Had Schweinsteiger instead of Schneiderlin but got it spot on apart form that.

On an unrelated note I'd forgotten the lineup game rules and thought that the substitute option was valid for people who were named on the bench.

Been selecting Romero every week thinking "Easy points here Greggy, I bet everyone does this". Fool.

That City attack against our defense makes me nervous while their defense's look gives me hope.

Wonder if it'll be a 4231, with Carrick and Schneiderlin holdinig, or whether we'll go with a 4141/433, with Carrick holding, with Schneiderlin and Lingard/Mata slightly above?

Either way, I think we'll look a lot more solid with Schneiderlin in the side.

Valencia has just returned after most of the season out, there's no way he's ready to perform for 90 minutes yet.

Need our forwards to be on their game today, that back four of City can definitely be got at with Kompany out.

I'm with you. Last game I watched was the Watford game. Quite happy with my boycott. For the first time in a long time I'm at a loose end this morning, and would actually have to manufacture something else to do. Normally I have the excuse of work.
I can just imagine the sky execs now

I can't be confident with Carrick surviving in the midfield. Along with Mata who is regularly none existent. Rojo doesn't offer enough going forward usually either. Same goes for Darmian.

Weirdly confident for this. Or maybe I just don't have the usual big-game fear because I don't care anymore...

Martial to have a great game. 2-1 to United.

I personally would have started Adnan ahead of one of Lingard or Mata, especially mata.

Rashford is overrated based on a purple patch. He's not ready to perform at this level yet. Memphis has at least proven he can score goals on his day.
Memphis has proven feck all up front though. Rashford is clearly a better striker, making better runs and creating more space. He's just a bit young and weak, and should probably get a rest pretty soon... but not today.

Also, not sure what you're on about regarding goals... Rashford and Memphis have the same amount of goals in the league with the latter having 19 more apps.

The least I've looked forward to a match probably since the Everton game that led to Moyesy's end.

We can definitely get a goal against that City defense.

Unfortunately they can definitely get 3 against us.

    3-1 City.

    Oh god the Carrick-Schneiderlin combo
My thoughts exactly. Isn't this our worst MF pairing as far as results go?

I had 9/11. Thought we'd see Valencia at RB and Darmian at LB with Basti/Carrick MF.

That probably goes to Fellaini and carrick Or fellaini and schneiderlin.... fellaini alone has a terrible record this season in games he has started in

    How exactly?
I don't any United fan views him as a saviour. He is young and has come in to job and has impressed while it it. I don't see how he has been overrated.

Here it is then, the moment we've all been waiting for: Who's flying to eastern Europe for a Champions League play off and who's spending the first half of next season in the Europa League facing a mix of teams that were good 20 years ago and teams who sound like IKEA products?

Not sure that's quite how Sky are marketing it though.

I am just so glad that Fellaini isn't starting. At least we have a 50% better chance of winning the game! Eureka moment for LVG.

How did you manage that?

It's harder to predict these days
lol dunno. Put Darmian in because Varela was replaced at HT and might be lacking confidence. Schneiderlin over Fellaini more in hope. Mata and Lingard both because Herrera is injured. Given I got 11 right probably after many months, just means luck was involved as well :D

Aside from Lingard and Carrick, that's an okay-ish side. Would really prefer to see Januzaj get a chance ahead of Lingard.
