    On the move..
Rashford getting critisised a lot again i see.

Some guys in her definitely have an agenda against the guy. He played well and provided another excellent assist. (great decision making btw).
But now he gets discredited as "moments fc".

Good half though. Arsenal the better Team but United still comfortable at the back. And great on the counter.
Rashford owned a lot in that Antony goal.

ahh OK. but the passage/quote you provided doesn't say he asked for it. Just that "After the World Cup I thought that I couldn't play as a No.9. I started playing much more on the wing at City" are you the one inferring he asked for it from that? I think that would be a jump in reasoning.
Yeah, it's just the first quote that I found — he talked about it quite openly on multiple occasions.

Every time we are winning at half time the commentators wheel out that stat about us not losing from a HT winning position at half time for years. They’re absolutely desperate for it to happen and put the jinx on it.

To be honest I think that was a soft foul. Erikson was slow and complacent, he should of been stronger with his body to hold off Odegard. Nevertheless, I love it when Arsenal do not get the decisions so I will celebrate it and count it as a bit of luck we deserve after a year of complete hardship.

Get the midfield back. Need Casemiro there. If Eriksen is tired, sub him off. If not, then Bruno out. Target Saliba as he is on a yellow already.

He hasn’t played great man, playing great would be constantly holding up play, troubling the goalkeeper

his pass to Antony was good, he’s doing the best he can but sadly it’s not good enough, he doesn’t worry defenders at all

Entire half time discussion on how the goal shouldn't have been disallowed and not a peep when the dippers scored after extra time because the ref allowed them to.
Just take it as the compliment they are oblivious too. They know exactly where their bread is buttered.

I can't help but think that we need to play Casemiro and not McTominay even when the latter is playing extremely well (he's been one of, if not the, United's best players this half). He's great individually but his positioning still allows our opponents to take control of our midfield. Obviously subbing one of Eriksen or Bruno is also an option but Casemiro can't do what they do.

But it does sound harsh, McTominay has improved a great deal over the past few games.
Agreed but I would be tempted to replace Bruno instead of McTominay. I think that McTominay individual contribution has been more valuable today.

Martinez is an absolute fecking warrior king. Impossible not to love him.

Good half of football. We are heading in the right direction, regardless of whether or not we secure all three points today.

It's not even slightly controversial. Obvious foul.
It was the way Jimmy said it shouldn't be "brought back" to that incident anyway.

It was literally 15 seconds before the goal, and the absolute key part of it.

We need a Osimhen type of CF in January. Hold up play is what we lack. Rashford is doing better as CF as he did as LW for a long time. We also need an alternative RB defensive type. McT is doing surprisingly well since Brendtford. Bruno needs to stop going Hollywood all the time. Just keep it simple.

The mental gymnastics by Sky pundits to declare that wasn’t a foul on Eriksen really is special.
Yeah it's incredible what they're saying. I looked at that thought that was a clear foul. It wasn't even a particularly soft one, if a defender pulled that in the box you'd get a pen.

Nowhere close to a 50-50 decision.

The Arsenal keeper is really helping them progress play very smoothly which has caused us many problems. Ramsdale is like the conductor in a deeper role for Arsenal.

McTominay has been very good for us.

It was a foul on Eriksen. VAR gave the correct decision for the goal to be ruled out. VAR haven’t called too many correct calls this weekend but this one was the correct one.

I would say it was *just* a foul, and a bit debatable, so understandable I think.
Debatable? He got pushed, Odegaar extended both his hands and pushed him, how is that debatable. This wasn't a shoulder to shoulder or anything like that, he got pushed with hands.

Since when was pushing someone with your hands not an obvious and non objectionable foul?

Oh cool. First time hearing of it. I just assumed it was Pep overthinking stuff. I guess playing out wide added to his game. He's really good. Crazy City sold him to Arsenal

I think we got spooked by their offisde goal and decided to be cautions and dropped off a bit.

The opening 15 minutes football was slick. Hopefully with more wins, we get more confidence and will be willing to play on the front foot the entirety of the game like we're clearly capable of doing but chose to not do so as often as most would like because we're trying to be a bit safer.
Yeah, noticed that. The FBs especially have been very cautious in going forward after that.

My goodness we play Spurs after this? No bloody letting up for us.

Hope we get something out of this game.

He was slow with the ball but he also got pushed and kicked from behind and Odegaard got none of the ball, it's an open and shut clear cut foul.

Yes, he’s basically Pirlo and Xavi wrapped into one.

Very nervous for the second half. Arsenal look Sharp and confident. Extra days rest helps. We’ll certainly have to use some subs in the second half for the tired legs. I would potentially bring on Elanga (unpopular choice I know) for Sancho, to double up on Saka down the left. His greater work rate and physicality would be helpful.

they’re talking like you can run around the pitch pushing players over and not touch the ball  HE IS BEING PAID FOR THIS
I'm going mad seeing how this is even being debated. Odegaar pushed him with his hands extended.

I thought Bruno has been alright so far, couple of nice involvements including the goal.

Agree with what everyone is saying re the difference between Rashford and Jesus though. Latter is holding up everything excellently meaning Arsenal attacks are sustained rather than turning over like ours.
Yeah he does a couple of good things but overall kills our build-ups way too often, IMO

I just worry that if we stick with 1 DM for the whole game, Arsenal will eventually grab a goal.

Maybe that's paranoia talking, I dunno
You’re right, it’s a tight margin for us. We do need to punish them with a second goal. They will come out aggressive, the players need to not let them gain confidence, that’s what matters. A second goal does that.

Sky sports punditry is very poor. I dont usually watch sky sports but can't believe the level being ex players.

Btw Antony showing no 7 to the camera?
I think this is where football sometimes fails. Not every ex player should be allowed to be a pundit. They need to know more about the game. Maybe an ex coach, maybe journalists with more knowledge of the game ( where the punditry would give them exposure), but the amount of bias and lack of knowledge that goes into the punditry is terrible.

I would say Casemiro for Bruno tbh. And lter Erikson for Fred assuming we are still leading.
As frustrating as Bruno is, he can still do something dangerous, like picking out a crucial pass in the 80th minute or getting a tap in. He's frustrating, but I'd be really hesitant to bring him off.

Can see the argument with bringing him off, though. He is giving the ball away a lot.
