We have no midfield at the moment, the only truly useful and effective player is Fred, so I'm really worried for Ole and the team. We will scrap a win at best, unfortunately I don't see us playing well and a lot of players seem to be not fully fit at the moment.

We'll win, people will float back into the forum with stuff like "Ole out bridge bunch of idiots LOL"
Then we'll lose to Wolves, they'll say "Wolves have a better team, all our players are injured, it's a plan, a process!"

    Rinse, repeat.

    4-0, next

James understandably has looked fecked the last few games, Ole could do worse than give the kid a week off to recharge his batteries, i'm sure SAF would've done. And come back fresh for the 2nd leg against City because you just never know.

Bless you little precious little porcelain unicorn you...

    And it's "you're" not "your".
If Unicorns understand fan loyalty and the meaning of the word ‘support’ then jump on my back, grab my horn and let’s ride majestically to Old Trafford and show our unwavering support lad

This Unicorn will show you the error of your ways

For now I have showed you the error of your grammar. Time will show you and all your unicorn mates the errors of blind faith and supporting a manager more than the club. Till then continue your majestic ride.

Tis’ called autocorrect and quick typing.

I don’t support the manager more than the club, I just happen to think logically about the overall situation the club is in.

We have reached this low point after 5-6 years of awful mismanagement and dreadful recruitment.

Tell me which manager on planet earth corrects that in one single transfer window with a net spend of £75 million?

You tell me who he is and I’ll happily jump on board the Ole out train (although with a bit more respect than most show here.)

I’ll give you a clue that person exists about as much as my feckin’ Unicorn

The " no manager exists who could have done better than what Ole is doing" theory is a dead horse. See numerous other threads where this theory has been debunked. I can't be arsed to go into the details. You keep believing what you believe, I will keep sticking to what numerous managers have done in numerous leagues with infinitely worse squads, which by the way they have not weakened on their own will.
Who weakened the squad without first getting the replacements in?
Who purchased a dud defender for a world record fee?
Who has not been able to imbibe any degree of cohesion in attack pressing or defence, forget about tactics?
Who comes up with lame ass comedy such " we won the half 1-0" or "Lingzyboi runs a lot and is bubbly"?

Never had we such a charlatan in charge and hopefully never again ever.

Seriously though wishing the club you support to lose 5-0 to Norwich in a bid to oust the manager is purest shithousery.
I never wish us to lose to any team however, even you must feel that we are going absolutely nowhere under the current manager.
The entire club is underperforming (not just Ole), but that does not mean that Ole should be allowed to continue.
We wrote off last season because Woodward demotivated Jose.
We have wrote off this season, because we are building for the future.

How many seasons are we going to write off? This needs to stop.

We should go for a back 1 with Lindelof as the CB. If City can play without a CF why can't we play with 1 CB or without a CB. That will confuse Norwich and they will not know how to play against us and the pundits will claim Ole as a genius.
Let´s play without a keeper instead. That would confuse them even more.

Wan Bissaka will be playing CB within 2-3 weeks and probably end up staying there.

    Don't defend the indefensible.

He's fighting the good fight against so-called supporter who wants us to lose 5-0 at home to Norwich.

Listen I totally understand your point and frustration, there’s a belief that Ole fans are happy to settle for mediocrity and lower standards - that could not be further from the truth, at least speaking for myself anyway!

What people need to realise, or more importantly accept, is that the standard of squad has already been MASSIVELY dropped.

You can demand success but it won’t make it come any quicker, the same way you can say to yourself ‘I want a Lamborghini - I demand this of myself’ and expect to get one without the necessary work.

I don’t think Ole is the answer long term, what slack I do give him is that he is the one shouldering the responsibility for 6 previous years of woeful management and recruitment. Therefore it takes more than one window.

Didn't LVG and Mourinho preach that it would be a 3 year process to rebuild this squad and most agreed!?
My argument is that back then it was a better squad with less injuries - in what world do people not acknowledge Ole’s starting point is a hell of a lot worse?

The sheer lack of patience blurs the mind, people forget what has been and where we are now.
We are off the perch and on the floor, top four is possible and I think would be a huge achievement and step in the right direction - again remember where we have finished in seasons with stronger squads

I hope we lose. And lose comfortably. Every Norwich goal will make me more sure we'll get rid that clown of a manager.

I hope I'm doing this right.

Our season is destined to be a set of troughs, but only after a few little peaks in between.
Therefore, Ole will avoid the sack. But the board will have a huge decision to see if they'll trust him to lash even more wad on players the next manager won't fancy.

Again no mention of a managers name, it’s cool, like I say he doesn’t exist.

As I’ve pointed out many times it’s obtuse in the extreme to believe that Ole was happy to let Lukaku go without Ed having given him assurances a replacement would be secured. Regardless of what Ole says to the press about that - he’s simply towing the company line (he doesn’t have Mourinho’s ego or big mouth.)

No Manager on earth, no matter how inept, takes on this job, arguably the hardest job in world football to regain our no.1 status in the premier league with the worst squad in living memory - and then agrees to sell his top goalscorer without believing he would be provided a replacement.

Not even an 8 year old on FM would be happy with that decision.
Its one of those fake facts that people use to beat Ole with.

The blame for our shite summer window lies purely in Ed’s lap.

Compare our £75 million net spend to Real Madrid who were also undergoing a big summer rebuild (still nowhere near as big as ours.)
The difference is night and day, this in a nutshell shows how hamstrung any manager at our club will be and will therefore struggle initially.

You want to blame somebody perhaps blame the bald muppet who only let us spend so little when we needed so much.

I'll just name one: Antonio Conte. Just because he's easy to compare.

Took over a Chelsea squad in disarray (after Mourinho had plunged them into chaos) and instantly won the title.

Took over a mediocre Inter Milan, with a so called "donkey" as his main striker and is top of the league after half a season. With the donkey outscoring Ronaldo.

There's plenty of other names, but this one seemed most appropriate.

(he's not available now obviously, I'm just pointing out the absurdity of your claim there's nobody who would be doing better with this squad)

Don't waste your time arguing with those of the blind faith persuasion and top red ambition. These people have seemingly run some magical simulation in which all the managers in football have been appointed and all of them failed to improve our fortunes. Hence their claim that " no manager exists". You see, they have even destroyed the concept of mathematical probability in order to fuel their Olemania. Let them enjoy reruns of Olice in Blunderland. This is the matchday thread. Let's keep it on point.

There is a key difference here, I’m not saying there are not better managers, what I’m saying is there are not any available managers that would have guaranteed top four or even challenged for trophies - which is what some here seem to expect from this season.

We’ve tried and tested two top level managers and both went to shite, there is something above the managers position that is ultimately undermining the benefit the position can bring.

Yes didn’t notice this was the match day thread, you’ve no business here until Ole has left the club sir, then and only then can you resume your conditional support for this great club

Hi, I’m here to tell you that your both scum, sub-human scum :nono: :p

Seriously though wishing the club you support to lose 5-0 to Norwich in a bid to oust the manager is purest shithousery.
I would only want that if it was a guaranteed sacking, which it wouldn't be. He's here to the end of the season minimum, so I hope we win every game.

I hope he turns it around and becomes a competent manager, I really do, but it's not looking likely is it. He has one way of playing, underdog style counter attack. It worked a charm against Spurs and Chelsea and worked once against City, now we've shown our one and only hand, we saw how City eased passed us when they were prepared for our style, that will happen again and again. We have no patterns of play, there's no plan on how to break teams down, we rely on individual brilliance from Rashford/Martial/Pogba (when he actually plays) or a defensive mistake from the opponent.

We'll most likely beat Norwich and the Ole in brigade will talk about how it's a process and it takes time and we're a young squad going in the right direction etc, then we'll lose to Wolves in the cup and the Ole out brigade will be at it. We're basically turning so many corners we're just running round in circles.

Ironically you replied to a post that was addresses to me!

Random Ole hater triggered by a discussion that involved, you know, talking about replacements rather than solely longing for Ole to be sacked with no successor or handover of the squad.

Fans of the simple minded persuasion simply add pressure on the club that the media thrives on and magnify, rather than stamping feet and polarising the situation try to look further than ‘swap manager’ every season. That’s all I’m saying bud.
