Surprise surprise spending 1 billion in 12 months on 300 players hasn’t worked.

Ive said this before on here and Chelsea fans didn’t like it but it’s just a bunch of random players wearing a Chelsea kit the club is unrecognisable. It’s a disgrace tbh and I don’t give 2 shits about Chelsea

@Amadaeus

This is your hero?
You watched the game? Same narrative. Chelsea messed up by not signing a top striker.

Do you believe in lemons, @Amadaeus ?
I believe a team of kids won't see there true potential until later on. Still don't understand chelsea project of investing so much in kids. We saw how our experience players won us the game yesterday. Chelsea is lacking that at the moment.

I’m with you on this one. They’re a joke of a club. They think money will solve everything, well it hasn’t. Also some of our fans wanted poch over ETH, even though we’re not doing to good this season it’s still better than them.

Thought he was “going to cook” with them this season. No excuses for losing here, Villa just played in Poland on Thursday night, and these have no European football to contend with.

That’s strange, I thought Poch got all the players he wanted and he built a championship team? Mydruk was the next Mbappe and Jackson the next Drogba and after pre season they were right up there?

I know Mount hasn't done diddly squad here yet, but it's weird that they refused him an extra 50k a week and then spent £60m on Lavia. Surely a homegrown young player that has won big stuff at the club is worth keeping around?

I think Chelsea are much worse than us and that’s saying something.

subbing Mudryk was a horrendous choice.

Pochettino was quoted in wanting experience players. If you know the players that chelsea bought, a lot of them was from players joe shield knew before. This is more of the Joe shield and their sporting director project. Not sure how after their last season failing, they still haven't gotten a top striker yet.

They could do with Rasmus Heskey.

Am I right @MayosNoun!?

Shocking start but it's only a handful of games. You can't seriously think of sacking him based on that.

Their first XI is not very impressive at the moment for all the money spent. A lot of question marks over players.

He's just been very unlucky, you see. Not enough money spent at Spurs, too much money spent on youngsters at Chelsea, too much money spent on experienced players at PSG.

And people tried to convince me that he is good manager. Came to Tottenham when other managers did everything so he could ride on that wave. One of most overrated managers last decade.
I seem to recall getting absolutely mauled for saying as much ever since he left spurs. Benefitted (not built) from the maturing of one of the best teams we'd had in the PL era, and consistently blew every chance of a trophy so much that he created the whole "bottle job" moniker. Granted, he could still turn it around at Chelsea (he had a really crap start at spurs too, and that didn't change until he relented and brought Kane back in after Sherwood had brought him into the XI), but he comes across like he fell for his own hype - expecting lemons, rather than tactics, will create a winning team.

I suspect he stopped learning new things in football around the same time as he decided his english was good enough (circa 2015)

No matter who they put in there, Boehly and his “disruptors” mess will take years to fix

All that profligacy and it’s still a car crash. Money guarantees nothing.

I'm coming around to the opinion, that he just isn't an elite level manager.
Would have been excited at one stage for him to have been given the reins here, looking like it's a bullet dodged.

It is easy to spot managers and at the same time it is easy to spot pretenders. Just watch what team Redknapp, Boas and Sherwood left for him to work with. I've said before. Solskjaer is better manager than him, when talk about who would replace Mourinho was.

He spent 200m alone on three defensive midfielders this summer. Either way he will come under fire. Not entirely on him as most of those youngsters are overrated crap like Mydruk, but still he has to do better with what he’s got even if he’s dealt with a bad hand.
Come December and they will probably be in relegation zone.

Yep. He’s been much better than Mudryk and not much in the price.
Yes but it's not really a great stick to beat Mudryk with when we can't even play the fella to try and rectify his frankly subpar performances. He's not going to get any better at football defending legal cases.

Not entirely sure who I'd rather have at this moment. Two players that are miles from justifying a price.

Not much? You paid 95 mil (euros) plus addons for Antony. We've paid 70 mil (euros) plus addons for Mudryk.

Obviously they've both been so crap that none of the addons have been met but that's still a pretty big difference.
And what about the wages ?
