One of our worst signings ever. Get rid asap - whether by loan or sale, it's a good deal for United.

I’m not too bothered they aren’t covering his full wage. Just getting this prick out the building for the rest of the season is good enough for me.

Maybe even our worst signing. Extremely expensive and unavailable. Not because of injuries, but due to lack of professionalism.

Assuming Ten Hag doesn't make it past the summer then it'll be interesting to see if the guy wants him back.

It's an odd situation that unless there's more to it feels like it's just a storm in teacup that has been allowed to go too far, it's certainly not benefited either Ten Hag or Sancho that's for sure.

You been living under a rock for the last 6 months? Or do you think taking the piss out of the club is acceptable given the wage we’re paying him?
Asked you something simple, with no malice, as I thought I might have missed something recently. You didn’t really answer my question why you deem him a prick - which is within your right, to be fair.

I don’t know, he was banished from first team by the manager - I wouldn’t class that as him taking the piss out the club. I think his wages are a non-factor. The manager spoke publicly against him and he disagreed, as he doesn’t feel it was reflective of reality. The manager’s now demanding an apology, which he feels strongly enough about not to give.

Thought he’d done something substantial to be labelled a prick. Either way, parting ways seems best for all involved.

Even covering 40% of his wages until he can be sold in the summer is better than us still paying 100%. Hopefully he does enough to make some team come in for him.

I mean that is one way to frame him accusing the manager of scapegoating him after he'd said that other players were chosen over him due to training performances.
Though an apology is probably too much to ask from a guy who couldn't even be bothered to do a push up in training.

Is Murtough is still in the club? This deal smells on him. 3 mil fee for Jadon. While we payed 10 mil fee for Amrabat.

€3.5m is the loan fee. Wages are seperate.
Have there been reports from English journalists? Because the German sources, that have been shared here, claim that it's the total investment by Dortmund. Of course, if they get their info from Dortmund's side, it may come with a favourable spin.

Dortmund are never going to cover his entire wages for the period. I doubt they're why a few quid given what they've made off selling him to us, Haaland to City and Bellingham to Madrid, so would have been nice to get a bit more as a fee but eh. Main aim: get him playing well for the shop window in the summer in the hope some team with money will come in and at least help Utd recoup their losses.

We were desperate for a midfielder and Amrabat seemed to be an import player for Fiorentina. Dortmund can probably live without Sancho and he's been banished to train with the reserves at Utd.

I'm not happy with Murtough's work either, but they're pretty different situations.

Ah I see your point. The only UK report I’ve seen that doesn’t quote Falk or Plettiberg is Ornstein in the Athletic and he doesn’t seem to mention figures.
Maybe I have it wrong.

We are right to cut our losses with him, but feel so mugged off with him that it leaves an awful taste in the mouth.

He is not good enough for the PL, too physical and fast for him. Bundesliga is his level.

My reply wasn’t a personal attack so apologies if it came across that way but I think the way he reacted to the manager’s comments and how he’s since handled himself is bang out of order.

Now I’m obviously not privy to the exact going’s on but the manager went out of his way to help Sancho when he first came in by sending him off to the Netherlands for a few months to get away from everything and sort out whatever he was going through. Since he’s returned it seems like he’s through it back in Ten Hags face by turning up late for training and half arsing it, something he’s got previous for. If the managers resorted to calling him out in public then I imagine he’s exhausted all other avenues and this is his last throw of the dice to get a response out of Sancho.

He’s then took it completely the wrong way and instead of simply apologising and knuckling down and getting himself back into contention he instead decides to sit up to all hours playing Fifa while collecting an obscene weekly wage from the club and watching his teammates struggle out on the pitch. Thats the reason I call him a prick, now I maybe wrong but that’s just the way I’m seeing the situation.

Do you seriously think we were finding a better deal?

Sancho has poisoned the well. He needs out, we need to cut losses.
I always back the manager in things like this. But in this case, guilt is 50:50 and owners/Ceo/Dof should have resolve this with them.
Sancho is very very exoensive asset and to give him away for 3 million is a bad business.

And you'd be spot on. Anyone with an ounce of sense and doesn't have an agenda against ETH will see it this way.

Red Card for Casemiro!
Heads should roll in the recruitment division, starting with the decision makers at the top. It's staggering that their incompetence has cost the club at least half a billion dollars over the last decade. This depreciation of Sancho's asset value alone should be a sackable offense.

There were rumours of his temperament while he was still at Dortmund so I'm surprised by the link, but I guess they're hoping to get similar performances to when he was there before with little risk. If this gets the dosser out the club then I guess it's only a +, but out of spite I'd almost rather just let him rot in the reserves and not play any football for another 2 years.

He’ll never have the attitude or work rate to make it at a big club. His attitude has been called out since he was a kid at City.

I hope he does well at Dortmund to raise interest because if he stinks it up for 6 months in Germany we’ll be left with this bellend on the books taking home 350k a week for the foreseeable.

The funny thing really was we all expected him to play wide right. Then there was bemusement when Ole said he prefers to play from the left. And as Ole's reign was coming to an end there were reports that he'd been discussed as a possible right wing-back.

It could have been worse. We could have bought him a year before and broken 100m.

we had 1 year to properly scout the guy and make sure that his attitude and talent match our needs. We got instead a poor attitude player who prefer playing as LW when what we needed was a RW. After spending 70m on him, he's returning to Dortmund, on a loan were we will pay a big chunk of his salary. Ole can't find a job and I won't be surprised if Mr Data analysts will join him on that as well

While it may be bad business, I believe you're being far to generous to put more than a very small amount of blame on the manager or the organization. They have bent over backwards for Sancho and he has spit in their face, not to mention simply not performed. He is not an expensive asset. He was. Stop living in the past. It was bad business once Sancho returned from his leave. We have to cut losses.

Besides all that, in what dream world have the Glazers and their puppet CEOs (and what DoF? we're talking reality here, not wishes, hopes and dreams) been willing to actually look at the footballing aspects of this club and act accordingly?

This isn't about how we wish things had been. It's about how to deal what the stinker on our hands with the organization we have. Starting over is ugly, but to think we were ever going to get better than what we're getting at this point is laughable.

Honestly couldn't give a shit about how much we get. They're not exactly getting the player we bought, they're getting a player who's hardly played and not been good when he has played for us. He just needs to feck off, I only hope he does well so we can sell him quicker.

Cue the predictable Dortmund tweet of Sancho in a Dortmund shirt with the “you love to see it” caption

And how we will all laugh because it’s so funny

I just hope some asks the obvious question with our next signing...

"So how do we shift the fecker when he turns into Sancho? Can we please not offer anyone more than 50% over their current salary?"

I will be glad when he is gone.
Some on here talk about Amad not being physically up to the challenge but from what I have seen he has more strength on the ball than Sancho and his technique is great as well.
Looking forward to Amad getting a real crack at the RW spot from now on.
