Martial doesn't deserve to start, but I think he should. He and Rashford can interchange and both have enough pace to keep city honest at the back. There's clearly going to be times when we'll need a long ball outlet.

If Fred or Eriksen aren't performing, they need to come off quickly. We will have Sancho, Garnacho and possibly Antony as actual good options to free Bruno from the right.

If we do manage to get ahead, we also have good options in Maguire and Weghorst to help us defend in numbers, but we mustn't get pushed back too early.

It's clearly going to be a very difficult game. But the longer it goes on, the more nervous city will get. And, the more physical we can make it, the more they will worry about missing the CL final. We have a chance.

I'm more confident about this game then I usually am. They look unstoppable but maybe they take their eyes off the prize due to the CL final. Wishful thinking but stranger things have happened.

I came into put in the exact same 11 and formation. That front 2 will cause a lot of problems, don't need to defend much. Get them on the counter attack, they struggled with these 2 earlier in the season. The position suits Bruno too. Fred to have a worldie performance hopefully.
I agree with you guys too.

I’ve been itching to see Rashford and Garnacho go at it together. Specially against city when they play 3 CBs and no FBs mostly.
Even if Walker plays he’ll have a tough time keeping an eye on both Rashy & Nacho.

5 at the back also helps with city’s current formation of 4 AMs and the striker. Shaw is needed more for defensive reasons than offensive ones for this game. He’s usually quite solid when he plays as a CB. Malacia is also a work horse so he’ll help with running around all game.

I don’t think Sancho or Martial will help much with defending and tracking back which is what we’ll mostly be doing all game.

It’s a counter game and what better than Rashford & Nacho.

Folks may argue and say save Garnacho for the second half but I disagree. We can’t let them take a lead. Specially if they go 2 up which is definitely possible (seeing how they played against Madrid). It’ll kinda be too late to bring him on.

I’m hoping ETH gave Garnacho the start against Fulham to help him settle in to the role for the city game. I have a feeling he’s the surprise that city won’t be prepared for.

City transition to wide spaces very well by drawing their opponents in, and as long as we have an extra body to cut those wide passes I think we should have a decent chance

    Must win.

    Park the aeroplane and counter.

Second, don't start with Bruno if we have to absorb the onslaught. He is a liability around our box when pressed. Bring him on much later.

Well we are clearly the underdogs. We can still hurt them with pace and id love to see Garnacho Rashford and Sancho start up top. I suspect Martial will start over Garnacho and just hope we are not to far behind when we call on the youngster to come on.

Fred has to start over Erikson who i feel would be chasing shadows. we need Fred to have one of his good days And not his more common bad ones.

If everyone hits 7 or 8 out of 10 we have a chance , 5-6-7 wont cut it playing City.

United to win by one. Cas with the header from a Bruno free kick.

It's just one game. Be willing to suffer and just stay in the game. We can do this.

An old friend of mine summed it up - he's dreading it so much he will barely to able to watch... but has a ticket!

Can't see us winning this - Halaand hasn't scored a hat trick for at leat two weeks so bound to get at least one goal!

We have decent momentum and the pressure will be on City in their hunt for the treble.

Hopefully we keep compact, fight for everything and be clinical on the counter. I'd play Bissaka right and Dalot left and think about playing Shaw at CB again for his pace alongside Varane if available.

Question is who do we start out of Fred and Eriksen? If World class Fred turns up it makes all the difference. Is it worth the gamble I'd say yes.

Up top I'd stick with Sancho, Martial, Rashford and leave Garncho has a impact sub.

We need to survive and keep shape for the first 20 minutes if we are sharp we could get an early lead on the break.

This is one of those games where playing Fred and AWB is better than Eriksen and Dalot. We need to work harder than them and be more aggressive. It's the only way against teams with better technical players that play within a well defined system.

We are the underdog so let's play like one. We've won several times playing that way under Ole so...

If you truly believe we can/will win 2-0, why don't you place a bet on that result?
You'll get ridiculously good odds on that scoreline.
It's about 30/1. Hardly shock of the century is it.

I think the midfield area with Grealish, Silva and Stones stepping at various times to assist their already dominant trio is where City have been most dangerous as of late. Eriksen has been getting bypassed in almost every game since his return, so even if he does play - I don't think it should be in a two next to Cas.

In terms of the forwards, I think both Martial and Rashford have to be on the pitch. Both make better decisions on the counter than Garnacho, even if Garnacho has been quite impactful this season. Bruno on the right picking up pockets of space and looking for Rashford might not be a bad idea either.

You can bet Pep's got some counter strategy to the Fred shadowing of KDB, that played such a big part in the OT 2-1 win. We need a second plan. I would go with a 5-3-2 start, 3 CB's two wide nippy defenders AWB/Malacia who can put pressure on City's wide two at the back, and can join Cas, Bruno and Fred in the middle when needed with Rashford and Garnacho upfront two fast raiders on to anything over the top. (If he's fit start with Antony, then bring on Garnacho)

City have played some fabulous football this season culminating in their home display against Real, but since Arsenal capitulated on the PL, then they have been playing 'no value' matches with various rested players. Conversely, we've been battling right up to Sunday, yes, we may be a bit tired, but our battle readiness is a great as it could be, we are still pushing forward with the momentum created by competing for 3rd place.
It might be just enough to gives us an edge, what we cannot do is squander chances, that way lies disaster.
We have to score one more than City, that's all!!!

I've lost my mojo for this final, I wish it was the final leg of City's potential treble to heighten the stakes. It feels like a comfortable 3-1 City victory.

It’s hard to imagine any other outcome than a comfortable victory for City. Just hoping we won’t get outclassed as that would be the prevailing feeling going into the next season. Feels odd to NOT looking forward to a cup final…

We already beat them once, and we technically won the 2nd half at the Etihad. That's a 75% win rate in my book, so for that reason, I'm confident for a victory.

Tend to agree with G.Nev about Wembley being a dogshit pitch to play on...hopefully its a hot day and City have an off day.

Rashford up top, I don't think Martial or Wout offer enough to be starting this one.

    No way Garnacho is starting.
I agree - it will likely be Rashford/Martial/Sancho. But I don't think that gives City nearly as much to worry about. Martial is low energy and needs chances created for him. Garnacho is a creator. It's a tough task for anyone in world football coming up against Walker at RB, but Garnacho wont stop running at him.

Park the bus, defend deep and hope Rashford can make miracles.

If we concede in the first 20 minutes it's over for us.

If City were to lose one of the finals. Would you rather win FA CUP and finish with 2 cups this season or they still not winning the Champions League ?

The first 5-10 mins will show us what kind of United turn up. If the players play like a half drunken sailor then we are in for a long squeezy bum time. And at that point its better to tamper your expectations else your blood pressure will rise up and its not worth it.
