You're lunatics, the lot of you. Despite almost universal doomsday predictions pre match, cauldron of passion, Everton against the world, team in form, us further decimated with injuries etc, we come out with a 3-0 win. And you're more miserable than ever. This is where we are. Shite final 25 in the first half, an element of control apart from that, 2 great goal, 3 goals from actual attackers, great performance from Mainoo, Onana imperious, leadership from Bruno, confidence booster for Rashford.....
Cheer up, you miserable shower of cnuts.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
  • Mainoo MOTM
  • Maguire, Garnacho, Onana good
  • Shaw ok and good to have him back
  • Goals mask Rashford and Martials performances (first half especially)
  • Good to see AWB too… Dalots cross aside, did little
  • Good to see Pellistri (finally!) and Hannibal get some minutes
  • Three goals
  • Clean sheet
  • … and we got a VAR decision!
Couple of minuses… first half performance (yikes), passing from the back and too many backwards/sideways passes.

Find a way to be more front foot and use the front five more and we’ll do fine.

Shame about Garnachos VAR line and no one for Romero playing like a goalie… we’d be about top/close now. Somehow.

Great result and score. A fantastic and good goal to boot. Actual football play mostly the aame crap. Shout out to Mainoo. Should be playing regularly now.

That first half was an bad as anything we’ve served up in the post Fergie era. Just an absolute disasterclass from all involved (Mainoo & Garbacho aside).

ETH is lucky that Garnacho is a genius & Ashley Young is a crap defender.
Who is this Garbacho. Is he friends with ronalod.

3 goals.
That goal from an 18 year old.
Rashford scoring.
A clean sheet.
Onana looking great.
Mainoo back.
Shaw back and looking fit.
A good performance again from Maguire.
Martial scoring.

Yep, more of this please.

If United can keep building on the results it’s mad to think what could happen.

Glad it’s not just me that felt Onana played well. I was thinking i was watching a different game… clean sheet, saves, caught some crosses. Sounds good to me

Witnessing that goal and a great debut, both from such young United players was great. Mainoo looked far and away our best midfielder, but I very much expect him to be dropped for the next game. Just seems to be the way we do things for some reason.

Absolutely brilliant goal from Garnacho, but we didn't seize the opportunity. We were under serious pressure from then on in the first half and I was sure we'd wilt. But fair play, we came out better in the second. Even better that we did this in that atmosphere.

Some good performances but also some terrible ones that will need looking at. A clean sheet, and no further injuries (AFAIK) though, so yeah all in all a good day's work.

Disagree with the bolded. I thought Martial played very well. First half he didn't have much to work with but was challenging for long balls from Onana with a couple of nice flick-ons and one he took down and shielded until fouled. (Though on the free-kick we passed it back to Onana again).

In the second half he was moving the ball well, making good runs, good inter-play, drew a penalty and scored another beautiful goal. All round good centre forward game.

I love how people called me and some others out for daring to be just ever so slightly positive about today's game when we were only ahead 1-0. It's okay to take a bit of a breather from excessive negativity sometimes lads. We should still expect better but this was a nice confidence boost for the team that hopefully will lead to better. @Still ill I got ya bro.

I have slightly higher standards then going to a team that have spent the last two seasons fighting relegation are currently 19th (14th without the points deduction) and spending the whole first half being throughly outplayed. It’s not good enough.
I have slightly higher standards than complaining about every single fecking thing and being unable to find enjoyment out of a 3-0 win away from home against an in form, fired up Everton.

Jesus people cut Rashford a little slack he could have another 2 assists aswell as his goal yes he was poor in first half but much better in the second half can we not enjoy the scoreline without bashing players when there is no need to

The audacity of Garnacho in the 3rd minute to run 5 steps and try a bicycle kick, moving away from goal, and then smashing it in! Youth!

Great penalty from Rashford, thought for sure he was going to choke.

Martial cool as you like with his insouciant chip.

Great seeing Mainoo step up. Take a bow.

Good job, boys. Always room for improvement, but if you had said before the match we would win comfortably by 3 goals to nil and one of the goals would be a goal of the year contender, maybe we'd appreciate it more.

Nice to be comfortable for the last half of an hour of a game for a change, even if we weren't great in the first half.

All time great United goal from Garnacho, top debut from Mainoo and thought Onana was really good too.

Brighton just nicked a draw at Goodison a few weeks back and they’ve recently beat Palace and West Ham.
Just enjoy the victory mate.

Ahuh, thats why I put first half especially after him .. but it’s all opinions? :)

Garnacho scored the goal of the season, unbelievable.

Maino is my MOTM, looks so comfortable on the ball and does everything right. Hard to believe he is only 18!

I am not usually a fan of the 'give him MOTM for one moment of brilliance' award but I think today, with Garnacho's goal, you have to make an exception. Even though Mainoo and Onana were much more deserving for their all-round displays and arguably even Shaw deserved it more based on the same criteria.

There is just something so special about bicycle kicks and this one was just deliciously executed.

Much better second half performance and a deserved win in the end. At half time I could not have said that so I'm delighted with the turnaround.

Mainoo very impressive and would like to see more of him. Fernandes was good tonight too. Onana good from a saves perspective but I wanted more from his distribution today.

What can you say about that Garnacho goal though? Just something special. We'll be seeing that everywhere for a while.

Good win but very surprised our away following went so deep into our repertoire of songs that they found that godawful Michael Shields chant. It truly belongs in the dustbin of history.

Started well, scored a phenomenal goal and then pretty much were dominated for the rest of the half.

Despite still facing a few shots on goal, I felt our second half was a lot more controlled throughout. Thankfully we got the second goal which pretty much killed the game.

Also nice to see our front three score.

Mainoo has the very rare gift of looking like he has time on the ball...in the midst of midfield scrap in that atmosphere...suggests a great future for him...

Onana - excellent today. Several important saves, 2 or 3 crosses claimed or punched, clean sheet

Dalot - not bad defensively, assisted the goal of the season

Maguire - very solid today

Lindelof - poor game, actually. Couldn’t cope with DCL at all, should have been subbed at half time.

Shaw - respectable performance after a lengthy injury

Mainoo - MotM by a country mile. Excellent with the ball, very good defensively, important goal line clearance.

McTominay - very poor performance. Non-existent today, didn’t do feck all.

Bruno - good assist, did a lot of running. Average.

Garnacho - scored a wonder goal that will stay in our history forever. Did a lot of pressing, several times contributed defensively.

Rashford - terrible. Beyond terrible even. Scored a penalty, though - penalty was well taken.

Martial - well taken goal, also earned a penalty. But didn’t do anything else, inefficient at pressing. Still a good game

Bissaka - good cameo

Amrabat - nothing good, nothing bad during his cameo

Hannibal - ran a lot

Pellistri - ok outing. Pre-assist for the third goal
