Shrewsbury Town Football Club - nicknamed Salop, The Blues, The Town, or simply - The Shrews - are a professional football club based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England; and were founded in 1886 following the demise of first Shropshire Wanderers and later indirectly after Castle Blues. Although they haven't been competitive in the higher divisions throughout their history, Shrewsbury hold the unique distinction of winning the Welsh Cup 6 times, a record for an English club. The club plays its home games at the New Meadow, after previously playing them at Gay Meadow (from 1910-2007); and has a long-standing sporting rivalry with Walsall and Wolverhampton Wanderers; and more recently - Hereford United.

Think we can scrape a draw if we're at our very best but they'll be determined so it could go easily be 2 or 3 to them.

Must be tough coming in as a new manager with half your squad injured and starting with a cup game. At least it's Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury will show more fight than our players, they'll also know they can beat us given how terrible we are.

Honestly, back Shrewsbury to win at this point.

I predict a lacklustre performance with our GK being man of the match and Shrewsbury given all the encouragement they could possibly hope for to win the game. 2-1 to them.

Shrewsbury will be disappointed with a loss after watching tonight games, it's either going end in a (former) giant killing or replay.

I will be genuinely shocked if we win. I am shocked at every win under Louis Van Gaal.

First thought is they'll take us to a replay. The whole squad will be the same as tonight, bar a youth goalkeeper on the bench. Maybe Borthwick-Jackson will be back... (Can't believe I'm saying that as a Manchester United fan at this stage of the season).

I realise that some people think we will lose, but we have beaten the likes of Sheffield Utd and Derby, so I think we should be able to beat these guys.
In our next EPL game though - I think we are going to take one heck of a beating. An absolute spanking.

There isn't one team in Europe right now that we wouldn't be able to lose against.
    Indeed.
I remember at the start of our game against Midgetland, the commentator stated that Midgetland are probably the worst team in the competition.
This is when I thought, "Oh crap, if we lose to these guys, what then?"

Shrewsbury will be buzzing for this, I hope we play Pereira and Keane, this is where we should give them a chance.

We are a terrible side. Hopefully we can upset the odds and get a result vs Shrewsbury.

    McNair--Smalling--Blind--CBJ
    Carrick--Schneiderlin
    Pereira--Mata--Memphis
    Marial

We might aswell give Pereira a game.

I can't see us pulling off the upset here after we tried so desperately to beat Midget Land in the Europa League. Can't ask for two top notch performances in a row. 4-2 Shrews
