i'd say never change a running system... and that seemed to set the scene for the 5-1’s the following year!

Im hoping that in Saliba, Gabriel and Rice, we’re a bit stronger down the defensive spine than when our spine was made up of the likes of Mustafi, Koscielny, Gabriel Paulista and Coquelin!i'd say never change a running system
It seems that not yet.Do we have the specific date for the matches. I'm hoping Arsenal vs Bayern
City vs Madrid are on different days
But to be honest Bayern dominated both of the games. The 0-2 could also have been a 4-2 and the second goal was in the 87. minute or something. The first was actually quite tight, in 2012/13 we lost the first leg 1-3 at home but actually went to Munich and won 0-2 to get put out in away goals.
Logic says it will be this (for tv markets purposes):Do we have the specific date for the matches. I'm hoping Arsenal vs Bayern
City vs Madrid are on different days
No, Dortmund is still there. At this stage and level all the teams left are very good teams, but I am glad we didn't need to play Atleti next round.
If Arsenal lose it will be because they've bottled it not because BM are better.RIP Arse
It be like that
Yeah well if you rely on a 5th place spot and a English team to win the CL to get into the CL, you don’t have much to stand on anywayBayern-Arsenal is bad news for Villa/Spurs. If Bayern go through, England lose another club to rack up the points while Germany would extend its lead over them. So is City getting Real.
This would be my guess, and I left out Bayern vs Arsenal as I am bias obviously.Logic says it will be this (for tv markets purposes):
City vs R.Madrid & Atletico vs Dortmund
Bayern vs Arsenal & PSG vs Barcelona
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid both have the first leg at home. There could be some potential issues of having two CL matches in Madrid on the same day.Logic says it will be this (for tv markets purposes):

Makes senseReal Madrid and Atletico Madrid both have the first leg at home. There could be some potential issues of having two CL matches in Madrid on the same day.
If he doesnt get booked in the first legBellingham is definitely hitting his arms out celebration at the Etihad
One of the ties will be switched around, thats what usually happensReal Madrid and Atletico Madrid both have the first leg at home. There could be some potential issues of having two CL matches in Madrid on the same day.
Do you want an Arsenal-City final ?This is not the best draw for the English teams to maximise points towards the 5th CL place.
What? What's really gross is that City will have faced Real Madrid more times in Europe than us by the end of the quarter-finals
All down to being taken over by an authoritarian state and shamelessly cheating their way to the top
Thought that Leipzig loss would be their last shot under Simeone, would be brilliant if he finally wins it tbhAtletico will be in the final. I would love to see Atleti- Bayern final.
Liverpool will win Europa League, Villa the Conference League I'd say. Uefa has it 90% probability of 5th getting it atm. This is not the best draw for the English teams to maximise points towards the 5th CL place.
They also had Madrid in a pretty forgettable CL SF in 2015/16 and they had each other in the group stages in City's earlier CL days one year too. What?
Cup winners cup
Tie with Ronaldo hat trick
Tie with Redondo magic
Tie with Nani red card
Have City exceeded that? Last 2 seasons and the Covid tie come to mind
Ah cheers. They also had Madrid in a pretty forgettable CL SF in 2015/16 and they had each other in the group stages in City's earlier CL days one year too.

That's very trueYeah well if you rely on a 5th place spot and a English team to win the CL to get into the CL, you don’t have much to stand on anyway
I really hope not. The most boring and dreadful football there is.Thought that Leipzig loss would be their last shot under Simeone, would be brilliant if he finally wins it tbh
Not UEFA, it’s OPTA…. And the probability went down from 83 to 71 after the draw.Liverpool will win Europa League, Villa the Conference League I'd say. Uefa has it 90% probability of 5th getting it atm.

The Arsenal - Bayern and R. Madrid - City ties are confirmed to be on the same day.
That's a bit of a shame but I suppose they are just keeping the ties facing each other in the SF on the same day.
Very impressive for Czech league to be 7th, ahead of Turkey and PortugalNot UEFA, it’s OPTA…. And the probability went down from 83 to 71 after the draw.

https://x.com/arsenal/status/1768691094584270901?s=46They havent confirmed the fixture dates yet but its highly likely the 2 English clubs will play on different days for TV reasons.
It's not *that* surprising giving that Portugal still divides the points by 6 while Czechia divides by 4.Very impressive for Czech league to be 7th, ahead of Turkey and Portugal
Until United are back in the mix, yeah, as a neutral I'd prefer to see the best clubs in the world play each other in the final.Yeah let's have a draw system instead where the best 2 or 3 clubs can face each other in the final every year. That's so exciting right.
