Give the twats a cup final like they always do vs us. If we come out like we did against Liverpool we’ll be fine.
Big game at OT, we should win this

These lot are the definition of a bang average team needing bring back to earth. Are we the team to do that? Not sure. Show the intensity we did against Liverpool and we can definitely stuff them. Any slacking and we could get done.

Change the winning team. Casemiro and Ronaldo have to start. No more Rashford through the middle or Elanga. Shame Antony won't start
If Ronaldo starts we lose this game. We need legs against arsenal. We need to score early and hold onto the lead just like the last 3 games. Ten Hag really understands the game that’s why he’s been so successful.

Martial won't be fit for this. I'd give Ronaldo the start. Antony on the bench.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    McTominay Casemiro
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Ronaldo
Fred, Eriksen, Antony options from the bench.
This is the lineup I would choose.

Wonder what Garnacho is up to in training to not see any minutes? Even when Rashford could barely run against Leicester.... ETH kept him on. Keep the same team, with Casemiro at the expense of ? Eriksen is a lot better with the ball than Bruno (or more reliable at least), but you know Bruno is starting. Maybe play Bruno as a false 9 if Martial isn't back.

We should start backing ourselves to win against anyone at OT.

Would start Casemiero with Mctominay to improve ball retention in midfield and hopefully eriksen is not tired and can start as the most advanced midfielder.

Ronaldo could start at CF, flanked by rashford and Sancho

Looking at ETH's squad utilization, it will be the same team with Anthony, Casemiro, Fred and Ronaldo probably coming on as subs. This is to ensure the subs' match fitness is up to track.

Bruno and Eriksen are seen as the key midfielders in terms of transiting defence to attacks, so they are unlikely to be changed for now.

Strangely confident we're going to smash them. I think just because it's the perfect moment for us to bring them back down to Earth a bit. Don't like the fact that we've had a day less break though.

Antony and sancho on the wings and elanga upfront.

Although i suspect martial will play in place of elanga.

Ronaldo for Sancho, Antony for Elanga. I’d like to see Casemiro too, but McT and Eriksen have been great.
Sancho out? What madness is this when he’s arguably been our best attacker. 2 in 3 and looking a real threat showing great composure in front of goal.

surely you mean Ronaldo for Rashford…right?

    the rest I agree with

Only reason Ronaldo looked decent in recent games is because he's coming in fresh against tired legs, start him and we lose.

Rashford may well be shite atm but his pace on the counter scares defenders.

If need be drop Rashford and play Antony, Elanga and Sancho.

    Dalot - Martinez - Varane - Malacia
    Casemiro - Fred/McT
    Sancho - Bruno - Rashford
    Ronaldo
Casemiro for Eriksen is a certainty imo, and I would bring in Ronaldo for Elanga too with Rashford and Sancho shuffling positions.

McTominay has been very good especially defensively but possibly bring in Fred for fresher legs.

Leaves team for Europa something like: Dubravka, Shaw, AWB, Maguire, Lindelof, Fred/McT, Eriksen/Iqbal, VDB, Elanga, Antony, Martial/Garnacho - which should be enough to navigate the group stage. Obviously Antony will presumably become first choice RW before long but good to ease him in this way.

If martial is fit id start him, and bizarrely keep rashford in team as I think he can be useful in a very small amount of games like this. Obviously if Antony is available then rashford is a sub.
Maybe Sancho as a sub, he needs to be put on a special fitness program. Unless he's been ill again, can't understand how he was out of it 40 mins in against Leicester

I think we need pace in that game for counter attacks, and with Ronaldo on the pitch, our attack would be too slow with Sancho on the left. That’s why I think that Rashford and Antony pace compensate Ronaldo.

Arsenal Football Club (also known as The Gunners), are a professional football club based in Holloway, London. In late 1886, a gaggle of workers from the Woolwich Arsenal Armament Factory decided to form a football team. They called themselves Dial Square as a reference to the sundial atop the entrance to the factory. On December 11, 1886, Dial Square romped to a 6-0 victory over Eastern Wanderers; the first game in their initial guise. Shortly afterwards the name ‘Royal Arsenal’ was adopted. Today, Arsenal are one of the most successful and popular clubs in the history of the English league, with a trophy haul than includes 13 League titles, 12 FA Cups, and 2 League Cups.

When Henry Norris decided that Arsenal needed a new manager in the summer of 1925, he could never have anticipated the impact of his next appointment. After flirting with relegation in the previous season, Chapman set about reinventing the Club with almost immediate effect, and in a broader sense helped move football from the amateur era into a professional one. In his first season at Highbury, the new manager steered the Gunners to an FA Cup Quarter Final and a second-place finish in the First Division; the highest league placing in their history. And unlike many of his contemporaries in Britain, Chapman was a fan of the continental game and counted among his friends Hugo Meisl and Jimmy Hogan, coaches of the Austrian Wunderteam of the 1930s.

In the mid '90s, they appointed another visionary in Arsène Wenger with former vice-chairman David Dein bringing him to the club in 1996 - Dein actually wanted to appoint him a year earlier before Bruce Rioch but the old school board did not want a foreign manager - and the next 20 years have been a remarkable and unforgettable period in the club’s history - with Arsenal building a reputation for playing an attractive, streamlined style of football that rivals some of the best teams in Europe while winning three league titles and seven FA Cups and boasting the likes of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pirès, Cesc Fàbregas and Robin Van Persie in their ranks.

The club plays its home games at the Emirates Stadium, and has a bitter sporting rivalry with neighbors Tottenham Hotspur in a match termed the North London Derby, apart from a competitive rivalry against the other major clubs of the Premier League, especially Manchester United — in an affair that peaked in the late 1990s to early 2000s period.

Win this one and it’s been a good start to the season.

We need to match the intensity and atmosphere of the Liverpool game.

Absolutely crucial game. If we win this they will gain a lot of confidence and go into future fixtures with momentum. Confidence is everything in this sport.

I hope he starts Antony. Arsenal defence will struggle to handle him.

I haven't seen any of their games this season, can anyone sum up their strengths/weaknesses so far?

Hopefully the Arse have a few players out with Elneny, Partey definitely out and Ramsdale, Oodergard and Zinchenko with slight knocks. Would be nice to burst their early season bubble.

Martial won't be fit for this. I'd give Ronaldo the start. Antony on the bench.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    McTominay Casemiro
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Ronaldo
Fred, Eriksen, Antony options from the bench.
I like this side but I'd start Eriksen instead of Bruno. We'll need to hold onto the ball a bit better against this Arsenal side, plus bringing Antony and Bruno on together after an hour or so would be exciting.

No way ten Hag starts with the same team on Sunday. Please, no Elanga and Rashford. Praying that Antony starts.

    Fecking hate the Gooners!
They are well down the list below Liverpool, City, Leeds, Chelsea for me but I do love when we beat them! There’s something very smug about Arsenal fans, especially since Wenger.

Need to bring in Casemiro at least IMO.

We will have to play better than we did against Southampton & Leicester for sure, but it's more about making the most of our chances. When we were on top in the last two games, we really should have found that second goal. I think we'd get punished by Arsenal and drop points if we don't score 2 on Sunday (even though I still don't rate this Arsenal team all that much yet, maybe they'll prove me wrong this season).

This is ours. Let's party like it's 2005, starting with Martinez getting in their faces in the tunnel and Casemiro showing how a proper midfielder plays the game. Team nasty cnuts are back.

    Another 1-0 (Sancho).
