Not going to blame Ole. You have to use your squad. Our squad isn't good enough and Ed and the Glazers etc etc...need to invest but they are stupid.
I don't buy that. In the first game of the season, a game in which we really needed a positive result to offset the growing fan toxicity, he starts Dan James and Scott McTominay. Greenwood was available to play as was Fred - both should've started. And if being tired/not match fit is the excuse, then why did Pogba start?

You could wake my mom in the middle of the night and she'd still be able to pass it better.

    Who's fecking fault is it?!
The manager who chose him ahead of Donny? It was questionable pogba would be fit for this game - was it not? Why rush him back. The whole reason we bought Donny was to cover for him and Bruno.
Is this the only thing still worrying you about this game? Even if it was bad defending, we won't lose the game because of that - we will lose it because over overall dire performance. Also, our manager doesn't seem to be changing anything at all.
According to your ideology goals like this will keep on happening and that’s not the problem. It’s not the only thing that worried me about the game. It’s the reason crystal fcking palace scored in the 7th minute at old Trafford. Which also has a huge impact on the game. Our manager made a change at half time and then another midfield change mid second half.
I don’t see how it’s a bad idea to dissect why we went down in the 7th minute.

We all know Ole has his limitations. When you see fellow Norwegian choosing DORTMUND over us while the likes of James Rodriguez is eager to join Everton because of their manager...it is clear we are not an attractive proposition. Not a knee jerk reaction. Fernandes painted over the cracks of the failings up top and in our coaching

Was that Man Utd, or Salford city, I could not see the difference, this is poor poor. SAF must be thinking what am I watching? Glazers iether sell the club an stop hemoraging money out of the club for your own benefit. Just piss off and sell it. I'm glad there's no crowd to watch that dross. Next thing will be they will sack the manager.
And the problem is the owners. .. poor I'd play most of these against Luton, and play the academy boys in next prem game.

Going to be a long season. Ole has been here a season and a half and still no discerable pattern to our play. He really fecked up as well not starting the best team.

It is getting to the point where i am just fed up with United at this stage. Might just cancel sky sports all together until we start getting better.
I literally signed up on Thursday for sky sports including BT sports due to genuine excitement in watching United, thank feck for the cooling off period....

This is the perfect storm of inept management at board level, awful management (at least in this game) by Ole, and awful, spineless performances from a bunch of overpaid clowns.
Ole is going to have to pick this up quick or we could be miles behind. Lose to Jose and it could be the end. The team seems badly prepared. We are behind regarding fitness, but we should be talented enough to see off Palace.

I’m disappointed that the fans aren’t there to voice some fecking fury towards Ed and the Glazers.

    Oh come on.

Him not being able to pass the ball has nothing to do with the manager.

    His fitness isn't even questioned.

And let's not even go on his presence on the pitch! Fecking disgrace. Looking like he doesn't give a feck

Its costing my father a fortune and he does not use sky sports, only bt sports to watch the rugby. No point paying to watch shit like today. If we start getting good then i could just pay for a nowtv pass.

There is no competition for places. He is pretty much guaranteed a spot. Just a shit fkin squad.
Ole can drop him if he plays a diamond with Pogba on the left, VDB on the right and Bruno on the top with Martial and Greenwood or Igalho.

But I agree with you we have basically 3 good attackers and the only one we can rely on is Martial... Today it looked he played on his own in attack, Rashford, Greenwood and James did not even try, that was sad.

The only one capable starting every week is Martial. We are in big trouble in attack as well as in defense this season. Litteraly at the every end of the fecking pitch. That is sad for a club like ours.

I’d say this one ranks up there amongst the stinkers.
Probably in the context in that this was the first match of the season, also at home, and there were hopes that we could still finish within the top-four!

    Well, I'm just sad, really.

Thing is, I don't even know, if new players like Sancho (who was great again) will even make that much of a difference.

There is a reason why City and Pool have been dominating the league for a few years now and it's because of superb coaching and a clear playing philosophy.

I just don't see that with us. What kind of football are we actually trying to play?

All the top clubs in the world have a clear brand of football, while nobody knows what we are actually standing for.

As long as we don't have a clear philosophy, I just fear this will continue.

Lindelöf and Rashford more and more becoming the weak spots in this team. We need Sancho and we need Bailly to step up. Or play Fosu-Mensah as centre back.
Maybe, Rashford has been poor for a while, squad is not good enough. Well behind in progression and fitness. Sideways passing was that's all they did. If there's no players in in next 2 weeks, oles getting sack at January. That's what the Glazers will do to try and appease the fans.

Why would any world class player join us
This, most definitely this. Wish I hadn't put off going for a family meal to watch this dirge. We would struggle to attract flies at this rate. Poor VdB and Bruno, they thought we were a good team with a future. Glazers need to go, and take Woody with them, and someone who 1) loves Utd and 2) has great financial acumen should be in charge and get people in who want to take us back to our glorious past to create a beguiling future.

Before kick off I said ole was incompetent for starting James. James apparently is a throw back (to what the old 4th division?) James is garbage as Is Ole. Time to sling your hook no more of this garbage and your excuses ole. We don’t get outplayed by palace at home like that and bring excuses. Na mas ole, get lost and take your merry band of underachieving loving supporters with you. You mediocre berk at best, go back home to Scandinavia and win your trophies at your level

How the feck do we start a new season with Forsu-Mensa and Dan James on the right flank? absolute shambles.

Fully deserved to get beat, Palace should have scored 5.

Greenwood is too young too be a starter and Rashford is the shadow of himself since his injurie. We are crying about our right wing but the left one is becoming a problem too.

Wish Klopp would have said yes.
He was smart! Glazers wouldn't have spent money to buy him the players he wanted. You really think that Woodward had paid money to buy Salah or Mane? feck that, he would have said to him, ''no for those 2, how 'bout Andreas Pereira as a new signing''

We talking about the same Glazers that have spent 1 billion since SAF left?

Half the team is overrated as hell. Barring moments of individual brilliance from a few of our players, I don't know what we've done in the last couple of years. Merely getting one or two new players now won't change the way we perform in any significant way, IMO.

It has to start at the drawing boards right from scratch, which also means Ole needs to go asap, because we won't be able to kick Ed or the Glazers out anytime soon. Collateral damage.

    You are so right!
Correct, no player would want to come, to a team full of prima donnas, they just like the fact there playing football, we can't even get rid of players no-one wants them unless there free to go. Jones, Smalling, lingard, And the rest, D , James is on his last season, then he be off. We got 3 class players, that's it. Bruno, Greenwood, Pogba. Ohh and Beek looks good.

If we can get a run of good results together and a fair wind behind us then we can challenge for third but my BIG worry is that this team is so mentally fragile. A few defeats doesn't galvanise them to improve it just makes them mope around. As much as we enjoyed a 14 game unbeaten run at the end of last season I think we are only a few results away from going on a 14 game winless run this season.

I never understood all the hype about Rashford anyway. He's not a clinical finisher to be a striker and he doesn't have the footballing intelligence to be an inside forward. He has another year or two to ride on the tails of his "potential" after which time he either starts fulfiling his potential or he could just be another young kid who never quite made it.

And to top it all off we have had to suffer watching most other PL clubs in the transfer market, filling their pockets with candy whilst we watch outside with our noses pressed against the shop window.

I think I'm going to look for a cat to kick.....

All true, but none of that justifies starting Dan James, who is woefully out of his depth at this level.

yeah but how much have they sucked out of the club? Context is important here.

And Bruno didn't do anything meaningful other than huffing and puffing between the boxes, Pogba missed countless passes and was rightfully subbed off, and Greenwood missed an open header.
Every single player other than de Gea and VDB was a disgrace today.

Maguire might have his problems but please dont put this on him. It his weak coward partner who deserves all the stick today.
The number of times he missed his passes!
    I am wondering who's the bigger joke - Maguire @ £80m or Kepa @£71?
