Perfect preparation for PSG that. Made changes but wrapped the game up and were able to take Pogba and Martial off to rest up. Jones and Smalling didn't give Mitrovic a sniff and the French duo looked like doing something every time they went forward.

Fulham were the perfect team to play really. They're bloody shite. You expect teams down there to be fighting for their lives but they're just powder puff.

    Bring on Tuesday.

Target man? Well I suppose it’s not a moving target so makes it a bit easier . But come on he was anonymous today.

Fulham were pretty awful after the first ten minutes. If I was a fan of Fulham I’d be bitterly disappointed with the lack of effort, but I’m not complaining.
On paper before the match with the team put out I was a bit worried about this game, but Utd really played well, great opening goals by Pogba and Martial, great skill running with the ball, not just relying on his speed and a super finish.
Can’t wait for the Paris match now.
I do think he seemed anonymous due to tactical approach by OGS, i.e he dropped back, he was on the right etc, but anyway.

Fulham started well but faded away after the first goal. I don't know if we can match PSG but I remain hopeful of a good result. I don't know what to expect in France though...

    When

Yep, it's looking a disaster as of half time :wenger:
Eh, brilliance from Pogba and Martial pulled us through the half, I wasn't wrong about how poor Mata and Lukaku were again, especially the latter, it was a risk and we got away with it, partly as well because the atmosphere at Fulham seems pretty toxic.

No risk today, as Fulham are tumescent.
And if you can't risk starting Lukaku or Mata v Fulham, there literally is no other start for them in the last 15-20 games.

Well rather than drag this on mate I'm pleased with the 3 points and that is the main thing here, but I do think it was a risk but maybe not as big of a one as I thought, however Lukaku and Mata cannot be relied on and I think that is evident and as it goes on there'll be more occassions where we'll need to rotate and their liability as back-ups will be an issue IMO.

I didn’t think Mata was too bad. Lukaku is terrible at the minute.

Great 3 points. Pobga got a 15/20 minute rest and a confidence boost. Tony with a goal.

Thought Sanchez looked hungry when he came on and made a couple of good interceptions.

    Good start to the weekend.

Yes, I wouldn't want to play the two too often. Probably Southampton at home before the PSG return would work, but we'll see. Loving the good run.

Not to drag this too far off course but yes the Southampton game might be an option but they have had a bit of a revival under the former RB Leipzig coach, personally I'd rather just one of them and put Sanchez up top instead, but I think Lukaku in particular would be better suited when he starts if we used the diamond, as anything decent he does comes when he's in the right channel.

Good to see Lukaku stepping into Fellaini’s boots. My he is poor at times and today was a prime example.
I hate to say it but his good games are just a flash in the pan, and it obviously takes the opposing teams completely by surprise as it does us supporters.
Is it me or does anyone else think that he looks more like the late heavyweight boxer Joe Frazier? Comparisons are there to be drawn, over weight, lumbers forward, gets picked off quite easily by a decent defence.

I’m not having that.Joe Frazier was a truly great champion who would rather die than than throw in the towel.
    Lukaku on the other hand......

    He was indeed.;)
There is another reason I don’t like him, Lukaku that is. Every time I type his name the auto correct buts in and corrects it to LUSAKA.
Perhaps we could offer him to Lusaka Rovers?
