Put Darmian behind Ronaldo and watch him suffer. Their defense isn't even bothered to focus on Martial being a danger to them with Darmian being his supplier.

Emnes has just dropped into CM and had the run of the game. The midfield has been crap. Haven't screened the back four properly at all. The CB's are in panic mode when the ball comes near them.

So many of you are complete oblivious about Lingard on the damn goal! You say you don't know what he does and there he does something that's so key to the goal.

Lingard supports Rashford up from immediately after Romero cradles the ball looking to release someone. Lingard runs straight to the left channel, who dragged his defender with him and opened the huge passing lane for Mkhitaryan. Lingard's defender is the man who kept Rashford onside.

There's a middle ground between being skinny and overweight though, they aren't mutually exclusive, it isn't good to be either especially when you're so weak you have very little impact on their defence.

Harsh imho. They were good enough to win the FA Cup and secure at least a 5th place finish at the Premier League. Mind you, that a handful of our players are vastly inexperienced (Lingard, Rashford and other youngsters) and some are playing almost week in week out, others have hardly featured this season (Young, Schweinsteiger). I'm talking in general and not specifically about this match

United haven’t been at their best but it’s still been enough to create a few good chances. Mourinho will be annoyed at some of his defender’s positioning and some slack passing.

But he will know that he has enough on the bench to finish this today. He would prefer if his starting XI do the job - but that will need Lingard and Martial to offer more on the flanks.

Mkhitaryan has looked good and Rashford took his goal well. Young has done well down the right, too but Darmian hasn’t offered much on the other side.

This sums us up in a way. If we have a good RB, nothing comes from the LB. If we have a good wide left forward, then nothing comes from the right side and vice versa.

Lingard is excellent in his movement and ability to pull defenders out of position.

It is such an underrated ability of his.

We'll win this providing some of the players get their heads out their ass. Lingard, Carrick and Herrera have been particularly poor. I'd bring Mata on for Lingard in the second half. He's just not good enough when he's playing like this.

Rojo and Smalling look very iffy and nervous whenever the ball is in and around the box - very poor defending all round for the Blackburn goal. I didn't even realise Darmian was playing, and Martial and Rashford have been pretty average besides a few good runs and for that goal. The only two that look up for it are Mkhitaryan and Young.

I'm pretty we'll win this in the second half but the worst result will be a replay. The last thing we need is more games.

True, every time Martial plays well, it's with Blind in left back, it's so infuriating watching Darmian play, he is bad with the ball, suspect defensively, even CBJ would be better

Apart from the first 20 mins, I think we controlled the game well and had opportunities to score another goal. Lingard is obviously not a first team player. Shame we didn't give a chance to more youngsters in this game. Would've liked to see Shaw and Fosu-Mensah starting today.

Hopefully we up the tempo a little bit in the second half and score another.
