Match saving interception by Lukaku. That's why he's on the pitch. Martial wouldn't have done that.

    3 points. All that matters.

    Rash goal

Now we see if Arsenal can take points off chelski.

Complacency in the second half almost cost us, but it’s frustrating to see us barely able to run after minute 70th.

Seven wins from seven for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but this one wasn't as comfortable as perhaps it should have been. Despite being well in control at 2:0 at half-time, and dominating much the second-half, we had to hang on in the end to win 2:1. Groß's goal after 72 minutes gave Brighton hope and they had the better of the closing moments of the match, really pushing for an equaliser. We held on though and claim another crucial three points in the chase for fourth.

He's scored every time he's come on, how is that a pointless sub? Martial hasn't done anything in these last two games.
He's not talking about martial. He's talking about lukaku. How difficult is that to understand?

Well done Ole. We were lucky in the 2nd half last week against Spurs due to DDG's performance of a lifetime. Today we faced a mid / lower level team who we should be putting away and again 2nd half was poor. Can't help but think Ole needs to work on changing tactics better when things don't work for us but very happy we've 7 on the trot and he's doing what is asked of him

You can see why he was subed on though, he's scored every time he came on.
It's a pointless sub if you're trying to hold on though. He doesn't have to score. Just hold the ball up and relieve pressure from the team.

Complacency and tiredness set in second half, way before expected. Kept giving the ball away needlessly. But another 3 points, so can't complain.

And I answered why Lukaku should come on. I don't get why people get so upset whenever someone mentions that Martial hasn't been good. He still seems to be inconsistent.

He's a great option on the counter though and that's what we needed.

Apparently his attitude is not top notch.

We've certainly made improvements, but we're still very much a work in progress.

Seems we ran out of gas from the 70 minute.

Again brilliant goal from Rashford, poor game for Dalot and Young.

I think OGS should start working on subs for the midfield, as soon as Matic and Herrera run out of gas all the team falls back, we should make substitution to keep posesion and control of the game.

At the last minutes with very few Brighton was all over us.

Decent first half and first 10 minutes of second half. The last 35 minutes it was like we have swapped Ole for Jose and reverted back to the dour shit we have been served up for most of the season. We cannot just drop off like that, we will be punished and nearly where today.

I think the roles played by inverted full backs Dalot and Ashley Young was underappreciated. Against inverted wingers they hardly gave Locadia and Solly March a kick for the whole game. Likewise Matic completed nearly 100 passes with 91% accuracy, including ten long passes, including the long pass that won the game.
