to leave it until the end of the window and grab him at a cut price when we have our midfield sorted.

Now Mount is out, they probably realise that we are not going to let him go without being afforded time to find a replacement so their chance of getting him at a cut price is higher now than it will be on deadline day.

Bayern is having its British phase after buying Kane... They were also interested in Thilo Kehrer from WHU (though this one is German so less surprising).
For McTominay I think a move would be the best for him but we do need to replace him if sold.

Mctominay should be all over this if true, there's clearly nothing here for him at United, and he'd be given an open goal to win some proper trophies.

Yeah with Gravenberch & Amrabat, neither of these will be Casemiro replacement so not worried

Swapping McTominay with Gravenberch via loans would be awesome providing we get another No.6 in (like Amrabat).

To replace Sabitzer?
I can see the appeal for them, they'll probably not want to pay a loan fee
Just his £50k wages, cheapskates

I'd rather have Goretzka than Gravenberch.

1. Amrabat
2. Goretzka
3. McTominay
4. Gravenberch

You’re telling me that Bayern want McT and not the Moroccan maestro Amrabat?

The swap scenario for Gravenbirch would be an excellent piece of business. Let’s hope it’s true.

Give us Pavard and Gravenberch on loan and he’s yours. Sign Amrabat with the Maguire money and we’re set until Martial injures himself getting up to change the channel.

Going from rejecting £30m and demanding £45m to then send him out on loan makes no sense. I have enough faith in the club that I don't even believe the club would sanction such a move.

Not sure how Gravenberch would be someone who will fit here.

Sure he has a good sense of ball carrying and dribbling, but we need a Casemiro like player instead.

He is definitely not someone who comes in the 70th minute and calms/ slows the game down, feel Mctominay will do a better job than him instead.

This could turn out to be a good opportunity, to get Gravenburch in, Scott out and bring in Onana as the 6 to cover Casemiro.

Scott McTominay to....Bayern Munich?!

What am I reading?

Will believe it when I see him holding the shirt up.

Yeah, Bayern want McTominay when they have Goretzka who is the same but better in every conceivable way... and they don't even particularly seem to rate him.

Could Falk try to at least make up some halfway believable horseshit?

Maybe they want to give Harry a buddy so he doesn’t get homesick.
