Shocked today on carrick he had no Impact on the game today. Game looked to be 0-0 type of game until Memphis mistake. Then big hair again missed from 6 yards out. He has done that several times this year and it has cost us dearly. Martial clearly was concussed after he was knee in his head but they left him on the pitch. Rooney played ok but the rest of the team should take the game checks and donate to charity. Not good enough.

Stoke weren't that great but took advantage of a mistake and then a good shot from a set piece break down, but this doesn' excuse lackluster play from united. 'Better' teams have to play better than lesser teams and should be creating many more chances.

If all United do in the transfer window is get rid of Fellaini, I'd be doing the happy. I never like that signing. I never saw him as a MUFC type player. He's slow and a klutz. He should have been the one taken off at half-time.

One more thing to add. Oh how I miss Patrice Evra. We no longer have dynamic fullbacks.

You're really coming off as a Herrera fanboy. Throughout his career Carrick has been fantastic at reading the fame and intercepting passes. He was crap today. So was Herrera. Its ok to criticise your favourite player when hes useless.
They were all useless. I worry more about the ones who you forget they were actually playing altogether. They are cowards who hide and hope they escape all the flak. Yes Carrick has been great, but this season is typical, one good season, one bad season. Trouble is at his age he might not get the chance to have a good season next year. Fellaini, don't get me onto Fellaini. The fact he was an attacking option is all the managers fault.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
The press will be sharpening their knives. He has asked for it as well. No sympathy.
The problem is that I have an evening out tonight in Germany with some big football fans … the Bayern fans have carte blanche to say what they want naturally (although i'm sure it will centre on Pep to City), the Dortmund fans can zip it as they know that I wanted their ex-manager even before LvG came (and as long as Klopp's Liverpool keep match our incompetence I'm safe), but there will be one Wolfsburg fan that I've not seen since the last CL group stage game who will give me shit, two Gladbach fans who just love sticking the boot in … and one Leverkusen fan who will be "pea"ing himself all fecking night no doubt about us gifting them a real gem!

What the hell? We're seeing a rock band so I'll just take some ear-plugs!

Always look on the bright side of life. That is the secret to a happy life.

Do you lhink that LVG bought his wife underwear for Christmas? If he did, I bet it's something boring like Fruit of the Loom.

We were miles from our best today, particularly in the second half yet we never looked like dropping points. Says it all about just how bad you are at this time, not just the players and management but the entire club.

LVG's Sky interview is breaking-up for me here - is he saying anything interesting?

Most sensible one iv seen in a while from him to be fair.

Not good enough, He's to blame as much as the players. When asked if he thinks he's safe and can turn it around, he said its getting harder and on being safe said its not his decision and we'll have to see.

Looked like he knows he's on his way.

Football is not all about accurate passing, I think Van Gaal had an impact on you man, we've been calling for more attacking approach, taking risks, Herrera took them, his passing was off in very windy game, starting second game in two and a half of month, despite that he always tried to win the ball back and was successful in doing so, but people just get angry with every misplaced pass and every missed chance, so they are overreacting and dont see the good things.

Carrick started as a fecking captain and again showed like throughout his career he shits himself in big games, we desperately needed a leader to try to win this game and the fella was hiding all game, unable to impose on the game both offensively, trying to play some crisp through balls from deep, dictate the play like he can when the team's on top and defensively, we struggled to press as a united and as a result of it we were always two steps behind particularly in the first half. As I said earlier Mata and Fellaini weren't helping at all. Lack of movement and mobility killed us over last months or so, before we had looked very solid defensively, ie the defensive record, and looked consistent dominating the ball unlike today, alst game and the game before, but it has been about will and determination recently which showed only a couple of players and that let us down

..so I dont take anything from carrick he was consistent decent player for United for many years but he was always good when other players were good around him and his defensive contribution was always overrated. Never looked like raising the game of the team when the team was down, that he showed again today and with his legs gone, HE showed he was useless today, not Herrera who looked like the only player with Young on the pitch trying to do something, give credit where it's due.

We have so many passengers these days, not game raisers but it can partly be eliminated by managers tactics and motivation, we by no means have worse team than say Leicester but look much worse as the team lacks strong personalities who will give their everything, look at Drinkwater, the fella not one of the most talented players in the league but is part of the great two men midfield set up at Leicester.. Let Carrick retire, release Rooney and start again with some players who likes to play for the badge and show some hunger to win games, they dont need to be big names but give them chance to make their names for themselves like Fletcher once did.

Feck knows Ando. Last 2 games I've known we'd be in deep trouble before the games begun just looking at the first team.

I honestly think Van Gaal thinks that we should boss every game without needing to do the shit stuff.
I don't like his coaching style. He seems to leave a lot on the players shoulders. Sets the up and sits back and relaxes on the bench. He needs to lead by example and dictate like the leader in an Orchestra. We know there presence doesn't mean as much, but you still spot them out of the corner of your eye and lift your game.

Ontop of that, he selects the wrong XI and his subs picks don't make sense either

Time to act, I think. Things are just getting worse and he's only here till the end of next season regardless so there's no point backing him that much when Mourinho is available.

That first half was garbage and we improved second half but it was still more of the same in terms of having a lot of possession and only creating one or two chances.

It's not like Stoke were anything amazing and I'll be surprised if we get anything against Chelsea either.

Yes. We are an absolutely directionless club. Run poorly. Managed poorly. Poor players. Poor fans wishing for yesteryear. Only one way for a club like this to go...down, down, down...

Ultimately we thought we were getting a tactical savvy manager given his WC boasting. But we ended up with a Manager who finds it very difficult to turn a game around when we're losing or drawing.

Didn't take a genius to know we'd struggle in the last few games. I know we're struggling with injuries but the first team selections have been flawed lately.

Problem is that Jose isn't the answer IMO and if we did go for him we might see a burst of better results, but long run we'll be in the same position.

No idea who to pick for MOTM for the second game in a row because they were all so dreadful. This must stop.
