Mcmanaman, only anecdotal but I know quite a few Liverpool fans and none of them regard him as a lfc legend and I really can't see real madrid thinking of him as a legend either
The way Ince celebrated after scoring for Liverpool against us soured a lot of peoples opinion of him and puts a huge question mark over any claim of him being a Man Utd club legend. Those of us who saw Ince play for us would disagree, Ince is one of the big reasons why United dominated the early PL years
Well Henrick Larsoon has cult status at United, and he's a legend at Celtic and BarcaI don't think it's more ridiculous than to be 3 club legend. Ronaldo is legend of the game, for sure, but I don't think there should be multiple club legends.
Absolutely, that's the problem with many mentioned here, too many extraordinary players but at the same time journeyman. Di Maria could have of become one if he didn't face a dispute with the Club managers, his demands and the new transfers.I wouldn't say he's a Madrid legend, he was amazing for them though and they would not have won the 2014 CL without him, he was incredible in the final. Same way Bale isn't a Madrid legend despite winning goals in 2 CL finals for them. Madrid legend is a really, really high bar. I'd say of the last 15 years Ramos, Ronaldo, Modric, Benzema are the only absolute certs, with Kroos and Casemiro having very strong cases too.
You forgot Marcelo, the most decorated player in Madrid's history.I wouldn't say he's a Madrid legend, he was amazing for them though and they would not have won the 2014 CL without him, he was incredible in the final. Larsson done a job at United but he was well past his best. Wouldn't personally put him as some sort of cult figure. A few months doesn't attain that status for me unless they do something unbelievable.Well Henrick Larsoon has cult status at United, and he's a legend at Celtic and Barca
+ he redeemed himself for England as well, that game against Greece at OT he basically dragged England to the WC finalsYou must be a younger fan or trolling. No united fan gives a flying feck what happened for his national team, why the hell would that come up in legend debates? He didn't even want to leave us to begin with. Best player in our greatest ever season. One of the most talented, hardest working players ever. Whatever his off the pitch shenanigans entailed on the pitch Beckham is incredibly underrated.
To me Beckham is undoubtedly a legend for united and England. He was thought of very highly at Madrid as well but not sure he'd be classed as a legendary player for them+ he redeemed himself for England as well, that game against Greece at OT he basically dragged England to the WC finals
All true but he is regarded with cult status at United by a lot of fans who were around at the timeLarsson done a job at United but he was well past his best. But each to their own, brilliant player in his day, too bad he was at United aged 26 and played for 5/6 years in our red shirt
Not at Madrid I agree, but anyone disagreeing with United and/or England knows feck all about football IMO!To me Beckham is undoubtedly a legend for united and England. He was thought of very highly at Madrid as well but not sure he'd be classed as a legendary player for them
I am quite sure majority of non United football world hardly even knows he played for us and connects him with Barca, and rest with Celtic.Well Henrick Larsoon has cult status at United, and he's a legend at Celtic and Barca
Sammy Traoré is a PSG legend!Armand has no business being mentioned.
PSG legends pre QSI are the likes of Rai, Susic, Dahler, Luis Fernandez, Fournier, Pauleta, Ricardo, Rocheteau, Baratelli or Lama. Then you have a group of players that could/should be legends but aren't really like Le Guen, Bravo, Ginola, Weah or Valdo.
And yes Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Maxwell and Thiago Silva are PSG legends.
I'm shocked anyone would think David Beckham's United legend status is even up for debate. I totally disagree with saying Ronaldo isn't one too, but I can see where people are coming from with that seeing as he left before his absolute peak and his antics when he came back. Not at Madrid I agree, but anyone disagreeing with United and/or England knows feck all about football IMO!
You're right Marcelo would be up there tooYou forgot Marcelo, the most decorated player in Madrid's history.
Casemiro probably not.
That's it, it's a personal choice. I was around then and long before that, I've no issues with others regarding him or anyone else with whatever status they believe he is. Just me personally don't see him in that way.All true but he is regarded with cult status at United by a lot of fans who were around at the time
Forlan is a Man Utd legend, we still sing his name at matches today and to say Owen isnt a Liverpool legend is ridiculousNo they are not whether you like it or not.
Still doesn't change the fact that he has a cult status with a lot of United fans, as does Diego Forlan whom I suspect the vast majority of non-United fans have no idea he played for us eitherI am quite sure majority of non United football world hardly even knows he played for us and connects him with Barca, and rest with Celtic.
The important thing is the scousers know who he is and what he didStill doesn't change the fact that he has a cult status with a lot of United fans, as does Diego Forlan whom I suspect the vast majority of non-United fans have no idea he played for us either
It might be ridiculous but apparently Owen isn't regarded as one by a lot ofthe mousers, Forlan, IMO, is a cult hero not a legendForlan is a Man Utd legend, we still sing his name at matches today and to say Owen isnt a Liverpool legend is ridiculous
No argument thereThe important thing is the scousers know who he is and what he did
Sammy Traoré is definitely a legend.Sammy Traoré is a PSG legend!
What about Mbappé? He has to be a PSG legend even though he has never been cherished by the fans like Cavani or Ibra. Does he make the top 5?
Veron is a legend at 2-3 clubs.Juan Sebastian Veron
Owen Hargreaves
We sing Forlan’s name because of his brace against scousers. That’s about it really. I love Forlan but he did nothing for us to be honest. And Owen isn’t considered a legend at Liverpool for right or wrong reasons. That’s like saying Tevez is a legend for us. I don’t know how that’s news to you.Forlan is a Man Utd legend, we still sing his name at matches today and to say Owen isnt a Liverpool legend is ridiculous
Well Liverpool fans class Gerrard as a club legend despite the fact he cost them at least 2 league titles and was ready to turn his back on them and join Chelsea until he was forced to stay.It might be ridiculous but apparently Owen isn't regarded as one by a lot ofthe mousers, Forlan, IMO, is a cult hero not a legend
How are you comparing Tevez to Owen? Owen won Liverpool a treble in 2001 while Tevez was a sub for us.We sing Forlan’s name because of his brace against scousers. That’s about it really. Casillas, Carvajal and Marcelo?I wouldn't say he's a Madrid legend, he was amazing for them though and they would not have won the 2014 CL without him, he was incredible in the final. 4th on all time appearances and was “Mr PSG” at one stage. Very solid performer who played over 400 games for the club, won player of the year and played numerous positions over nearly a decade at the club. He is definitely in the discussion for his longevity and how fond supporters were for him, much like Park for us.Armand has no business being mentioned.

Ahh.. didn’t realize he was in their HOFI considered this as a really good one, but he won the treble at Inter and is one of only 20 players in their HoF, so I think he is well considered a legend there despite their rich history.
Madrid easilyWas Luis Figo a legend anywhere? I know he played for both Real and Barcelona which cant have done him any favors.
I was quite surprised too. But I guess that treble season is iconic in the clubs history. Milito is there too alongside Meazza and Mazzola!Ahh.. didn’t realize he was in their HOF
He really isn't. He has longevity during one of the worst period of club history and while he was a good player, he has never been Mr PSG and never will. During most of his tenure Pauleta was Mr PSG and after that they didn't really have one but the closest thing to it would be Zoumana Camara.4th on all time appearances and was “Mr PSG” at one stage. Plenty of articles refer to him as such and he got a really nice send-off. I think you are underestimating fans fondness for him, but we shall agree to disagree. I understand your argument as adheres to the players’ quality having him miss the cut.He really isn't. The thing about Armand is that he had a very mild personality and his play wasn't inspiring. He is just a good player that stated a long time.
Plenty of articles write utter bs and it's an example of it. PSG fans having fondness for him(which would be an overstatement) doesn't make him a legend, the same applies to Sammy Traoré, Mario Yepes or Pochettino.Plenty of articles refer to him as such and he got a really nice send-off. There aren’t many players who would play that many games for a club, be popular with the fans and wouldn’t even be considered, but I accept your argument.
I think Atletico consider Forlán a legend for them. He's the only striker to win the Golden Boot for Atletico. Here’s the new list
Lukaku
Owen
Ozil
Alexis Sanchez
Higuain
Aubameyang
Forlan
Roy Makaay
Hargreaves
