Wondering what the defense will invent this time, but if team will continue scoring two goals per match there's a chance for somekind of a win.

probably gone mad but going for 3-0 to us - although that damn think on the right took it as a 0-0!

This assumes that we can win. A draw or loss is quite possible.
Our players seem to only play well against top sides. When playing against lesser sides, they lose intensity, focus, aggression, etc.
Fulham are rock bottom. If we can't win this game we may as well pack it up and go home . We fare slightly better against bigger teams because they come on us and attack. The intensity of those games is a lot higher in general and in one off situation the team can get a result. Small teams make up 75% of this league and we often look clueless because the team has no identity/way of playing. The pace is slower and it's up to the big team with the more possession to inject the pace into the game and dictate the flow . Too often we can't do it .

So Mourinho says that if we lose it won't be because of our weaknesses but because of Fulham's strengths?? Did I hear that correctly? That's just the same as saying that if we lose it will because Fulham are stronger than us. Fecking Fulham!

The guy is seriously becoming a joke.

    1-0 win... Unfortunately.
    ;)

You probably thought the same when playing CP and Southampton. We failed to win those games, so I am not holding my breath in this match.
To score lots of points, we need to play top 6 sides. Our players simply are not capable of giving maximal effort against the lesser sides.
The sides in the relegation zone, in fact, tend to beat us.

He might bench Pogba. Pogba is in terrible form right now and we don't need Pogba to beat Fulham.

    At the Lowry

The following players were sighted at The Lowry:

Goalkeepers (3): David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant
Defenders (6): Ashley Young, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw
Midfielders (5): Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Fred, Ander Herrera
Forwards (4): Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku

Only 18 players were seen, so unless we are going to include both Romero and Grant on the bench, it is likely at least one of: Darmian, Valencia, Fellaini and Andreas will be in the squad too.

Martial and Bailly have seemingly failed late fitness tests so won't be playing tomorrow, but we should be able to beat Fulham without them, right?

What is wrong with Bailly? None of these defenders can stay fit.

Going for 1-1. These were hopeless before Ranieri but he tightened their defense a bit and they have something about them going forward (Sessengon, Schurle, the new Shearer...). It won't be an easy game, and without Martial on the pitch and with our atrocious football, I don't see is scoring more than one goal.

    Last time we faced Fulham

It was quite memorable and a record breaking game. We produced 81 crosses in a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in 2014 under Moyes - the last time we dropped points to Fulham at home before that was back in 2003 when we had Djemba-Djemba and Bellion on our books while Fulham had van der Sar and Saha (both of whom joined United since). We lost 3-1 that day.

The 2014 game was also memorable for this gif:

A lot of people incorrectly assume that Moyes was celebrating the draw but it was a replay and at the time he was celebrating United going ahead. Let's hope this game is memorable for the right reasons.

I think that Pogba would be next to useless, against a team which is in the relegation zone.
The guy has no desire to play in small matches.

I could be wrong, but it seems like because it happened once you think it is always the case now. Or maybe you know Pogba?

If we can't win today, we might as well pack up our bags and come back in August.

Can we please rest matic. PLEASE. Just play herrera as the deeper box-to-box guy and take a risk. You have NOTHING to lose Jose. You're about to be fired, just play the best XI possible. At the moment, that would be a mid 3 of Herrera Fred Pogba.

Matic offers nothing in the midfield. Whether down to injury or sheer fatigue, the bloke is completely out of it and makes the midfielders of Palace, Southampton etc look like Barca.

Mourinho does not see it that way though. In his eyes, Matic has been playing like fecking Redondo. Unless Mourinho is on a sabotage mission or maybe there are other things we might not know.

I miss the days of having players that always delivered against the bottom clubs. Now we just have players that don't deliver. Ever.

    2-0. Rashford and Mata.

    Here's how it will go:
    - the first 15 minutes we attack like crazy
    - nothing comes out of the blurry start and we regress into the boring mess
    - we score a quirky ping pong goal from a set-piece around the 75th minute

    Let the crack-papering begin
there's every chance Jose goes extremely negative in the match. No doubt he suspects fulham will basically play 11-0-0, so get ready for the possibility of fellaini, matic, lukaku to try and score from headers and long balls.

Every chance this ends 0-0 or 1-1 after fulham get a quick goal.

We are of course looking forward to an attacking display with 4-5 goals being scored. Wingers bombing down the flanks getting to the byline.
The sad thing is, i loved 4-0 jose football. We looked crap one moment and then scored 3 goals in 7 mins. It was the best football since SAF left. It's such a shame that we cannot get back to this level. This is the perfect game for risk taking and all he's talking about is respecting fulham.
