First time I've rated a performance 1 and that was obviously for Antony. It was kind of like the Bebe performance, but we paid big money for Antony and it is hard to see why.

I am not convinced by Pellistri, seems a bit too lightweight, but his tenacity created a chance so bereft of any better options, he deserves a run.

Garnacho played pretty well in the last twenty. He needs to go outside his man a bit more, though. Mount also did well coming on.

Maguire MOTM and Onana did well with some slightly exagerrated saves. Evans and AOB were good, Dalot less so. McTom was a mixed bag but generally okay.

Bruno won us the game but he looked out of sorts for most of the game. Good to see him playing where he should be, though.

I've defended Hojlund but despite not getting much service, he was poor today. Needs to maybe do some work at the gym because he's constantly falling over.

Poor performance. Good win. Maguire was the MOTM. Antony should be nowhere near this team, our biggest waste of cash ever.

Two poor teams, we will do well to qualify for any kind of european football next season, dreadful.
I think Europe is least of our worries. I'm more worried about spiraling more out of control and finishing bottom half. Right here, right now, top 10 would be an achievement. These players are too sensitive to play for united.

To be fair, they did at least look interested and fought for the shirt. Onana good, Maguire should play concussed more often, Evans OK too. Harry or Garnacho MoM for me but I also thought Scotty showed the determination when things are going well. and a win is a win, I was certain would lose

Bruno may have got the winner but he was very poor again and my hopes that Antony would settle in are proving to be about as likely as Boris Johnson telling the truth at the covid inquiry next week!

For those of you saying Martial was better than Hojilund... :wenger::lol::lol::wenger:

We are somehow 6th, and above Newcastle in the table, with only Luton home to play before the next international break. Feck knows how but we might be on the edge of the top 4 in the next week despite how terrible the performances are.

Eriksen and Antony should not play on a higher level than australian 3rd division when they perform like this.
You obviously haven't seen the Australian A League, much less 2 divisions down. I'd get a run out for the 3rd division.

Red Card for Casemiro!
1. The manager has not lost the players, most of them are still out there fighting.
2. Our attack is fundamentally missing a balance of goal threats. Hojlund, 20 and Garnacho, 19 are essentially carrying all the burden because i. Rashford is having a terrible season, ii. Antony is a dud, iii. Sancho is a cnut.
3. Bruno makes high risk high reward passes in general, but chances of reward are abysmally low because of 2. That's why he looks bad right now. Sort the front three out with genuine threats, and he'll look unstoppable again.
4. Our midfield has no balance. McTominay and Eriksen cannot be the base of any feasible side, because McT is limited technically, and Eriksen is not a DM. Casemiro being injured and the unwise signing of Mount has led to this. EtH is not responsible for these options being shit, but he is responsible for the poorly thought out signing of Mount.
5. Maguire was a rock today. Dalot is trying at LW, but we need a natural LB there. We could use his energy on the right if Shaw/Malacia come back.
6. Onana made some crucial saves today.
7. Sacking ETH is not the solution, yet. Delegating transfer decisions to a more competent authority is definitely needed.
8. VAR is actively trying to feck us over, and we need to make a big deal of it like Klopp and Pep do.

Palinha getting a lot of love in the match day thread, don't get it, yes he is a tackling machine but he is even more limited on the ball than McT.

Maguire or Onana. Onana made 2 very big saves to keep us in. Maguire was excellent and brave too. How the weeks have changed.

Maguire was MoTM for me, best I can remember him playing for quite a while.

Bruno did his classic thing of being shite for most of the game but then having an individual moment of brilliance.

Thought Pellistri was good when he came on, his desire at the end got us the goal. He definitely deserves to start over Antony.

Hopefully it can be a turning point but I have my doubts. Feels like we've already had quite a few false dawns this season.

Shout out to the fans as well. They were quality all game. Deserved a win.

Saved by Bruno. We should have been comfortably up with McT beautiful goal, though. Feck the refs

Personally I thought Fulham were worse than us. I realise this may be controversial.

We all expected a crappy game, but credit to the useless twats they never stopped and somehow managed to create a half chance for Bruno after Fulham failed to clear it for the 8th time.

3 Points!

I hate them all haha

A dull performance but good 3 points. Erkisen was so bad I've never seen him like that. Not even Championship level tbh. Maguire and Onana were very good.

clean sheet
AWB is back and was very good
Harry was also good
Mount had his best 15mins in a Utd shirt
Garnacho had a very good last 20mins
Martial is still our best striker
Anthony has lost all confidence
VAR is crap
Our midfield is still too easy to run at and needs a pivot of 2
We won.

Quickest a Utd manager has made it to 50 wins?

Hell of an achievement.

A great day for Man Utd and therefore the world.

Did not expect us to snatch a win at the end, there.

Maguire being surprisingly useful, maybe that blow to the head he took shocked his system back into coherence.

Well done to Harry today. Thought he was solid from minute one.

McTominay saying all the right things after the game about sticking together and paying the fans back, but you have to say it feels like there are a few problems going on behind the scenes with players unhappy with this and that. If the players are genuinely fighting and pulling in the right direction together I want to back them, even if we're playing badly, but I can't help but doubt the positive words coming out of the camp when you see how we're playing.

Erik's picks, his changes, the tactics and ultimately the football that is being played all look questionable at best, and at the moment we have zero control in any game against any opponent, which surely isn't sustainable. That said we've banked the points today, and it's a relief to get a win. We can talk about papering over cracks but a win's a win, let's see if they can pish forward from here.

I'd love to hear Ten Hag say something like, 'If Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola is on the touchline, do you think that is getting ruled out for offside?'

Guy needs to stop being so passive on this. That offside call was a joke.

Pfffff.. that was hard to watch, 2 average teams struggling to find any sort of goal threat. Positives? Obviously the result, and Onana’s starting to show that he’s actually a very good keeper. But overall with the players missing we look like a very mediocre mid table side.

It was an away game straight from last season, finding a way to win with a clean sheet and solidity. Maguire MOTM with Bruno behind and Wan-Bissaka and Evans also very solid.

Pellestri probably did enough to start over Antony just for the sheer determination he showed for the goal.
I’ve been sat on my arse since 12:30 and I’ve done enough to deserve to start over Antony.

Things happen when we actually pushed our fullbacks up to support your wide players. We didn't do that enough. When we did it, we started to look a wee bit more dangerous.

Antony is a terrible footballer. We've spent 400m I keep hearing, and 1/4 of that is on that waster.

The big positive was Pellistri showing in that game that if you actually jump for a header you might win one. Better than Antony.

Such a relief but the goal doesn’t mask how awful Fernandes was for 90 minutes. Basic errors from him all the time.

Take the points and build on it. There was a sign of the players showing a bit more bite in the tackle and desire.

Jenas showed his true colours. A colossal bastard of a man.
Don't actually agree with what you wrote about Fernandes. I am usually a critic of his, but the last 30 mins or so he was the one really driving them forwards and stoped Palinha breaking by tracking him back, did some great passes as well. Scored a badly needed goal.

Completely agree with the rest of your post though.

A good performance relative to the rest of the season. Fulham are always up for it.

Defence looked solid with AWB back, and no suicide passes or runs in midfield for a change.

Unfortunately I doubt ten Hag will have learnt any lessons about picking his golden boys.
