Some rotation, but wait until the hour mark or 2 goals up to remove Casemiro, Rashford or Bruno. Maybe start:

    DDG
    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    Casemiro Fred
    Pellistri Bruno Rashford
    Weghorst
No intention of underestimating Soton. I rate Dalot as 50/50 with AWB at the mo, Malacia as a very strong option, and Pellistri as long overdue a proper try-out.

Rotate much more heavily against Betis next week.

Agree with the posts in here - this match is definitely the time to be resting some players at least for the first hour of the match.

Casemiro, Bruno and Shaw spring to mind, maybe Rashford too.

Give them a breather and let them come back absolutely swinging. Alternative is that we rest more at Betis next week but that's an away in Europe and not (on paper at least) as straightforward as playing a bottom 3 league side at OT.

    Butland
    AWB-Lindelof-Martinez-Malacia
    Casemiro
    Fred Bruno
    Antony--Garnacho
    Weghorst

    Subs:
55min Maguire in - Casemiro out (Martinez moves to DM)
    55min Pellistri in for Antony
    65min Sancho in for Garnacho

    He will go:

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro
    Bruno Fred
    Antony Weghorst Rashford

This is going to be much harder than most people think, we need to win the midfield battle and play high up the pitch, not giving away stupid free kicks where we will get punished. If Sabitzer is back from injury must start with Casemeiro and Bruno.

    They will play a low block so this is the team I would pick ;
D De Gea, AWB, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Casemeiro, Sabitzer, Bruno, Sancho, Weghorst, Rashford

Bench - Butland, Maguire, Dalot, Mctominay, Mallacia, Fred, Garnaucho, Pellistri, Antony

Hoping Martial is fit for Wednesday so he can earn some of that £250k per week

Cas and Shaw both looked shattered, so hopefully they are rested

Ward Prowse is gonna feck us again after a Fred stupid foul out side of the box
could definitely happen. stupid fouls outside the box or being sloppy around our own box/a de gea passing disaster under pressure and this could be one of those ugly draws.

Our results are very good, but that's because we keep going with strong line ups. We really aren't at the squad level yet where we can make a lot of changes and guarantee beating PL opposition.

So I imagine ETH will only rotate in moderation, if at all. Personally, I'd probably switch the FB's, and then it just depends if anyone has a knock or if anyone (esp. Varane) seems to really need the rest...

    De Gea

    AWB
    Varane
    Martinez
    Malacia

    Casemiro
    Fred

    Antony
    Bruno
    Rashford

    Weghorst

I don’t think he’ll rest many in the PL until Champions League is/if guaranteed. Expecting the same starting X1 as Thursday except AWB at right back.

    for me team should be

    ---------------------------DDG---------------------
    AWB--------RV--------------LM---------TM
    ---------------------------Cas--------------------
    -------------Bruno--------------Sabitzer----
    Antony---------Rashford-------Sancho

Shaw needs a rest, Weghorst can play 90 v Betis next week

get a decent start for a change and rotate out Casemiro (McT), Rashford (Weg), Bruno (Fred), Sancho (Garnacho) and Antony (Pellestri) ideally

Same starting line-up as yesterday except AWB for Dalot.

I guess ETH may rotate in spain therefore likely to keep the starters, hope the team can keep the momentum and secure the 3rd place asap.

Also Pellstri should get more minutes, and we need Sancho to produce more too, so far only Rashy keeping a good form but others are a bit up and down.

DDG, Bruno, and Rashford start for sure. I think Casemiro starts as well. My guess is Varane and Martinez at CB. Dalot and Malacia at FB. Maybe McT in for Fred. Sancho and Weghorst.

Last league game for 3 weeks feck rotation

Fred to give Ward Prowse at least 1 free from outside the box is a certainty

Would love to see Garnacho from the start.

Weghorst finally got his goal so I’d like him to start and grab another if possible.

    Shaw maybe needs a rest.

Aye, I think Varane might be rested for Lindelof. Would be lovely to have an opportunity to swap Sancho, Garnacho and Pellistri on early.

Though this might come back to bite me but it’s the worst team in the league and it’s us at OT so I feel it’s the perfect game to finally give Bruno a rest

I don't think we can afford to rest Bruno as we have no real playmaker in the midfield, we can rest player in the 2nd leg (but I think ETH would only sub out the stars in mid of 2nd half)

Would be nice if we could give Casemiro, Bruno and Rashford a chill day, or atleast 60 minutes, but we're in a position where we cant really afford too. No one in reserve is capable of knitting the midfield together, being a constant creative source and fundamentally capable of putting the ball in the back of the net. So those 3 are very likely to start again.

We've the bonus of being able to rotate a little midweek too, so I'd consider bringing lindelof in for Varane, and mix ut up at rb. Hopefully get casemiro off early if we're comfortable. Then midweek rest shaw, rashford, Varane, maybe even Bruno though he doesn't seem to fatigue much

Same 11 that started the second half on Thursday, rest players on Thursday night! Southampton have started to get their act together so this won’t be a walk in the park!!

I think do that for 60 mins and then bring on Rashford and Bruno if we need to.

Think this is really huge game top 4 wise. Yes we're in good position atm but Spurs/Liverpool/Newcastle should all win their games this weekend and that'll put some pressure on us. Then after the break we've got to play Newcastle away and Brentford at home which are 2 tough games.

Don't get the talk about heavy rotation. This will be a tough game. Southampton are fighting for their lives.

Full strength, every PL side is strong. Rotate against Betis, we are 4-1 up.
