I keep reading about us not creating chances in order to defend Hojlund but in essence, being an attacker, he is part of that very problem.
Theres so much to whinge about in his game.... His 2nd touch always a tackle, the way he gets into physical duels and loses every time. The way the height of his head is strangly lower when he jumps for a header than it would be if he didnt jump but for me, his biggest problem is that he has literally zero football intelligence which consequently means his positional play is terrible and his movement is none existent.
2 prime examples of his lack of intelligence last night was his dummy in the box. He never once looked, in the build up to Yoro's cross to see if he had support behind him and also a moment in the 1st half when we broke with Bruno in a 3v3. Bruno was running centrally with Hojlund to his right. All he had to do was vary his body movement to throw his defender off and give himself a yard or 2 of space. Instead he just ran in a straight line, at the same pace as his marker, basically ruling himself out as an option for Bruno.
If anyone remembers the above scenario, i guarantee that if we had a decent striker, Bruno gets an assist in that exact situation 99 times out of 100.
Him not scoring goals regularly is not about the service. Its about him and his lack of intelligence!
