Never understand the hate he gets. I liked Dan. Fastest player I’ve ever seen, ran for days, good honest pro and was very useful in big games when we played counter attacking under Ole.
His End product could be wasteful but good god look at Garnacho’s…

Not thinking he’s good enough is okay. To hate on the guy who tried his best for us is just being an awful supporter.
We sold him and left a lot of poisonous attitudes in that dressing room who should have gone before him.

It is. You at least get some tactical flexibility. If you were leading 1-0 and down to 10 for example, you’re subbing Sancho without question.

We absolutely still talk about Welbeck as he's been pretty consistently playing Premier League football ever since he left. I'd be surprised if that's the way things turn out with Jadon Sancho.

And Welbeck is in my opinion extremely likable. He ended up being too limited for us but it always felt like he gave everything. Sancho should be forgotten not only by United fans but Football in general.

Nah, that's not harsh enough. IMO he should have his head shaved and be forced to make a naked walk of atonement through Manchester with Erik ten Hag walking behind him, screaming 'shame!' on repeat
 
Wasn't he actually playing well during the start of his Chelsea stint? Seems to have defaulted back to downing tools now. He was regarded a generational talent before we signed him for a reason. The talent is definitely there but the guy seems to have some major psychological issues. Curious if we have ever tried hiring a sports psychologist to sit him down and get his head back in the game.

He had something to prove when he arrived at Chelsea but he reverted back to his normal personality once he settled in. He just doesn’t have the drive to keep making the effort. A shame really but other clubs will keep giving him chances & the pay checks will keep coming so why would he bother.

We tried over those 3-4 months in 22/23, he really got a lot of time to get his head back into it. Also got an ovation first game back. Nothing changed.

If a player doesn't want to be a high level player there is no need wasting our energy or minds in his stead. You may think that my point is harsh or unfair but today Sancho is a nothing player, there is hundreds of players that are more worthy of positive attention, he isn't one of them. And there is no need to scream, insult or anything else.

Wasn't Welbeck injured most of his time at Arsenal, as soon as he got himself fit they sold him.

Although, tbf, he's doing alright/so-so at Brighton.

He played about as many games there as he did for us. And now after more games for Brighton than either he's actually in the top 100 all time Premier League appearances (currently 77th).
 
He was over hyped at Dortmund. Few games i saw were exactly what we ended up getting. British media hyped him up with a few select highlights that made him look good. Just my opinion.

A player who has contributed to more than 100 goals, won the cup of a top 4 league as top scorer and played a UCL final before turning 24 will obviously be remembered by the football world. It's understandable that United fans dislike him but claiming international football fans 'should' forget him because of how he conducted himself at United is a bit egocentric.

Will he be remembered any more than Götze (minus the WC winning goal) or say someone like Deisler?

Sancho joins the list of failed talents who didn't get the career that was expected from them. Freddy Adu isn't forgotten as well.

People will forget those ‘achievements’ and just remember how bad he has been. He has far greater exposure in the PL.

Furthermore, what you have outlined consists of just a domestic cup.

I’m not an avid Sancho ‘hater’, but bar being recognised as good enough to be a professional footballer - no one bar a few German fans will remember anything he did. Even then, it’s not spectacular.

He’s most likely to end up being the answer to an obscure quiz question.

Deisler is a fair comparison, especially due to the mental issues that might play a role in Sancho's case as well.

Götze reached higher heigths and while he never fully recovered from his health issues he currently is one of the best CMs in Germany, far from being forgotten.

Maybe I'm totally misremembering it but Deisler actually tried when he was on the field.

He did. Until he couldn't anymore and ended his career very early.

Just speculating, but if it's true that Sancho has mental health issues than we see maybe with Sancho how Deisler could have looked if he hadn't ended it.

That's the difference for me. I totally respect the idea that a talented player isn't motivated to play Football and decides to do something else early. But in a team sport you can't go on the pitch and literally sabotage your team.

It wasn't a lack of motivation, it was a case of severe depression. But nonetheless I get your point. And again, I am just speculating, I don't know why Sancho is acting and playing like he is, the only obvious thing is that something is wrong.
 
Going from bad to worse in the sense that he's sucking too badly at Chelsea so he'll end up back here unlike Rashy who's doing reasonably well for Villa.

I absolutely don't want this virus to return to the team.
 
I think whichever club winds up stuck with him probably sends him out on loan. I dont know who would take him though. I'd pay a pile of money to not buy him if i was chelsea personally. If there's any say on the matter from our side i'd tell them to get lost. Honestly they could offer 25m to not take him and i'd turn it down.
 
He's just so average physically and what I think is the most overlooked aspect of his mediocrity is that he hasn't improved any area of his game. He's always gotten by playing how he likes but now that that's not really effective anymore, it's up to him to find new ways to be useful.

Compare him and a player like Bernardo Silva, both similar in stature but you can see Bernardo worked very hard to make sure he wasn't just a dribbler and could impact games in multiple ways.

Sancho is happy to be average, he gets paid either way so he doesn't really care to improve or put in the hard yards to reinvent his style.

At the equivalent point in his Chelsea career Sancho was also doing “reasonably well” with loads of people getting giddy over some fairly mundane assists. Let’s wait and see a bit longer before we compare their respective loan spells.
 
So, Chelsea's "significant penalty" for not signing Sancho this summer is seemingly £5m....
