    I'm thinking there's three tiers:

    I: Man Utd and Arsenal
    II: Ajax, Villareal and Roma
    III: Granada, Zagreb and Slavia

Do we want a draw from Tier III? I suppose there's a risk, in this gruelling schedule, that if you draw a seemingly easy opponent you might go into it not fully switched on.

Innit, even little bits where the ball is loose and he can win it hes messing up.
Every time he gets it he just punts it forward. I think oles instructions have clouded his judgement, instead of doing it naturally he’s forcing it.

add to the fact he can barely stand up when pressed by their midfield, not looking good.
I know its part of the deal for a player with the ability to pick out a pass like the one to Amad last week, but I get so incredibly frustrated with him giving it away all the damn time
Thank feck he turned it around in the second half. Maybe he is just tired of carrying the club... once Pogba came on and showed something he woke up and started pinging the passes again.

Indeed! Who knew that having more quality in the team would lift him? :D

It's a mysterious concept the club should look into for sure.
I’d like to see us play one game where we have Pogba, Bruno, Mata, VDB on the pitch (Mata on the right and VDB in the middle).
Just to see how these players who are good at moving the ball quickly click on the pitch. Might fail completely but it might not.

Ole would never have the balls for that. Proof is in the pudding, most games we go with two in front of the defence to protect them.

Would be nice to see but I think he's too anxious to do it!

IIRC we had them all on away to Newcastle and it lead to a splendid Bruno goal.

Not from the start though, looking at the lineup for that match we still have Fred and McTominay protecting the back line. We did the same at Old Trafford except it was Matic this time instead of McTominay. I hope we shore up our defence and start to play just one in front of the defence instead of two, we can then be much more creative.

If we want to do that the problem is not defence, it is that we don't have a specialist DM (besides Matic, who hasn't got the legs for it any more really). Fred and McT are CMs, not DMs, and neither of them can cover the defence on his own.

Yes I know, I’m not disagreeing with what you said, just stating we have seen it before albeit briefly.

You might be right, whether it be a new DM or one or two CBs it will make us better for sure.

Or to put it another way, he's too competent to do it. :)

Agree it would be fun to see though, and of course you never know.

Heh, good point, I'd forgotten about that. But only for about 15 minutes, and it was Newcastle after all. Mind you, we scored three times in those 15 minutes (or two at least, Mata went off before the last one). Maybe it's not such an outlandish idea after all.
