Even what were considered his few good signings.... Martinez, Casemiro..... are now some of the most underperforming players we have this year.

His bad signings continue to be bad.
Casemiro could never be classed as a good signing 1 year into a deal where it was obvious he'd decline.
Martinez got overrated too quickly.

Even if we don't win this one, if he can't even get a reaction from the players in the 2nd half then what is going on?

Just like against Brighton, Arsenal, and Spurs, we start the game looking like the better team, don't capitalise on it and then end up crumbling.

I said this a couple match threads ago, but every time we start off strong and miss a good chance early on, I resign myself to an inevitable loss. So predictable.

No doubt the players are pathetic but we can't rid of every player.

It's weird how every other team seems to respect their manager and pay for them but us.

We need a manager that the players respect and work for. Every other club seems to be able to do it bar us.
Who is this magical person you're speaking of?

Our front three is Højlund (very raw), Pellistri (extremely raw), and Rashford (very inconsistent and selfish). They've also never really played together before. We won't score many.

Feel for him I had high hopes he has the right attitude the right discipline and has proven in Ajax that he can make a team play modern football. But this club is rotten there's no way he'll make it. I dont think he'll last the season.

The solution on this forum is always to "just play some youngster" though.
Ye we know that ain’t the solution. Something clearly isn’t working and it’s only a matter of time before the players start questioning the managers methods. We can’t keep losing and having no solutions from the bench. Maybe a change in formation/tactics or something.

It’s the best performance of the season!
Perhaps, but yet again we find ourselves losing. Losing and crumbling under pressure have become so 2nd nature to this team, I'm just not sure ETH can turn it around.

Genuinely don't know what has happened to this side.

In most games this season they've started brightly and created chances. That's surely a big positive. But one defensive lapse is all it takes and we concede a cascade of goals.

Feel so sorry for him but it just feels like he’s lost the dressing room now. Players aren’t even bursting a gut out there for him & look like they have completely downed tools. Just has that feeling it’s gonna get worser before it gets better.

Depressing to say but it just feels so similar to the final Mourinho, Ole & Rangnick days.

His nepotism is back to bite him. He must have seen a very different Onana, Antony, Malacia back in the days. Only Martinez has shown the level of what a club like man utd needs. He could be gone by Dec if things dont turn around dramatically.

That's the scary thing as we will probably get beat by four or five
That’s cause it’s Bayern away and not only did we miss a can’t miss chance we then threw one in for them. That’s just how it’s going for us over the last month, we can only play through it
That’s not on the manager. If we were playing heads down and giving up then yes, he’s not turning it around but this is a genuinely good performance.
I could be rinsed here in 45 minutes but this isn’t a 4/5-0 game. This should be a draw at worse for us so let’s see how we perform this half

Feeling like he won't win another competitive fixture with us. He will of course but it's looking so grim.

The players are hopeless and look lost but ETH should be finding solutions and so far he hasn’t. We can’t keep losing…

Arsenal signed Rice and Raya this summer for £130m. We have paid minimum £170m for Onana, Mount and Casemiro...

Could have signed Kim with the difference  What a disgraceful fecking joke this club is, in all departments of course, but especially recruitment.

Doesn't help that Eriksen missed from 3 yards out.
I don't think our forwards have been the problem today.
Onana made a mistake (which is the last thing we needed right now as he'll be under immense scrutiny) and then the lack of legs and tracking back from midfield resulted in is conceded the same goal we've conceded about 5 times this season already.
Can't wait for Amrabat to start playing, at least he can run a bit.

I keep saying this but In the miracle event that the defence (and midfield) starts to show why it looked semi-decent last season then we’re still going to struggle with goals this season.

No doubt ETH is under pressure but if he goes we have spent a boat load on players only he wanted. The decision making at this club is unreal, almost like it’s self inflicted. Why do we keep hiring managers with no overarching recruitment policy of player? Didn’t Moneyball originate in the US?? You’d have thought the parasites would be aware of it.

Problem is only Klopp and Pep exist that are fully infallible. We get De Zerbi or some other promising manager and then a year later they are 'shit' too. Only Pep and Klopp are proven enough that it will be fully on the players. We can't get rid of all of them but we need to start culling hard regardless of who the manager is and I include Rashford and Bruno in that. Keep the young ones like Hannibal, Garnacho, Mainoo etc but everyone else is fair game to be sold for me. They have had enough chances under enough managers and each time they have failed.

What exactly can EtH do if Onana decides to forget how to catch a ball?

injuries or not if he doesnt stop with the fecking eriksen-cas midfield pairing we are going to finish bottom half and he will get sacked. We have to have by far the slowest midfield in the damn league.

I don’t think it’s a case of him losing the dressing room as we was on top for like the first 20 mins of the game. They’re still playing but it seems like they don’t care or can’t be bothered to put in a shift. ETH needs to go back to when he made them do that massive run in training after getting battered to Brentford. We went on a winning streak then.

If you look at this half that we just played, what more can he do? The team was set up well, judging by how we started and should've scored a goal, then Onana (who's played a big part in the decent start) lets in a goal like that. We're on our way to losing another game. No chance some of these players have the mental will and character to come back from this.

If Pellestri had scored that chance, it'd have been a different game.
