Weghorst has settled in really well. some great link up play, good runs and counter pressing like a mad man. he’s won so many balls already.

    great signing I think
Absolutely. Looks like exactly what ETH wants from his striker

Bruno and Eriksen have both been immense. Especially Eriksen, so poised, exactly what we have been missing in tough away games in the previous seasons. Varane and AWB have been solid defensively, Shaw not bad as well.

Antony on the other hand is missing directness. AWB is better carrying the ball for feck sake, we cannot expect so little from our wingers.

He called him a "Filho da Puta" since you know, they're from Portugal and Brazil respectfully, neither of which are Spanish speaking countries

It's the same thing anyways. Both languages are similar. Don't know what's your point.

I don't like Bruno's attitude at all. I think United won't get much success as long as he is the captain, and besides that, I don't like his game. He has quality, but most of the time I don't like the decisions he takes. And I'm saying this even if he's scored.

But then again, his attitude of talking to teamnates while making gestures with the arms/hands is just stupid. If he was playing during Keane era, he would've got tought a lesson at the dressing room. You just don't do that. Not to mention if you're the captain.

Bissaka was surprisingly solid. Never been a fan of him, but he plays good football now

What? He’s been well on it I thought. His work rate and edge has been right on it. Been driving at the defence too. Looked good tonight.
He’s lost the ball every time he’s had it. He’s looked up for a scrap but hasn’t done much with the ball.

Enjoyable first half. Thankfully Ten Hag decided to pick his strongest team, because Palace really are hard to break down.

Weghorst I think links up really well with the others. He holds up the ball quite well. Unlucky with the header.

Rashford looks wasteful, but it's Rashford: he can score goals out of nowhere, so keep him on.
    Wan Bissaka looks fantastic. Brilliant.
    Antony and Shaw look lively.

We are looked dangerous but for better final balls, could've been up couple of goals. Need to conc at the back and not give them cheap free kicks near pen box but great time to score and hopefully take the game to them sec half.

Can't believe someone called Eriksen a pointless signing in his performance thread... He's feckin' great

The thing I'm really liking the most at the moment is how good the team looks in possession nowadays. We no longer seem to shit the bed once we have the ball. A lot of great and quick passing between players even in tight spaces.

We're starting to look like an actually coached team.
100% agree. This Palace team is low on confidence, but on the other hand, we are away from home and I have seen us hardly as confident and in control of the ball, basically everyone including AWB seems to know how to keep the ball. My only objection would be if we could capitalize on the possession, and play it a bit faster at times.

The only player visibly off is Rashford today, if he can't kick on we need Garnacho in 60th minute. Good to have some exciting options on the bench, think both Pelistri and Garnacho could be great later in the game..

he’s played well every game so far since back from his injury, this is like his first season form.

Clearly the better coaching is working for him.

Honestly amazed at the depth of Portuguese lip reading talent here tonight.
We really are the most intelligent fans in world football
Imagine being in utter disbelief that one of the largest United forums would have some people who know what the most common insult in another language is.

I'm neither Spanish or Portuguese and even I know that filho da puta means son of a bitch in that language, not least because that's what Mourinho is said to have called the female club doctor when she ran on to the pitch (or, rather, filha da puta since she's female).

Even when we don't play brilliant we are still in control of games. That is a big difference compared to last season and I think a lot can be attributed to the number of leaders we have on the field.

Last season felt like we had almost no leaders but now with De Gea, Shaw, Martinez, Varane, Casemiro and Bruno in particular you feel there is a big shift on that front

Horrible defending from Palace but we will take it
Some credit must also go to the fact, that we have kept up the tempo and intensity throughout the half. No wonder their concentration would take a dip at some point, and we were cynical enough to take advantage of it.

This goal looked to easy to believe. The passing options were almost too obvious and yet Palace had no answer to it. But I think a lot of it comes down to the way we have kept on attacking and kept them busy.

I bet we will get used to seeing more of these seemingly easy goals, where we manage to calmly play through a tired defence.

Basically De Gea save and Bruno's goal were 2 worthy moments of the half. We've had most of the ball but not really turned it into chances. Was convinced that shot by Palace player was going in but again great save by De Gea.

Expect to see McTominay or Fred, Pellistri and Garnacho on at some point.

Antony has not been great again, he's like early Sancho for me right now, everyone else has been great, including Weghorst, some good link up play.

What's happened to AWB, genuinely don't have a mild heart attack when he's on the ball now.
I only got in for the last 10 but enjoyed that extended carry up the outside of his full back that resulted in a corner. More of that please.

Without a number 9 that goal may not of happened. Weghorst movement took away the defenders. I don’t think martial makes that run to the near post.

Comfortable half. Apart from the one good shot they've done nothing. Good performances from the defense, AWB in particular. Good movement across the front four, especially for the goal. The only complaints I have is that Rashford looks less than 100%, Antony only took his man on once and Eriksen simply gets overrun in transitions. But have to give him credit, he did magnificently against Zaha on that one break and is still great in possession. This should play into in our hands now with the lead. The only way Palace come back into this is if we feck it up ourselves.

Happy to go in with the lead although could have been drawing after that wonderful, crucial save by DDG to deny Edouard.

Eriksen best player on the park for me. Been terrific. AWB also having a very good game.

Weghorst I like the look of but understandably looks a yard or two off the pace from the rest of his teammates. Give him time to get adjusted to our style of play and his role and I’m sure he will prove to be a good addition.

Rashford’s been very quiet. Not sure if he’s feeling tired or if his hip that he hurt at the weekend against City is giving him a little bother.
Or it just isnt his day? Rashford is a very good player but he can still have a off day without injury or being tired.

Very solid first half. There’s always going to be a breaking in period for a new striker unless his first name is Erling.

The way wan bissaka has been playing lately I’m inclining to think he might be our most improved player under ten hag.

 I also need ETH to coach me at my job, I'd be world class and really increase my earning potential.
I want the same job training too.

It's literally the only thing portuguese speaking players are saying all the time, you don't need to be smart to understand it.

Yeah, I think Martial is probably stood on Bruno's toes also waiting for a cutback and the defence covers both of them.
