I reckon Jose's a good guy really, the jobs he takes really kill him though.

Very pleased we smashed them. I don't rate this Chelsea team at all and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish around 10th place when May comes.

We looked quite shaky but settled in well when the nerves calmed.

I hate how Pogba can be our very best and one of our worst. He really needs to raise his bottom level.

Very very excited to see how our season develops. I'm still betting on us finishing 4th or 5th.
I don't know about that, for me the difference today was how lethal our forwards are. Against most teams outside the top 6 I think they will do fine. Won't make top 4 but should finish 7th at worst

That's absolute nonsense. He was perfectly solid in the first half apart from a couple of silly flicks and spins.
One sloppy pass almost led to a Chelsea goal first half. First 30 mins he lost possession time after time. He got into it towards the end of the half and was great in the second.

You know it is possible to celebrate brilliance and criticise failings?

This post is laughable. From a talent perspective, we just beat a top 4 club 4-0. To think we will finish 7th is outlandish. You sir.... are full of shite!

You sir are dump as hell. Read the post, understand. I am saying Chelsea will finish 7nth at worst. I expect United to fully challenge for fourth. You must be thick.

That's exactly how I feel tbh. Could have easily be losing at HT and probably should have. A lot better second half though. Wolves will answer a lot of questions.
Maguire was a wall, AWB with impressive performance and very pleased with James's debut goal.
Could of been losing but neither was a massive chance. Abraham just turns and hits it and if it goes in fair enough but it wasn't a chance he 'should' score. Emerson had a really tight angle which is why he aimed near post. We had other attacking moments first half as well which we didn't make the most of us.

    Fecking brilliant

Buzzing with that, a team that’s actually likeable.

Very happy with that result. Predicted a 2-2 draw. Rode our luck at times but the clinical finishing on the break and some good defending very positive.

Let's take it into Wolves next but I would definitely work on that midfield set up in training this week.

First 20 minutes we looked nervous, giving the ball away easily, allowing them to get down our left flank too easily, we looked what we were, a new team, in a new formation, inexperienced, and everyone still finding their feet with their own particular job. But for me, I would rather play crap, and go on and win 4-0, because I'm sure in time, we will get a balanced midfield, probably not a great midfield, but one that can do their jobs professionally, and create some openings for the strikers. Players like McTominay and Pereira will definitely improve in time, but how many games Pereira will get until Ole may decide to replace him who knows, a fit Fred may slot in on the left of midfield. Can see Fred possibly coming in for Lingard away at Wolves, when Ole may slightly adjust the system to give us more bite in midfield. Great start to the season though, but yes, the midfield is where we are weakest.

Now be honest. While Dan James was celebrating his goal who was thinking ‘we need a better midfield’.

    Onward and upward hopefully

Which fecking rock did you come from. I was replying someone who said Chelsea would finish around 10nth. Pipe down good sir. Maybe look back and see how I respectfully replied the person who said that. It could serve you well. Good day

Wasn't Phil Jagielka clocked as the fastest player in the league one year? Those stats mean nowt. I have eyes and I can see who is fast and who isn't. Michael Owen in 1998 was fast, Anthony Martial is not.
I mean it’s the all time speed he is recorded as the 3rd fastest with Leroy Sane, Van Ann Holt 1st and 2nd and then Martial is tied 3rd with Vardy. Again not explosive fast but just watch today for when he makes that run out wide of Rashford. He is shifting. He’s clearly fast just doesn’t have that explosive turn of pace.

Their back 4 is going to be torn to shreds. They’re going to have to rely on Pulisic creating something magical but then again Harry ‘Feck off’ Maguire at the back that’s not going to be too easy.

I’m seeing a nasty 3/4-0 win for united here
One of the worst back 4 in the premier league this season. Still dead certain Chelsea won’t finish anywhere above 8th

No Matic, Young, Jones, Smalling getting anywhere near the pitch. Thank you Ole. :D

Great start. And I would expect most of that lineup to be steady fixtures when fit. Pereira and Lingard's places are probably the only ones in doubt. We will do so much better if we can keep the back 4 and keeper fit and the same.

Wolves away will be a bigger test though.

Of course, but he did his job for the team, kept shape well, worked hard at both ends. He wasn't perfect, of course, but he was just another dedicated team member in that opening and held position solidly. Those haven't always been automatic with him.

Don't get the negativity, FFS we just beat the chavs, ok there's work to be done but what's not to celebrate ? It's almost as if united fans want us to fail, get a grip, and get behind the team.

If anyone is negative after that, then they can shove a massive dildo up their arse - pathetic.

    Great win. Well done lads.

I do not want Matic nor Pereira for this game, not sure I can think of a competitive game I would want Pereira. I just do not think him good enough.

But clearly our window was a train wreck as we start a CM at right wing.
I get your point about Pereira, but what else have we got ? Fred ? Mata ? After playing 4231 pre-season it looked more of a 433 or even a 41221 today ? I still see Matic as part of our strongest Midfield either in a two or three man midfield :-(

Great results and lots of positives, but lets not get carried away. As soon as I saw the line ups I thought what an average Chelsea side. ANd the last thirty minutes, couple of breaks and they totally fell apart.

First half though they were all over us. The gaps in midfield and especially down the flanks were very worrying. I also felt uncomfortable with a lot of our efforts to play the ball out from the back and the press wasnt structured more just folllowing the ball.

A lot of improvements need to be made tactically and we need to be much better drilled to compete for the top four. I think we improved a lot when we sat back more and played counter attackign football.

Yes that Chelski lineup doesn't scare me... hopefully they'll flounder massivly this season.

I think this win may be a prototypical performance from us this season, we have a lot of fast aggressive players that will press for 90, and we have Pogba that can pick out a pass with the best of them. We have a counterattack that should be ranked with the best of them. Mcgwire and AWB are perfect additions to this squad and will help us become the best defense in the Premier league. I'm a homer for sure... but I've been saying this since we signed Harry. Clean sheet number 1 in the books.

For next week, I'd like to see Martial on the bench with Greenwood getting a run plus James to start instead of Pereria. McTom looked really strong in the Matic spot today! Hope he can hold this spot down all season and cement himself there for a long time.

Harry MOTM, AWB a close second. What very astute buyings they were for £130m. Need to do the same next window with midfield. Pereira and Beanz were pants. Very encouraging start though, even though the stats for possession and shots were against us.

Interesting to see how we set up against Wolves.

He's a good guy in that he's a "good guy" but he's also undeniably self serving and calculating in a way that will hurt the organisation he works for. Watch it go tits up on Sky and him blame Comcast for not drafting in a major new presenter.

    On the move..
For me, the back four made the day. AWB and Maguire were out of this world.

Then Pogba, guy I’ve disliked and had bad feeling about, made some very good judgement and contributed real well.

Minutes up until the penalty were very nervous for the team, but then they relaxed and it was enjoyable. Lovely.
