With Ole gone now and the wind of a win behind our wounded animal back, we just might be able to do in the chavs.

But we need a massive performance from Bruno, who has yet to show up for duty this season. Swapping in Bailly for Maguire doesn’t bother me in the least. In fact, I’d love to see Maguire have to fight to get place back in the starting XI, but that’s a discussion for another thread.

Nothing to be expected from tomorrow’s game.
Also we won’t start playing good football the next game as Rangnick will need quite a bit of time to put his stamp on our team. Similar to Conte and Spurs.

Very predictable lineup. For years it seems we pretty much always gone with what’s worked in the previous game and Bruno and Rashford changed the game so they’ll fall into that trap as always.

Really think this would be a game for the 3-5-2 and matching up with them. Put Shaw as the 3rd CB where he can help with Reece James give Telles license to bomb on. We’ll not do it though.

Chelsea could destroy us with their wing backs and Rashford and Sancho are gonna have to work back with them or our midfield will be pulled apart. Can see this being a long day. They’ll outwork us all over the pitch.

3-0 Chelsea. Can’t get Ralf in quickly enough.

Conflicted if I want Bruno to start or not.
In the last game I actually like how compact we were but unfortunately very short of ideas. While his impact as a sub was devastating.

I think he can start if he is instructed to play as an 8.

Maguire is banned and I've no idea how any sane person would name him in their team at this point anyway. Other than that, I like that team and thinks it's the best option for having any hope of a result against Chelsea.

Turns out all 5 matches including the Chelsea v United game is only aired on the NBC Peacock Premium channel. Fkc NBC and paying an extra $15 a month on top of my already $300 cable bill

Greedy pricks at NBC can f-off

So, it's zero matches on NBCSN tomorrow and only one match between Wed - Thu
All the rest on the pay extra NBC channel.

Oh well, time to start watching the other Euro leagues as I already have ESPN+ w/ Disney

I wouldn't say so, Chelsea were in a bigger hole last season and got 4th + won the CL.

I think the performance is important tomorrow to set a tone that is different than that under Ole. Then RR can come in and try and impose his style.

This Utd team is a top 4 team on paper and the PL is too competitive for too many teams to win a lot on the trot.

For sure, I think top 3 is gone if Utd lose (maybe it already is), but 4th is still possible.

Not seeing a battering, Chilwell is important for their attacking play as a LWB who turns up on the back post but can also get back. Kante's also missing which is a big plus for Utd as he prevents a lot of balls through the middle that would start a counter.

See a 1-1 or a 2-1 Utd.

They score lot of goals from setpieces and we are probably the worst team at defending set pieces (well defensively we are up there with the worst). To make it worse, 2 CBs who can head the ball are out and 2 CBs we will play are not that good at winning headers.

I don't have any hopes from this game.
