Where to start every one apart from de Gea should be made to give up a months wages and go and do some charitable work. Being a professional sportsman they are so lucky and week after week dish up this 10 minutes of urgency a game it is becoming to be an embarrassment fro the traditions of Manchester United.

Fair enough. I'm a self confressed Jose fanboy, but I see your point tbh.
Ideally I want him to have more time / money to shape the squad, but I do understand he's had ample (of time and money) thus far!
I don't think he will fix us even if we spend another 300 million.

You keep saying reckless when I’ve not once used that word, my problem with him is the 60/40 challenge in he’s favour he pulled out of.

I’ve said it before but you seem to think every challenge has to be reckless and that if you go into a challenge your going to get injured? With that negativie mind set you might as well not get out of bed!
    Right.

If you can’t understand the difference between playing hard and playing recklessly, then I’m not going to waste anymore of your time.

Once again I thought Lingard was one of very few players who gave his all.
If he scores a hatrick every game for the rest of the season people will still hate on him, he was the best player going forward for us today imo, though that isn't saying much.

I spend more time reading the CE forum and Other sports than threads about the club. Well at least I have an excuse to drink.
The CE forum has Trump. I'd rather avoid him too. Most other sports are on a break.

I just feel drained. I'll never stop loving this team but I feel like an abused spouse at this point. The problem with two sides in this Mourinho argument will just spend the next few weeks shouting each other down. Nothing coherent.

Stone average at best? What BS. 9 goals and 4 assists says otherwise. You've never rated him anyway
Agreed! Lingard is head and shoulders above most of the players in the team - he has the ability to get into goalscoring positions. Pogba and Matic never came Close to the box apart from corners. Rashford - well I have made my opinions of him heard before. The situation when Shaw had one of our few decent crosses into the box, Rashford managed to be roughly 2 yards behind the defenders, because he lacks that instinct. He reacts after the ball is played - whereas the true goalscorers like Kane, Nistelrooy, Shearer would anticipate. Rashford doesn't anticipate.

Mourinho running on the pitch straight to the ref in a 0-0 at home vs Southampton. Says it all.
    Do you blame him?

He and his cronies got countless decisions wrong today. We're shit enough without the ref wanting to make it into a dick-swinging contest and stealing the show.

    De Gea. |No problem there.
Lindelof did ok today, is coming on well, will be good in a good team.
Phil Jones played very well today.
Young was excellent, I love the guy.
Luke Shaw had a decent game, i thought.
Pogba was ok, some great passes. Stupid of him to touch that ball that was offside... Played too deep, was my impression.
    Mata played well too.
And Lingard was wonderful, a lot of the time.
Mhiki did not play well at all. Really disappointed for him. Wasted an awful lot of possession. Why is the guy crossing with his weak foot so much?
Lukaku you cannot judge, but we missed his presence.
Matic was ok, he seems tired to me. Too much pressure on key men, ie Lukaku, Pogba, Matic. I see Jose's point about money, when I think of Matic.
Rashford was, um. Sorry but I am not a fan of the man. I had an idea to start a new thread called C-O-M-P-O-S-U-R-E. All about good decision making, on the hoof, live and under pressure. Like the kind that good refs do. Or that good businesspeople do, for instance club reps and agents. Or the kind that players on the pitch need in bucketfuls in tight situations, e.g. in front of goal, or while defending. Grown up, coolheaded stuff. Managers need it, too, mind. You stop being a kid, stop being selfish or overawed by crowd/oppo/yourself etc. Rash no more, you might say.

I think it’s you that’s not understanding as playing football involves tackling and from what you’ve wrote you think it’s reckless to go into a tackle

We didn't win because we didn't deserve to win. I'm not going to boost his ego by blaming the ref for a 3rd draw in a row. Seems like he is more focused on securing excuses than points. Why doesn't he coach his players, teach them to pass forward instead of playing insipid boring slow football. - Every bad result is always someone else's fault with Mourinho. Try coaching and playing a brand of football that doesn't make every player look terrible. This squad is not as bad as he makes it out to be. He got 7/8 players he wanted. Style shouldn't be this dull. Southampton conceded five goals a few days ago. That was their first clean sheet in eleven. - Mourinho has made us easy to play against.

How come when I try to rate players an error comes up saying "please rate all the players" ... I have rated them all!

Dude, I am an athlete and a coach. I know exactly what it means to play a collision sport hard.

I want my linebackers to make hard tackles, but I don’t want them literally breaking their necks to do it.

Doesn’t matter what you do if you ain’t doing it 100% then your not doing it right. Again the Mata incident was 60/40 in he’s favour and he let the saints player take possession.

So, you guessed all three of Mata, Lingard and Mkhitaryan to start? What was the rationale there?
Mata was the only option for the RW, Lingard had to come in for Ibra after his brace and I thought Martial was going to be out so it was Rashford vs Mkhi for the LW and I thought Mourinho might give Mkhi the home game chance as Rashford has been so poor lately.

Scholes said it right on BT Sports tonight. We have the players to compete well and play better. I'm not sure that another £300 million can fix this. I don't think it's an issue with playing personnel anymore, because we got a player who has scored 20+ goals in the league for the past 3 years, we got a midfielder who was part of probably the best midfield in the world and ran Serie A, we have a player who used to tear up the Bundesliga...those are just 3. Our squad is more than able. We've had 3 managers since Fergie left, and all of them failed to get the most out of our squad - that was Fergie's strength. The players seem frightened or shackled, they also seem as though they have a "divine" right to win games and think that by strolling through the first 75 minutes will get us a goal.

It's the job of a manager at any other organisation to keep his staff happy and motivated. I don't see happiness or motivation on that pitch. We haven't been the same since the Huddersfield game, and it all went downhill after the derby. We have a real battle on our hands to stay in the top 4 if it continues like this.

Nobody gets a free pass. De Gea played well today but the past couple games he's been subpar...
