Is anyone actually expecting us to magically transform into a good team? I mean, everyone should be used to what we're watching by now
We were all told by the deluded ones that we just needed Shaw & Martinez back and we’d be playing incredible football full of goals.

Well one 1/2 of them are back today and we’re as shit as ever.

we started well the first 15-20 minutes and then just stopped playing and stopped moving the ball quickly....EtH needs to be allover Scott and Bruno at half about being more disciplined positionally

I'm done with him. It's the manager, not the players.

Guardiola, Klopp, Arteta, plenty others have managed to coach their teams to calmly play the ball out from the back.

18 months later and every single phase of possession when we're trying to play it out we look like there is piss running down our legs. Players are terrified of doing it.

He's a fraud who can't coach shit but I don't really care if he's sacked or not.
That is the crux. Every single phase there seems to be no confidence which I can see in the players. They do not know what to do next and that’s why we see each doing his own thing and us losing possession after 5 seconds.

Garbage.

We look inferior to virtually every opponent even in the games we snatch a win.

We didn't. That was a period where we sucked the air out of Everton with some classic Moments FC and they readjusted to see what else we had. They saw that all we do is pass it back to Onana and panic and then they started going for blood.

It'll be the same this half. We'll do well to get a point.

I was TH in, but every match this season makes me wonder what he means when he keeps saying we have turned the corner. If you look at the league table we could be 6 off the top tonight, but when you look how we play and how we struggle to score, its a joke.
Maybe Ratcliffe should start with a new broom and sweep clean, sweep TH out as well.

Is Eric a con man who talks a good interview? I'm begining to come round to that opinion. Let's hope some kind of playing style comes soon before we become a Chelsea!

I want to believe in him but this insistence on playing 4-1-4-1 is absolutely crazy.

Mainoo has been nothing short of immense today but again he was the single CM on his own. No idea where McT was most of the game and not enough cover coming from Bruno/Garnacho/Rashford...

The obvious sub would have been Amrabat for McT to stregthen the middle and stop the team being so open and allow us to create through the middle.

Mainoo is who we've needed next to Casemiro all season long.

Martial has just scored so the cracks have been papered over and we're still the in form team in the league i guess. But we can't keep gifting teams the centre of the park like we do.

Maybe we have to be more patient now. We have been playing like a mess for so many games, but maybe we as a team can click someday somehow? Everton have two times of shots than us. So messy! I can only hope now.

I think you can be really pleased that we win while also acknowledging that for most of the match we looked pretty crap and lucky that everton didn’t take any of their numerous chances.

Flipping hell, this thread. You'd read the last hour's comments and think we'd just lost by three as opposed to win by three. We didn't look great but the overreaction is absurd.

5 wins in 6 in the league. Not too bad. Hope we can start performing against good teams now as well.

4 points from the next 2 would completely transform the outlook on the season. Even 3 wouldn't be a disaster

But we should all understand how much torture we endure by watching us playing this season. Maybe it’s the light in the tunnel or just a false dawn. No one knows.

ETH is silencing his haters right now
Yes and no. It’s good that we’re grinding out wins. That should give us the confidence boost that will bring about better football but we’re yet to see that. Until we see it, it doesn’t feel sustainable.

How many times have we looked good under Ten Hag since the Cabarao cup final?

We look genuinely horrible under him for the most part and his in game management is questionable to say the least.

Pep Guardiola is my idol. Can't even beat bottom of the league 4-0.

Getting results though, that's all that matters right now.

We just won 3-0 away and we're only six points off the top, having endured an absolute plague of injuries. I swear some of our fanbase would quit posting if there was nothing to moan about.

Fulham and Everton away are pretty tough fixtures to get away with 6 points. My worry (after City and Newcastle) was that he lost the players and that we need to get someone to weather the storm and grind some results if nothing changes until Everton. We still don't look good for large periods (even pretty bad at times), but he is grinding results and I have doubts that any caretaker would do better at this point while there are zero available and obvious choices for long term.

Don't think he is the one for the long term, but there is zero need for a change now considering that a new structure should pick a new manager.

I refuse to believe he sees Rashfords off the ball work every game and still picks him. Literally, get one of tech guys make a compilation of him backing out of challenges, show it to him and say "This is why you don't play next game".
This needs traction, anyone can get a plane fly over stadium our next game?

We settled into a game because of (yet another...) moment of individual brilliance. Then we couldn't two passes together against an extremely average Everton team. This is what concerns me. I still, still do not see anything to convince me of how ETH wants Manchester United to play. He isn't improving players either. Rashford and Bruno are getting worst.

Don't get me wrong, a good day for him, but the next few games will be the challenge. Everton were rubbish and we struggled for long periods in this game.

When we play the better teams, that is the test of ETH in my opinion.

Moments FC. As usual.

18 months down the line, and £400 million spent and he still hasn’t got us looking anything like a cohesive team. And the best two players on the pitch today were youth players that he had no influence in signing. It’s just not good enough.

So do we keep him out of the pitch (technical area) the rest of the season so that we can score?

Who gave chances to these youth players and allowed them chances in the preseason tour?

Everything was closer to perfection today, including patience for Martial which paid off beautifully.
