Officially the best poker player on RAWK.
I like the guy but he was finished after the way it went at Real and second stint at Chelsea. He's damaged goods.

Just wish he'd followed after Fergie, would have kept us competitive at least for a couple of seasons when he was in his prime.
Absolutely the only time he could have thrived was straight after Fergie. The only guy on the planet with the stones to do the job well enough was him.

He was a busted flush by the time he came here and now he's dead in the water. He briefly changed the game with his boring tactics but has never learned to change to meet the new eras.

A part of me is thinking we should just bring him in for two years and let him run riot.
The media and players taking the piss will be quaking in their boots.

Definitely best manager we had after SAF.

Now that ain't so bad for a guy who was not backed many a time by the owners eh?!

Same. I like Mourinho, and i've pretty much resigned ourselves to being shit at this point, so at least it'll be entertaining.
No it won't. And it wasn't entertaining last time.

Says the person who wants a manager that constantly gets sacked to come back to the club.
.....and he's sacked because he's not got the luxury of the backing like Pep.
Even with a shite team like Roma he won the Conference League for them and they had not won anything for dog's ears.

Not really. The players will collude with the media and chuck him out. It is that easy nowadays.

He got the boot because of the Pogba cancer which has infected the culture of the club. He was right about the state of the club. Completely right. Rashford would not be getting the level of acceptance after his misdemeanours. He would bring much needed discipline. The football before was pragmatic but ultimately winning.

I would have him back.

That tactic is less likely to work under INEOS. They don't sound like they'd be taken for a ride by daft player power.

Bring him back and listen to him this time.
Abso-bloody-lately. He was right. The club backed the Pogba faction and that culture he was trying to destroy in his own inimitable way remains. Get him in.

The only mental thing here is your rude response.
Oh give over  your rightly being called out for having such a mad view considering how terrible Jose was during, and has been since, he was our manager.

We offered Rashford and our players a counsellor. Some of them will need one if he comes back

Situation was far too toxic in the end. We need to move on from this type of manager.
The toxicity was the result of the Pogba cancer and that culture remains ala Rashford and all. The toxicity remains. He should have been backed.

Long term I don't see it as a good idea, but I'd love him to come in a shithouse Arteta and co.

I don't quite understand why he gets so much hate around here as he has been the best manager you've had since SAF retired. That being said you guys shouldn't appoint him back at all.
Nope, that was Ole. By far. José is 3rd behind him and ETH.

I mean it wasn't but whatever we finished 6th and 20+ points off the top of the league in 2 full seasons and he imploded the 3rd season, so the football was drab and the results were also pretty drab

He was never as bad as some made out. He’s still probably tactically one of the best coaches in the world.

United broke him , I think a lot of United fans don’t accept it, but that’s what happened. For the entertainment value of seeing sh*t kick off, I’d like to see it in a hypothetical sense. I actually think he’d potentially be a super manager that could work out in the right environment.

But there’s way too much baggage and the long term restructuring doesn’t lend itself to a Jose appointment. Would have worked moreso under Woodward but we will be more professional and long term in our thinking and less interested in individual quality of manager ; moreso in how the manager fits in with the clubs structure.

So no, I don’t see it happening. As an interim manager it’s not beyond the realms of possibility. If United lose to wolves and/or drop a lot of points between now and city game I think INEOS could let ETH go.

Wouid certainly make the last few months interesting.

Ah give over, the same thing happened at United that happens with Jose at nearly every club he's been at, he turns toxic and implodes and leaves a trail of shite afterwards. Anyone that wants that shit show again is bonkers.

I thought winning the Europa League, League Cup, Community Shield and second place finish in his first season was entertaining. If you don't, then perhaps you prefer losing football. That is what we have. Nobody is coming close to bettering Jose post-Fergie.

Trophies are only for egos, don't you know?
