Hard to say with a squad like this. I don't see what else any coach can do with this squad. I really don't. That said, Ole has done nothing yet to show that he as anything but an average coach.
Chris wilder seems to be doing just fine with a bunch of average players

I liked the look of Bruno today. When we get McT and Pogba back, that will be a solid midfield. Today we had a mishmash of #10s out wide, and James who is still too raw. I don’t get the hate for Pereira, he as well as half the team are just not at the required skill level, but it’s not like he’s stinking out the joint.

We need players with more intelligence. Almost No one made any runs in behind, almost no one tried to find them (Bruno and Mata tried a couple).

I think our shape was wrong going against wingbacks. We should have gone 442 or 433 to stop getting beaten out wide and to give us more midfield presence.

Anyway, thought we should have won today but it’s not like we created a ton of chances.

And it's fine if you point to that action but don't claim that he hasn't done something that he has done all game long. If he isn't picked it's not his fault, it also doesn't make him perfect but we don't have to go over the top all the time.
That's not what I was saying.

I'm talking about his movement off the ball, in situations where he doesn't even try to make himself available.

A top striker does it 100 times per match. Martial does it about 10 times per match. I even pointed out a couple of them today, because I'm desperate to see more of it from him.

Its odd. I'm seeing alot of heart and endeavour with the players. They're certainly trying. But we're just completely out of idea's tactically.
Think Ole has assembled a good squad now and has to be doing far,far better.
Completely agree. There's effort there for sure.

Is it as simple as a poor striker, no right wing to help awb? James so out of form? Full backs with d delivery?

Strikers don't do it 100 times per match, that's nonsensical and you know it. It happens a dozen maybe two dozens of times at best, if your team is dominant.

Just not good enough are they. How Pereira has about 30 starts this season is baffling, he must be the most average player I’ve ever seen at the club in 35 years of supporting.

I just knew when Chelsea dropped points we’d feck it up like the past 15 times.
    This

He has proved many times already that he is just not strong enough in one on ones. Tries to hold the ball to himself so much, you can see he's full of confidence. But it's really not justified. In my opinion he is not fit to wear the shirt.

Daniel James is light weight also and his crossing has deserted him. He needs to improve massively.

What a way to welcome B. Fernandes.

Such a let down. This Utd team don't deal with pressure. They are a collection of non handlers who don't know how to rise to the occasion, rather they seem to be fearful of it.

I'm beginning to really resent the whole lot of them to be honest.

    There's only one United!
Boring game and bad performances from Martial and Pereira.
Bruno was ok but i await Mct and Pogba alongside him.
    Excellent from both our fullbacks.
Fred, Mata and Mcguire were ok.
Give me Raul Jimenez any day up front.

Thought we started off quite well in the first half and were moving the ball about well, seemed to be a bit of a lift having Bruno in the starting 11.
Second half and the longer the game went on the more clueless we looked.
They've got no idea what to do - outfield players and the bench are just totally inept of how to change things about in the pressing, passing, tactics... Its awful.

I'd love to get a glimpse behind the scenes at Carrington.
    Depressing.

I hate Ole. I hate his head, his smile, his tactical ineptitude. His accent, his ideas, his inaction, his decisions. I hate him.

Can this Ihalo fella hold up the ball and get something going on the final third or is just another pace merchant?

Someone like Giroud would really help on days like today.

The average striker runs 10km per match. Of course they do.

No they don't and the 10km is irrelevant, CBs also move that distance. Most of it is done walking and not when the team is in possession in the last third. Just to illustrate it, in 2018 in the UEFA confederation teams covered an average of 107km per game, 66% of that distance was done a pace between 0-7 km/h

Thank God for the winter break, and let´s hope we have a couple more players available after that. Not very disappointed with this result, to be honest, it was a bit like expected and pretty much like every match against Wolves have looked like. No chance we´ll be able to break through their 5 man defence with the players available up front, and almost no point in sending those crossers in with the lack of physics up front. Second half better than first, however, if there is any positives to take from that.

If Matic had played I believe u it’s would have won. Bruno forced deep because Tweedles Dum and Dee could never play there. Plenty of control at points.

    Martial abysmal.

Do you tell someone you love them with the same amount of passion? Lucky for them if so.

God, doesn't take much to fire up the Ole outers. We were okay today, not great but not terrible. Bruno was excellent, Martial and Pereira were poor - Pereira is just not good enough. Two weeks off, rest, refresh, get some feckin players back and kick on for the rest of the season.

What do you want him to do, run on the pitch and order the players to do shuttle runs?

I guess that's one way of throwing Wolves off their game.
i think pseudo-canadian is absolutely right. If you think coaching involves just running drills, you haven't been training, anywhere.

In sessions he should be running through formation drills and coaching the players to get into the right positions when off and on the ball. He simply doesn't have the intelligence imo for formation drills. Carrick and Phelan were around one of, if not the, greatest tactician and they can't seem to apply these drills either.

If you can't get into an adults head that dovetailing on the edge of the box and looking to the channels and showing how the space created offers numerous opportunities to attack, you're in the wrong game, or they don't want to learn.
