A veto means you get nothing in that instanceWhat about his famous 'veto'.
He's ruined us.
A veto means you get nothing in that instanceWhat about his famous 'veto'.
He's ruined us.
Explain why
How many of the great recent prem managers had previous experience in the league? Pep? Klopp? Slot? Tuchel? Conte? Iraola? He doesn't have much experience in the Premier League.
Can he learn fast? Can he adapt?
Who knows?... I guess we'll find out.
(I hope that he does, but it is not guaranteed. A lot of managers did well in other leagues but failed in the PL.)
Yeah that says it all reallyBecause he's not as good an option as Thomas Frank apparently.
In that case I'd much rather we still had the £100m+A veto means you get nothing in that instance
Absolutely. Well he’s actually Berrada’s man by all accounts but INEOS are clearly behind it.There is no way Ineos brought in Amorim knowing fine well his set up doesn't suit a lot of these players then saying you know what, this isn't working we'll get someone else.
His is their man and I fully expect them to stay the course(barring relegation which isn't happening).PSR/FFP allowing, they will back him to move on whoever he sees fit(poster boy Rashford included) and bring in players he wants and i for one welcome that, for far too long the players have got away with it, not anymore it seems.I'm convinced he will make us better but as we are finding out its a tough ride and incredibly frustrating to watch us self destruct every single game.
I wondered if anyone else had clocked this.Him telling Bruno to get sent off is just bad coaching imo

Bore off lad!
What a ridiculous post! You do know we don’t have Ten Hag in charge right cause this aptly describes him.
More? As he's not signed a single player, who one of the none were average?
What?!?
What average players has he brought in?
Ridiculous.
And a spiritual issueThis is a psychological issue
But if adapting quickly means band-aid solutions that flatter to deceive and get us up to say 8th, then I’d rather he stick to his principles, we take the short-term pain, and hopefully a hard-working team with an identity emerges at the end of it all. Some people can adapt quickly, some people cannot. That's true for any job.
And it is especially important for a manager, ie someone who is the boss for a group of people.
This "buying average players" thing is a fallacy. We need solid, reliable players who are suitable for their roles.how did you not understand that point?
'more average players' referring to what we already have. Amorim will just dip into the network he is familiar with and buy 'more average players'.
This club isn't going to get better players than the likes of Fernandes, Ugarte, de ligt and Martinez (they are not average. If a manager can't get something out of these type of players, he will never be good enough and the excuse of 'i need to sign players who fit into my system' is just cope.
I've got no doubt Amorim is just another failure..and there's nothing unsophisticared in admitting it.
Exactly. And full disclosure: I got caught up in the post FA Cup euphoria and wanted ETH to stay. I couldn’t have been more misguidedThe word patience has suffering as a root meaning. How hard can it be to just keep still for a while and let the man work?
So many posters are so fecking confused, it is mind boggling.
I bet they voted to keep Ten Hag after 18 months of obvious and nauseating deterioration and head-scratchingly nonsensical tactics, because we won a final, but they lose their shit after 2 months of Amorim because we are losing a few games.
I can't imagine he does, he will be prepared for bad results and lost games.I feel for the guy.
I wonder if he regrets taking the job.
Than before he came. There's positives in possession and some XG stats, but a big part is because of the system. We are currently conceding a feck ton, and our attacks are even more disjointed. So we are a lot worse than what? Than we were last week?
He does not. Unlike some of our fans he can handle these situationsI feel for the guy.
I wonder if he regrets taking the job.
He's been here for less than 2 months and you are already sure he is going to fail? Give him a proper pre-season as well as a transfer window to improve the squad to his style and judge him after that.how did you not understand that point?

He just arrived ffs and took over a crap team full of lazy idiotsI think Amorim will suffer the same fate as ETH. He doesn’t deserve it but it will happen as we keep losing. Our players are mentally fragile and part of it could be down to the constant churn of managers. I don’t believe a player like Martinez for example could become so poor all of a sudden even in a tactical system change. It doesn’t compute.
I strongly believe we will flirt with relegation this season but hopefully this pain will lead to something in the future.
Why do you use logic here? He's been here for less than 2 months and you are already sure he is going to fail? Give him a proper pre-season as well as a transfer window to improve the squad to his style and judge him after that.
