Norwich City Football Club nicknamed The Canaries, Yellows, and The Citizens; are a professional football club based in Norwich, Norfolk. Norwich City F.C. was formed following a meeting at the Criterion Cafe in Norwich on 17 June 1902. During the First World War, with football suspended and facing spiraling debts, City went into voluntary liquidation in 1917, and were officially reformed in 1919. After struggling to crack into the top tier of English football for decades, Norwich finally got promoted into the First Division under Ron Saunders in 1972, sandwiching two League Cup titles - won in 1962 and 1985. In recent season, Norwich City have re-acquired their reputation as a "yo-yo club", oscillating between the Premier League and the Championship. Norwich's most prominent rivalry includes fellow East Anglican club Ipswich Town, followed by minor rivalries with Colchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield United; and they play their home games at Carrow Road Norwich.

Feck you and your philosophy LvG.

Plays Nick Powell while our outfield player of the season last year rots on the bench. Disgusting.

A game to get the confidence going again. Seriously, at home vs Norwich it's a 3 pointer.

Schneiderlin being back means we probably won't concede at least. And we're at home. probably like a 1 or 2-0 win.. But even so, hard to get too excited unless by some miracle, Ancelotti comes in for Van Gaal.

I dunno. Norwich will park the bus, but then why bother. Bournemouth just outplayed us. We have no potent goal scoring threat. It's depressing.

I think Van Gaal will probably cling onto the the job to make this game.

A bad result here would probably be the end of him at Utd though.

I'm more interested in what the atmosphere at the ground is going to be like than the inevitably shite football on display.

Should I sell my ticket? I could use the money, and I got nothing out of my last trip to Old Trafford (last weekend)

Norwich were weird today against Everton. Should have been 5/6 down at halftime, but then came back in the second half and totally dominated. So it depends on the side that will show up, and with the atmosphere at O.T likely to be quite poisonous, they have a chance.

I can't bring myself to want us to lose. I think we will win this one and it will buy LVG time which is ultimately fine.

Having said that I probably won't be care much if we do score and won't care if they score either.

Why would you write something like that when we've just lost to Bournemouth?

    That's Bournemouth!

Well Norwich should have got a point at the Etihad and they've draw with Arsenal and a pretty decent Everton. So this should be fun...

    Finally, an easy win.
That's what I thought when we played PSV, at home. We drew.
Against Bournemouth, many people thought we'd score 3 or more goals. We lost.
We've lost 2 games in a row and I feel that no game is going to be an easy win for us. Why? To win we need to score and realistically, we can't score more than 1 goal in a 90 minute game, unless OG makes an appearance.

I'll go with 1-1 or 1-0 (to us).

Not on a wum at all. How low can one's standards be when Norwich at home is deemed a tough match?
My friend. We are just being realistic. We have lost our last 2 games. We need to approach this game, like we we are playing Barcelona (or any other elite team). It's sad, but we can't afford to be complacent, as this could result in us losing.

You would think that a home game against Norwich would be an automatic 3-pointer, but we're at the point where it's a legitimate possibility that it will be either another 0-0 or even 0-1 to Norwich.

We are a shower of shit at the moment, and there is absolutely nothing to suggest that won't change.

If Smalling and or Herrera are back then 1 or 2-0 United, maybe.

Not even looking forward to seeing our games anymore. Just want our season to end. Get Van Gaal out, bring in Pep and build from there. 0-1 to Norwich.

We should get the guy on the scoreboard to put 0-1 from the beginning. As long as we only equalize, we should play well for most of the game.

Anyone looking forward to this? Just me?

If we are still looking short at the back I'd like to see Varela and CBJ again.

Didn't Herrera play against Bournemouth? I was sure he did. And we lost.
Unless I was seeing things...which is possible.

    0-0

But what matters is the 80% possession
Precisely. And in my mind (and probably LVGs), that game against Bournemouth - we won that game, due to our better possession stat.
Same goes for Wolfsburg - we won that game too., on the basis of higher possession stat.

I think a lot would also take that 0-0 now.
Before the Bournemouth game, I would have taken 0-0. I even wrote this.
But this Norwich game is a home game and statistically, we are actually stronger at home.
So, I'd like to see us try and beat these guys.
With a bit of luck, we can beat these guys. It won't be easy though, given our recent poor form and injuries.

PSV are a confident side, third in their league table, and Bournemouth had found a surge of team spirit rescuing a draw against Everton and beating Chelsea. We should still expect to beat Norwich.
