Listening to people on here, you'd have thought Antony was Obertan in the Sheff Utd game while Amad was 2011 Messi.

Both had ho-hum 6/10 games and were a bit overly safe on the ball, though Antony could easily have had an assist or two in the first half, and seems to slowly be getting out of his truly awful form in general.

This. The love in for Amad is genuinely hilarious. You'd think he's scored/assisted every time he came on. Amad scored the winner goal against Liverpool yes but Antony also scored in the same game. Some people have a genuine hatred for Antony at this point. And like you said, Antony could have had one or two assists in that game against Sheff Utd and Amad was relatively quiet.

I don't think there is any conspiracy or favoritism from the manager here. He has shown he is willing to drop or pick players. Even this season he has dropped his apparent favorite Antony lots.

He came on at 55 minutes in the last game and was quite average.

Thing with Amad is his defenders cry for him because of how he looks on the ball. His problem is off it. There are games this season where he's been openly shouted at from Bruno for not working off the ball and dropping into the right positions. Until he fixes that he won't start.
