Some posters on here will have you believe that because United had a lot of the ball since Forest allowed them to after scoring 2 in 4 mins, it means that United were the best team in the game. The stupidity of some on here knows no bounds, or perhaps they are just too blinded by last season's efforts to be able to see how awful we have been.
This is disrespectful to fellow posters. You may not agree with them, but the use of such words is not acceptable.

I don't think Forest fear Antony that much, which is probably why he's had so much of the ball. They know what he'll do and what his aim is. He's so easy to play against.

    "Martial...He's isolated Skrtel here..."
Yet he's been our best attacking outlet today, what does that say about Martial and Rashford?
What the feck does this even mean? He’s created nothing, hasn’t beaten anyone in the final third, and hasn’t had any shots on goal. Soooo he’s just been passed the ball a lot? (Which is on purpose as teams intentionally overload to Rashfords side)

That's Wolves and now Forest that have gotten what they want in attack against us. We are in serious trouble once we play teams that can actually punish us.

Even Spurs had a shite striker who can't score.

Try this against the likes of Villa, Brighton and Newcastle and we'll get dicked. Don't even want to imagine what Arsenal and City would do.
We are likely beaten by these team. This team bend over when teams attack us. What a joke!

How can the players' heads go down so quickly against Forest at fecking home?! I'm really struggling to understand how they can be so weak. And Ten Hag? Yes, he hasn't got all the players he needs to play how he wants but so what? fecking do something else. When you're making a bacon sandwich and there's only rolls do you go "heh I'll just squish the rolls into bread slices heh" or do you just accept that you need to have a bacon fecking roll instead of a sandwich? What about dinner? "Oh, there's only chicken in the fridge and I wanted steak. I'll just starve myself tonight." One track minded cnuts, the lot of them.

Still fecking angry for this club making me throw a sandwich in the bin five minutes after kick off.

Eriksen is a nice guy. And yes, it was a clever finish to pull a goal back. But my god, you can't have someone the midfield in the Premier League who's scared to get into 50-50s. We lose a lot of 2nd balls as it is, but to not even try to win it is not excusable.

At another game so not watching but horrified to see the opening 5.
At least we've got a goal back but I'm not sure anyone would confidently say we'll equalise from the way we've started this season.

I can't believe he started the game.
Sancho was one of the highlights of pre-season and also played as a false 9, but he hasn't started yet. Granted, it's only our third game. But get the man on. Hopefully, he has some confidence.

    Some odd takes in here.

“Rashford has been crap apart from doing the thing he in on the pitch to do”

“Antony doing ok for running around a lot and creating absolutely sod all as ever”

Its been a decent response after a shocking start. Good control and constantly knocking on the door
we have to keep the tempo and keep pushing, the goal has to come.
The clear danger is forest break away and get a third.
id stick with Martial for another 15 mins see if we can nick an equaliser.

We've made chances to get back into it, but our midfield is just too slow. Every time the ball gets passed around Eriksen I stop breathing as I know he'll be no near getting in a challenge. Not his fault, but we can't carry slow players in this league. With Martial and Rashford not being pressing monsters either, the high press from the first 2 games is gone. I worry if we start like we do, we'll concede another early goal.

Which is a major concern. We start halves insanely unprepared. Like Sunday league level concentration. I don't understand it. Regardless of this game, if we keep going with this midfield in the future, we're done.

Dalot's shit passing and dumb fouls.
    Rashford's laziness and physical weakness.
Casemiro's wayward passing and non-existent agility.
    Martial non-existent presence.
    Bruno's dribbling.
Lisandro's physical weakness and dawdling on the ball.

We have the dumbest and most infuriating collection of players assembled in the league and they all seem so utterly comfortable in their position at the club.

The Latin American stream I’m watching is showing highlights of Ross Barkley’s time at Everton. fecking hell he was some talent. Some of the goals were LeTissier-esque

This is exactly the game where Martial offers nothing is subbed around the 70' and by Wednesday there's an announcement he's injured for 2 months.

Ok, that matters how? Doesn't change anything in my point.
Arsenal are in good form, 1 poor half doesn't change that. No one was criticizing Ten Hag for a poor wolves game. This is now a pattern not a poor half anymore. So it definitely matters and it's dumb to compare these situations.

Our midfield is again so meek and weak looking sadly and lacking balance and positional sense. Casemiro is so advanced, so often. Is that Ten Hag's idea, or does he just decide to do it?

    Exactly my thoughts.

There's not an ounce of intelligent movement there at all. Nothing, no dynamism, no instinctive runs, no work rate when they lose the ball.

Doesn't excuse the defending for both goals, absolutely laughable stuff, pathetic.
At the end of the day all 3 are just cut inside and shoot merchants. They all lack any intelligence or creativity, they dont react well to adversity, and they dont want to work for their team with or without the ball.

Mount, Fernandes, Eriksen. The legs and the tenacity to win 50/50s our midfield has is like choosing to be slapped by a baby or a feather

For 40 minutes this hasn't really been the case.

I saw the replay of Forest's shot near the end.

That's 3-1 to Forest if Taiwo doesn't block Gibbs-White's shot from going in the corner. Literally going in 100% and Onana isn't getting there. Outright good fortune that this is 2-1 going into H/T now.

Martial is just an empty shirt. Not involved at all despite us being all over Forest for at least 30mins.

Antony has done ok, he's not hiding and involved in the game but same issue as last season with little end product. Rashford doing a little bit but not his usual self.

Bruno's done pretty well and showing fight and spirit as usual.

There was a booking for timewasting in stoppage time, and a further stoppage because Gibbs White is hurt even though he was already off the field, and there's only 10 seconds added on to the 3 minutes?

What's the point in handing out bookings but not actually adding the time back on?
