Not sure how thats over the top and silly, or inaccurate, but if you say so. It is basically exactly the same thing.
It seems absolutely mental to me. His lack of adaptability and in game management is going to be the death of him.
I think there would be an argument for him staying and getting a full pre-season if it wasn't for his insistence on a very precise system that apparently needs another overhaul to achieve.
Ultimately you need to ask yourself has Amorim shown ANYTHING that suggests if he was backed with hundreds of millions he is the answer? What's more likely, he 180's the side to rapid improvement next season, or that he flops next season as well and suddenly the squad is left with a few hundred million wasted on purchasing players for a very precise system almost no other top managers use?
I think if he wants to stay he'd ultimately need to meet things half way, if he can start doing well THEN you earn the right to have your own overhaul of the squad. But you can't take the club to a bottom half finish and fail this badly and expect to suddenly be heavily backed for an overhaul based on blind faith alone.
