Chelsea Football Club (also known as The Blues and The Pensioners) are a professional football club based in Fulham, London. Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook) after Gus Mears had previously acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. Since there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough, the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea, was settled on.

Chelsea's first major title success came in the form of the League Cup with the appointment of former Arsenal player, Ted Drake, who also led Chelsea to the their first ever League title, enabling them to compete in the European Cup, but after objections from The Football League and the FA, Chelsea were persuaded to withdraw from the competition before it started - allowing Matt Busby's Manchester United to start their illustrious adventure with the competition.

After decades of being non-competitors, Chelsea returned to the domestic title fore in 2003 under new owner Roman Abramovich, who fueled an unprecedented spending spree - starting in the mid 2000s. Since the takeover, Chelsea have won 1 Champions League title, 5 Premier League titles, 5 FA Cup titles, 2 Europa League titles and 3 League Cup titles. Chelsea's most prominent rivalries include local clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, title rivals Manchester United and Liverpool. Chelsea play their home games at Stamford Bridge.

But honestly, we should play a mix of first team players and reserves.

    Romero
    Dalot Bailly Maguire Williams
    Fred Pogba
    Greenwood Mata James
    Ighalo

    Romero
    Dalot Bailly Mengi TFM
    McTominay Fred
    Mata Lingard James
    Ighalo

Possibly TFM at CB for Mengi, Dalot at LB and Laird at RB.

B team please. I will take a stuffing by Chelsea in the semis to give us a better chance of winning our last two games.

It would be great to win a cup but we really need Matic, Martial and Fernandes fit for the final two games.

I don't even want our best players on the bench. Give them a couple of days rest. Nurse them well. Get them as fresh as possible for West Ham.

Has to be fringe players. Happy to miss out on the FA cup.

Reserves XI please. We cannot afford to miss UCL for the FA Cup. The team is tired and this is the best time to rotate. If we win it then great otherwise move on.

Players looking tired.....sorry to say with it being a semifinal but I’d rest as many players as possible.

Romero, Dalot, Bailey, Lindelof, Williams, Fred, McTominay, Lingard, James, Ighalo,Mata.

3 points against West Ham must take priority.

Could not give a single flying feck about this game.

Go balls to the wall for top four and Europa League as both of them at least mean something.

Also, our chances of winning Europa > chances of winning FA Cup. Although it would be lovely if we could win both.

    Ighalo

    James - Mata - Lingard

    Fred - McTominay

    Dalot - Bailly - Maguire - Mensah

I agree. Chelsea will rest players as well

I don't think it'll be wholesale changes but I do hope we use this game to rotate a few. Greenwood looks like he really needs a game off, same with a couple of the midfielders.

Honestly feck this game. i would have liked to pummel the rents but we need to rest our better 11.

That being said Daniel James is the perfect candidate for a smash and grab.

Happy to lose this game if it increases out chances of league points. B team competition requires B team selection.

Time to rest some players. We have two finals vs West Ham and Leicester after this.

All depends on what Chelsea put out as their first 11.

Remember, they have to go to Anfield a couple of days later.

I'd go for Romero on goal - he deserves it.

Bailly - hungry for game time.

    TFM - did good today.

Fred - always up for it.

    James - should do good.

Ighalo - give him a start.

And the rest, 5 first team players.
One half to Matić one to Mctom or Pogba.
One half to Rash one to Martial.
    Play the captain.
    Awb can handle it.
One half to Greenwood one to Lingz.

That should take us to the final!

B team. Still fairly confident of getting the win. Chelsea aren't great.

Give the whole XI a rest, they deserve it. B team makes it to semi then we shall let them continue.

    Romero
    Left back? Mensah Bailly Dalot
    Mata Lingard Fred McTominay James
    Ighalo

That's good enough for me even if we lose 3-0.

Not that we have to choose, but would gladly have the FA Cup over top 4. I’ll never understand the fan who doesn’t prioritise wanting to see his team win silverware. The majority of the best moments since Fergie have been the three cup wins.

Ole has the right mentality to manage a super club and understands that writing Poch-esque fiction about how you are going to win the CL and PL one day when you can’t even reach a domestic final doesn’t wash.

I think Greenwood and the left backs might be the only ones changed up depending on fitness. Matic isn’t going to sit out again. There’s not much point playing Romero if DDG and Hendo are going to be our two next year either.

    ....................... DDG
    AWB Lindelöf Maguire Shaw/Williams
    .............. Fred Matic Pogba
    ...................... Bruno
    .............. Martial Rashford

Biggest game we have left this season. Same XI as against Saints and the previous games.

Anyone except DDG, AWB, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Bruno, Rashford, Martial or Greenwood.

All these players should not even be on subs bench, maybe not even in Wembley, preferably at home and in strict lockdown!

feck resting players. Fa cup semi final. Lose and it could hurt players mentally for the tough midweek games.

    De Gea
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Pogba Matic
    Greenwood Bruno Rashford
    Martial

    Romero
    Bailly Maguire Lindelof
    Dalot Mctominay Fred Williams
    Lingard
    Ighalo James

Lingard, Ighalo and James up top please. Couldn't care less about this game.

I have mixed feelings about this, on one hand we can win a trophy but I think I'd rather we rotate and see how it goes. CL has to be the priority IMO.
