We will be conservative so it will be low scoring. Emery will also note the Chelsea game when it was end to end and you actually looked pretty good for the first time in months so we don't want a basketball type match as the league cup match last season was also a bit like that.

Konsa will also move to RB to deal with Garnacho.

Think it will be 1-1. We haven't actually scored the first goal in an away prem game since the middle of September so that's a bad habit we can't quite kick.

Fernandes usually has good games v us so our fans in the corner giving him stick will probably awaken him from his 23/24 slumber.
Luckily for you all, we're pretty good at breaking negative records this season.

Play Rashford on the left and Garnacho on the right for this one as we need goals.

Likely another loss with no goals scored again because Ten Hag is a stubborn goat and never learns anything from losses.

Let’s do Liverpool game approach again and work for a draw, we can do it if we manage to go ultra negative.

Please don`t! We wouldn`t be able to break down a compact defending, heavily rotated Stevenage at current form. Go forward, go nuts and be sloppy in defense, might provide some kind of entertainment at least, you will win in the end either way. It`s christmas after all.

What is the point of playing Hojlund every game. He doesn’t score and doesn’t even look like he will. Not entirely his fault because he gets such poor service but we need a change up front and I don’t really care who we try. Even McT might be a better alternative, at least he knows where the net is! Alternatively we could bring in someone from the reserves but I can’t recall anyone who looks good enough. We are in a crises and need new ideas before it’s too late.

We need a cast iron reinforced doomsday prepped fecking greyhound coach with its tires blown out and I'm not even kidding.
Let Hojlund hang out with their goalkeeper for tea and biscuits. There's a one in a billion off chance he'd be able to nab a loose ball and bundle it home.

We're a better team with Eriksen in it and we need Bruno at 10.

I'm certainly expecting Hojlund to score btw. What is he on now, 14 prem games without a goal?

Go back 20 years and Forlan was on a similar run and he scored v us and then scored more important goals in 2002/03.

Fernandes pretty much always scores v us aswell. Couldn't believe it yesterday watching your game when comms said he'd never scored against West Ham despite this being his 12th appearance against them!

Hojlund won't score unless he gets the service he deserves which he ain't getting. I fear it will be another shitshow and ETH will come out with more crap. He just can't inspire the players, they are playing without the fear of consequences if they don't perform. If they get dropped, they still get paid their salary. Where's the incentive for these players? I hope I wrong and we win and Hojluns scores a hat-trick.

Forlan got better service and was missing a lot more chances before scoring it's really the opposite with Hojlund but Hojlund will likely runaround shirtless if he scores against Villa.

It depends which villa turns up. I expect us to labour alot, either in the first or second half. If villa have their attacking brogues on, we could well be beaten. Certainly wouldn't surprise me.

    I remember Forlan.
At his previous club, he was prolific and that's why we got him.
He joined us and just could not score. Needless to say, Fergie called time on his low-scoring ways and got him out of the club.
    Fergie demanded goals.

Under ETH, a no-scoring Forlan would probably be the first name of the team sheet.
I am genuinely baffled how ETH has not realised that to win games we need to score goals.

Regarding Hojlund, I said right from the get-go that Hojlund was a youth player who should've been immediately loaned out to another club. Probably a Championship side. And only IF he starts showing promise in the Championship should he be called back to MUFC.
    I hope I'm wrong though.

that would have been the case with local youngsters or "value" signings from Vitesse or Gent, but never with Hojlund. he's in United top 5 or 6 most expensive signings ever - meaning, he was never getting sent to Stoke or Millwall to play under some random dinosaur.

I'd be amazed if we won this game. Although the partial takeover might give everyone a lift.

Wouldn't be surprised if the bookies have Villa as slight favourites. With the partial takeover and injury doubts this is going to be a tough game to predict.

Ferguson also demanded many goal scoring chances for each game so was no real excuse for any forward not to be scoring. Ten Hag had Rashford scoring last season how and why he's turned to rubbish should be main question asked than 20 year old settling in at new club in a new country.

Would like to see Martial start ahead of Hojlund, and if we (and when) it doesn't work, alternate between he and Rashford. Garna hasn't capitalised on Rasher's profligacy. Hojlund just doesn't feel at all ready for this league.

If Bruno play, we need a solid midfield, which means losing Mainoo. I love the kid but he's fluid, and cannot last the full game.

At the back, if Varane is fit and ready, pick him and Kambwala. Shaw and AWB if Dalot is suspended.

    Onana
    Shaw Varane Kambwala AWB (Dalot)
    McT Amrabat
    Bruno
    Rashford Martial Antony

    Bayindir
    Evans
    Reguilon
    Eriksen
    Mainoo
    Garancho
    Hojlund

Pick ten Hag as manager, unless Fergie is back from injury.

They are. A team that was in the Championship 5 years ago, favourites at Old Trafford.

Last year we suffered due to Villas new manager bounce. This year we’re going to turn the tables and inflict a humiliation on them due to our new minority shareholder bounce. :D

    1-0 United :wenger:
    I would take any win.

Maybe we'll see Rashford on the scoresheet... putting the 'Manchester back into Manchester United'
