I don't expect Pogba to be good tonight with Lukaku and Sanchez in front of him.

    I hope I'm wrong...

Arsenal defence is fecking shite, worse than ours.
Their full backs will get little protection from the wingers too, so are there to be hot at. Need a lot of movement up front and can take advantage.

This new system of revealing the team sheet by some app means I can't see it but I'm gathering Sanchez and Lukaku are starting, huge mistake IMO, can't press with Lukaku and Sanchez wont hurt their RB issues like Martial would have.
It is what it is. Let's face it, as much as we all would love a trophy I think OGS has come in a prioritised getting as high up in the PL as possible. He will rest and save our best players for that no doubt.

feck. We're playing with two of the highest scoring forwards of the last 5 years upfront and that lump who's only got the best minutes to goals ratio in the squad. If C3PO were here now, you know what he'd be saying.

Sanchez is better at pressing than Martial. No reason why we cannot press them. Herrera and Pogba are also still in the team.
Sanchez isn't what he was in this regard, and Martial pressess fine as you mentioned yourself in the game at the Emirates last season, he also protects the ball much better than Sanchez and has been in good form this season. Like I said, they have started their best two strikers to win the game, we have cut corners with two massive under performers that are out of shape and out of form, I just don't see why we are risking it, we could have started them at Old Trafford against Burnley who are a shower of shite.

If Sanchez starts dropping deep as usual I agree. Which is why he should be in middle or right.

Ole said no one is scoring more goals than Lukaku in training. He said that Alexis is hungry. Apart from Rashford and Martial that's as strong as we can get at the moment.

I can't help but feel we've missed a trick breaking up the Shaw, Pogba, Martial trimuvate just as Bellerin got injured weakening their right hand side. Niles and lichsteiner don't compare.
I'd have thought we'd put the strongest lineup that's been doing well out tonight, then piss about v Burnley on Tuesday.

But this is why Ole is manager hopefully, and I think Jose has got us forgetting that Lukaku and Sanchez were top in league goalscorers not so long ago

Decent line-up that. Should be interesting to see how Alexis and Rom fare.

They are two good players and have shown promise in training. If things go bad then Rashford and Martial are still on the bench. People complain that we look tired at the end of games but want Rashford to sprint 90 mins and play every game.

Romero deserves the start. It's a privilege to have Romero as a deputy and if he don't play him in the cup he'll go.

Also this is easily the biggest game of Sanchez's United career. He NEEDS to show up tonight.

Massive game for Sanchez and Lukaku.

    They need a good performance.

I just don't think Sanchez can play out wide anymore. He has to be central or bust. Hopefully he performs well.

It's going to be a tough game for Lingard, he'll have to do all the running up front.

The starting line up screams why are we so desperated to get new midfielders, OGS clearly doesn't trust any one outside Pogba, Herrera and Matic for the midfield. This was an occasion to use Fred and or Pereira, but if he doesn't trust them for this game I think we should part ways with them.

We keep giving to much time for players to settle, the reality is you are either good enough or you're not, is simple as that.

This’ll be the game to put the nail in their coffins. Lukaku and Sanchez, that is.
Are you actively rooting for them and thereby us to fail then? Maybe I misunderstood your post, but it sure is coming across that way.

I didn't realize you were attending the training sessions, as they certainly haven't shown anything on the pitch when given the chance this season. I already said I'd have done this switcheroo on Tuesday, I recognize this squad isn't fit enough to play Ole's style week in and week out right now, I just wouldn't have done it away to Arsenal who are coming off the back of a huge win and performance, I'd have done it at home against dog shit relegation fodder.

This is my thought as well. Having Rashford and Martial on the bench gives us the opportunity to up the tempo after 60 mins rather hold on for dear life with the team gassed.

We've already changed other players in attack. Changing the attackers and the midfield together is likely to knock our attacking play off track. We rested Martial and Rashford, instead of Pogba and Ander

I am going off what Ole said about the two players in training.

    Losing to Comeback Winning!
Wow, rotation it is, except for the midfield.

Prefer if we start rotating next game, but alas.

Hmm... worrying, but the midfield is still the same, no excuse for Sanchez and Lukaku to play shit because of weaker midfield. Lingard to offer the leg up front. Bailly is a risk, but same as Jones anyway.

Not really too unreasonable.. still a lot weaker.
Midfield is balance. Lingard makes it more balance in ATK than if Mata pairing up with Luk-Alexis.

    Let's see how this goes.

What are you talking about? They were very good vs Chelsea on Saturday and they have only lost one game at home this season, on top of that Lukaku has been garbage and looks unfit, and Sanchez has been either crap or injured, our two best forwards are on the bench for a huge game, of course fans are a bit disappointed.

Yes, Im not saying we should change all our squad but at least give some rest to one of the midfielders. He clearly doesn't trust Fred since he has opted to use Mata as change even out of position instead of Fred, and Pereira isn't even in the squad today so that says it all.

Theyre still ahsad of us in the table dont forget. Arsenal are very strong at home and have gone with their best team. We've changed 3 key players . It was better to rotate in midweek

Not necessarily, I just don’t think either of them are good enough if we want to compete at the highest level again, and both are too expensive in wages and/or transfer fees to ride the bench.

Its the FA cup not the UCL, we should be rotating players, and we should expect our recent 50 million midfielder to play in games like this, if he was good enough which he clearly isn't.
