The Caf's Roy Keane.
Why don't managers gatecrash parties anymore?
To be fair, pre-9/11 you could threaten pilots so they'd take you where ever you wanted to go.He didn't fancy the flight to Belfast
Are you a peeper?Funny, I was literally just reading about this minutes before the thread was posted.
Ferguson didn’t need too.I think even Fergie stopped doing that sort of thing. The better and more modern way is dropping the player, costing them performance related play or selling them.
Or make Rashford play a game in the same outfit.Ten Hag should just show up in VIP at the club the players frequent while wearing a tight dress, red lipstick but no wig. That's a proper power move that the lads can respect.
Aside from Ferdinand, Rooney, Schmeichel etcFerguson didn’t need too.
He wouldn’t have kept players with attitude issues at any stage of his time here.
How is that better than addressing it in a way that doesn't keep the player in question out of the team and from helping the club achieve it's targets? Anytime a player is dropped for discipline the club is harming itself too unless the end result justifies it.I think even Fergie stopped doing that sort of thing. The better and more modern way is dropping the player, costing them performance related play or selling them.
But how many years did it take him to clear the club of the bad apples? He wouldn’t have kept players with attitude issues at any stage of his time here.
Yes... would you not?If it came out that Fergie used to brand players arses if they were out of line, would you be shocked?
noYes... would you not?
They delivered on the pitch though and their work ethic was not consistently called into question.Aside from Ferdinand, Rooney, Schmeichel etc
They were world class players. There is a trade off. What attitude issues did these players have btw?Aside from Ferdinand, Rooney, Schmeichel etc
A fine is the obvious answer. That said, dropping Rashford isn't much of a big deal at this point. How is that better than addressing it in a way that doesn't keep the player in question out of the team and from helping the club achieve it's targets? Anytime a player is dropped for discipline the club is harming itself too unless the end result justifies it.
I think it's safe to say at least half of this forum would have wanted him sacked by the end of the first season. But how many years did it take him to clear the club of the bad apples?
