Same team as last week. Have a funny feeling we will draw this though.

    Ronaldo to score again.

    1-1 or 2-2.

So after getting fecked over by Atkinson and Moss, let me present the final form of the not so holy trinity:

    Ffs :mad::mad:

I’d love these old overweight fools to lose their jobs to refs we bring in from abroad, has to happen, they are a stain on this league.

New hungry (not as hungry as Moss) refs who are keen to up the levels of officials in this country is what’s needed. Not the same old group of idiots who have no competition for their place and who are answerable to nobody.

    De Gea
    AWB - Varane - Maguire - Shaw
    McTominay - Fred
    Greenwood - Bruno - Pogba
    Ronaldo

A must win obviously but I'd also like to see a good performance for a change.
Yea should be this I think. Hopefully see a good start for once and get Sancho off the bench for some minutes.

    * Yes I'm absolutely aware he has no chance, despite putting in a performance better than anything Fred has served up since last season.

    Dig up stupid!
Villa are a strange side to predict. Could just as easily see us losing 1-0 or winning 4-0

    Hopefully it's the latter!

The team pick it self, but I'll like to see Donny get a 20mins Appearance in the second half.

Please can we stop with the DVB love in, the guys done feck all since he's been at the club. Gods know how he was voted MOTM on here this week, he got caught in possession at least half a dozen times against West Ham's second string. There is a reason he doesn't play regular because he fecking not good enough!!

We don't need to play both Mctominay and Fred for this game. I would play Pogba in CM and have Sancho there. If Sancho isn't playing that well and we want to keep Pogba in LM and bring VDB there.

    Let's be honest,

if Villa decide to park the bus and hit us on the counter we will struggle a lot and it will be torture, if they are daft they will try and attack us and we will probably outscore them, this is the massive problem we have, teams will be watching our previous games and see how bad we are at breaking teams down, it's the perfect tactic for our opponents

Picks itself. Will be same team as last weekend.

    De Gea

    Wan-Bissaka Varane Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Fred
    Greenwood Fernandes Pogba
    Ronaldo
Agree. I can't think of any reason any of these players will be dropped. Thought McTominay and Fred were poo against West Ham but there's nobody else who demands a place ahead of them. Sancho didn't do enough to force himself back into the team either.

We usually do score though. The problem we have had is when we play teams who park the bus we give away a silly goal from a set-piece or something. The Europa League final was the perfect example.

Dalot needs match fitness going into the CL games, and we would benefit from his crosses. Villa will actually try to play, could be a good game for Sancho to find form. Lingard arguably deserves a start but I’d prefer Sancho.

    Please no Fred

So after getting fecked over by Atkinson and Moss, let me present the final form of the not so holy trinity:

Unlike Atkinson, Dean has actually given us questionable decisions in the past. It’s not always one way with him, he’s shit but he’s not biased.

Moss is fat & can’t keep up, Dean is shit, but the two refs I fear in terms of genuinely being bent against us are Atkinson & Oliver.

Atkinson in particular has over a decade worth of evidence. It’s too many times to be called a coincidence or just incompetence.

2-0 United. Villa don’t seem as strong as last season from the small sample of games I’ve seen and we will have a fully rested XI. It probably won’t be pretty but Ronaldo will score and then we’re due a Pogba worldy, followed by a Raiola tweet.

This is something we've not really experienced since RVP during Fergie's last season.

The knowledge that by simply playing a certain player, your team is essentially guaranteed a goal. You may as well start 1-0 up.

    Thank god for Tony Martial.

Should be a good test. I thought they played pretty well against Chelsea the other day in the league, even if they came up well short by the end. They arent as dangerous as they looked last season when they had Grealish but they still look decent in a mid-table sort of way. The good thing for us is that they've taken the approach of going at the bigger teams when they play them, so we might find they don't totally dig in and block out the box. We're at our best in that situation.

Overall I think it'll be close for a while but we'll be comfortable long before the final whistle. 2-0 United.

I dont have faith in our ability to keep a clean sheet, but should be a fairly open game so going for a 3-1 or 4-2 Utd.

we will get done in this one

they handled Everton easily, who hadn't been beaten this season, actually outplayed Chelsea, Chelsea just had a horseshoe up their arse and scored their only shots on target, had an easier time with Newcastle than we did, were unlucky and drew vs Brentford, who outplayed Wolves, who outplayed us.

only hope is for Ronaldo, Bruno, Greenwood and Pogba to all have blinders.

last 2 times against this lot we've needed a penalty to either start us or be the difference, seem like refs have bought into the media narrative from last season about us being gifted penalties so I don't see a penalty happening and we have the absolute worst ref that loves to make it his show in mike dean doing this one

We'll play well for 15-20 mins, we'll be on the ropes for 15-20 mins. Rotate - if we win it's because we turned up in the "important moments". If we don't it's because "certain things didn't go our way". This is going to be his post match press conference.

That's how Ole wants us to play, and that's all we can expect under him. Just have to hope we put them away during our period of dominance, whenever that happens within the 90.

I was wrong to think Matic could replace Fred for 90 minutes. I think he's at best a sub at 60-70 minute mark. I guess we'll have to keep the McFred going. Some people replacing Fred with VDB but isn't he more of a McT replacement? He seems to get very high up the pitch.

Yeah, he should be next to Fred really. I don't really see a partnership with McTominay working.

Honestly, I thought he was awful in a game where West Ham didn't press us and he should have had loads of space to influence the game. The game against Newcastle is the only decent game he's had for us so far imo and he still made mistakes in that game too, particularly in 2nd half.
You need to understand that Sancho is not a 28-year-old player in his absolute prime.
He is 21 yrs of age and will need about 2 years to begin to show World-class levels of performance.
I know it's a long time to wait, but that's what happens when you bring in a 21-year-old.

Bruno Fenandes on the other hand was in his mid-20s when he arrived, so already in his prime. So, his impact was immediate.
Older players like Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo, Cavani (and believe it or not Sanchez) are expected to make impact from game 1, due to their age, experience and their ability to adapt and handle pressure.

Is this on UK tv folks?
Not on sky, nor bt nor premier sports.

    Ridiculous really.
With City playing Chelsea at the same time it's understandable why the network would screen that
The Courteneers are playing at the cricket ground on Sat as well . It was deemed safer by the police to move the game instead.

Will have to watch it on a river
