Spurs aren’t playing this weekend so it’s the perfect opportunity to draw level with them on points.

Mood at United is well and truly on the up! keep the good form going

Don’t we normally beat this lot? I feel like we usually beat this lot.
Yep, haven't lost against them since 2009. 18 wins and 3 draws in that time.

Very unusual in that all the lesser lights of the league seemed to get a handful of wins against us over the last decade.

Is Aron definitely out? Otherwise we could move Dalot to the left
Dalot playing too well at RB at the moment for it to be worth moving him to the left, even if he is fit. It'll probably be Lindelof; not ideal but he's done OK there. Seems mad in hindsight not to have extended Reguilon's loan move at least to the end of the season given Shaw's injury record.

Yeah, Reguilon was actually decent for us there, showed heart.

Think Shaw will miss this one, so Victor to start perhaps and maybe we might be able to get a sub appearance from Ty. 3-0 for me too. Hojlund hat-trick if he gets enough passes to him, at this rate 5 passes to him into the box will be more than enough :)

There’s no way it would make more sense to have Lindelof at LB than Dalot if AWB is fit. As it stands, looks like he won’t be - but I do have half an eye on the derby and if needed that would be a much better solution than starting Lindelof at left back IMO. Hopefully Shaw is back for the City game at least anyway.

Must win this one. We're losing against City anyway and Spurs and Villa play each other soon so we can overtake one of the sides even if we loose against City.

Very hard game, but a must win if we have any ambition of playing in the CL next season.

Confident but hope we don't get complacent.

All i want to see is:
Evans partner Varane. The compsure, experience and ball playing ability is relevant here
Ideally we are in cruise control and we give Amad a good runout.
Any yellow cards or poor play from Case and we give Amrabat a chance. I think he's persistently underrated here.
Rashford having a moment or two of magic to get the swagger back.
    The rest as per normal

LB is our only potential problem.

How Fulham have done against the top 8 away this season (haven't played Villa in Villa park yet)

2-0 defeat to Tottenham (2 goals from 5 shots on target)
5-1 defeat to Man City ( 5 goals from 5 shots on target)
4-3 defeat to Liverpool ( It was 3-2 to Fulham 86 mins played)
2-2 draw v Arsenal ( Fulham played the last ten minutes with 10 men)
    1-1 draw v Brighton
3-0 defeat to Newcastle ( Fulham down to 10 men from the 22nd minute)

Palhinha suspended after picking up a yellow last time out. Certainly weakens them

I think we'll beat them comfortably.

    Get your money on Fulham.

I'm actually starting to believe in and expect wins now. We are at home, Fulham are bottom half and have won one game in their last eight, and besides Martinez and maybe Shaw we have the players available with a full week to prepare.

No excuses to not win this, if we want to be in the Champions League next year. Next league game is then a Man City away, where any point is a bonus, before we have another 3-4 fairly winnable games. We can put real pressure on Villa and Spurs through rest of February and March.

We will not beat shitty. They are in a form dip atm and will, of course, reach peak perfomance by the end of next week.

Fulham though, we might get a draw if Evans plays instead of Mag.

Winning 11 of their last 12 games doesn't scream form dip to me

If it wasn't for the left back issue then I'd fancy us to win this comfortably. However with Lindelof at left back, I'll go for another marginal 1-0 or 2-1 win.

    Dalot - Varane - Maguire - Lindelöf
    Casemiro - Mainoo
    Bruno
    Garnacho - Forson - Rashford

There’s no way that the kid Amass is going to even be in the squad, let alone the bench or the starting lineup, because, even though we don’t have a single fit left back, he’s not even 17 yet. It would be throwing him right into the deep end.

EDIT: Replaced Højlund with Forson because of the former’s fecking injury. A lot less confident about the next few games now.

Why is Kambwala not an option? He's already played in at least one premiere league game that I can remember, and the very vast majority thought he somewhere between OK and pretty darn good. My first inclination was to have a back line of Kambwala-Maguire-Varane-Dalot with Dalot on the left.

We should beat Fulham comfortably. Only worry I have is if they bring Adama Traore on late and he's up against Lindelof or Amrabat, He'd kill either one of them with his pace and power.
