Its so wrong to still have Ole as manager for this game. The fans dont believe in him, and many senior players are against him. WTF are the board thinking ? its gonna be a shit show

This is pretty shambolic from the club. All the stories / leaks and he will be in charge on Saturday facing queries over his future pre and post game. I won't be watching but I feel bad for Ole that the board are going to put him through this.

If you want a snapshot of the insanity of the situation - Spurs will be absolutely delighted we have not sacked the manager.

So will every team we play until the inevitable happens.

    Madness.

    Shite 2-1 loss.

I can’t remember another top 6 game where both managers were on the brink.

I can't see us winning this at the moment.

Maguire V Kane could be be fun to watch. Both in horrible form.
They're more likely to score an own goal each.

Seriously though I think Kane will score, the chances they will create will be plentiful.

He’s gone if we lose. He’s going to have to win the next three to save his job, though he might get away with two wins and a draw vs City. Anything is just delaying the inevitable though, he can’t take us further. I hope we’re using this time to sound out a replacement. Season is almost written off already, let’s be honest. Even if we get a new manager in tomorrow we won’t win the league or CL. It’s FA Cup or bust.

I want to see that new Dune film, anyone seen it?
Yes. It's great, some flaws of course, but it worth it.

    ----------------------------De Gea-----------------------
    AWB---------Lindelof-------Varane------Shaw
    -----------------------------Matic------------------------
    --------Donny----------------------------Fred---------
    ----------------------------Bruno-------------------------
    ---------Cavani------------------------Rashford---

3-1win. Ole's tricky reds are going to turn this around.

So we concede about 50 big chances with DDG saving them all, and then Spurs make a horrid backpass into their own net from the halfway line…?
Or maybe Spurs 5-0 up but then all their players magically dissapear like in the show the leftovers.

Since they won't be able to field a team we will win by forfeit.

I'd say that would work as well.

I think Ole will go with the same team that were beaten so badly by Liverpool, or with 1 or 2 changes only, such as Sancho for Greenwood and maybe with Matic. If he´s been given a chance to punch back, Ole will feel the team that played deserve the same. In a way, you could say that´s only fair.

    I predict

    .................... De Gea

    Bissaka - Lindelöf - Maguire - Shaw

    ......... McTominay - Fred

    Sancho - Fernandes - Rashford

    ................. Ronaldo

So, its Ole in charge again for the weekend. This is the line-up we should be going with:

    ----------------------------De Gea-----------------------
    AWB---------Lindelof-------Maguire------Shaw
    --------Bruno---------Fred----------Donny----------
    --------Sancho--------Cavani----------Rashford

4-3-3 with Bruno dropping deeper than usual. Drop Ronaldo for Cavani, we cannot afford any passengers and Cavani gives us press and movement upfront. But, this is Ole, the woeful manager so its going to be 4-2-4 again with Mctominay in midfield and of course no chance of Donny.

Think Ole will revert to type and play a back-five for this and we’ll churn something out and save his job.

    ———————De Gea
    ———Lindelöf-Maguire-Shaw
    AWB——————————————Telles
    —————McTominay-Fred
    ————————Bruno
    —————Rashford-Ronaldo

Varane for Telles if he’s fit with Shaw at left-wingback.

I suppose if there is a game we COULD win it's this one. Spurs are shit. Granted, so are we. Should be a thriller.

Looks like, shockingly, Ole won’t be sacked till then and United will win this fixture 2-1.

Cannot remember the last time I was this disinterested or unmotivated for a United game, obviously hope the lads win as always but just seems pointless at this point.

    Think he'll go with
    De Gea
    AWB Varane/Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Matic Fred
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Ronaldo

I do think it'll be a very scrappy game, but a win nonetheless.

I think the correct Team would be:
    DeGea
    AWB Lindelof Varane Telles
    Bruno Fred VDB
    Sancho Ronaldo Rashford

Play 4-3-3 with VDB and Bruno as the to CM in front of Fred. Shaw and Maguire deserve to be dropped at least for this game.
Greenwood for me also needs a break. He has played nearly every minute so far. You could argue that Cavani also should play in place of Ronaldo, but Ronnie will be up for it and desperate to prove a point.

Ill be honest, I dont want us to win and the board and that piss ass loser manager to use it as a argument to say "we're back on track" or "we're showing improvement". Just end this shit.

No offence to Ole but there is no way back for him.

He may get to stay but to deserve to be here we would need to him on an insane run that sees us within a point or two of the top of the table within a few months as well as progressing in the FA cup and CL.

Sadly I know he doesn't have that in him.

So much for no one's bigger than the club?

Turns out Ole is being treated like he is....
Yes certainly looks this way. I'm fed of it to be fair. It's like he's the second coming of SAF whereas he is just a mediocre manager who helped us win major trophies as a player - a player we all respect and are thankful for - but this level of nepotism is nauseating.

Nuno has had Oles number a few times and Tottenham do like to perform better against us these past few years. I'm not as confident as some fans, who think we'll beat Spurs because they are currently shit when we are even more shit and below them in the league.

Draw at best for me. Which unfortunately will be hailed as some good result by Ole and his acolytes.

They played against West Ham and we still lost. If they play here, we will lose too. Telles, Bailly, Lingard and Van de Beek aren't better players than Shaw, Maguire, Rashford and Fernandes. Making those changes would be just making changes for the sake of it.
I get your point. But maybe that’s what’s needed when your usual starters perform horribly.

    Uniteds record against Nuno Espírito Santo is P9 W3 D4 L2 F8 A7

He's managing a better team now and playing against a United team in horrible form with a manager on borrowed time. Let's be honest Nuno and Spurs have no excuse for not winning this game.

Any manager/coach with a modicum of competence can set their team to rip through Utd. As stays of execution go, this will be an excruciating experience watching Ole preside over another listless and futile attempt to play modern football. I cant see what 3 more games are going to reveal which 3 years haven't!

We'll concede 2-3 no doubt. Should score one at least too so at least it shouldn't be a boring game.

Spurs aren't in a great place themselves, but you don't have to work hard or play well to score against us. Leicester away would've been the kind of game you'd expect an under-pressure Solskjaer to win. So no reason to suggest Spurs won't also take advantage of our situation.

Any one of our previous games could’ve (and should've) been the catalyst for change regarding personnel, formation or approach - so not sure what to expect on that front.

Given the circus around the club at present I'm not even sure how Ole, the coaches and the players come together to prepare for this game.

Will sit and watch on Saturday evening, but the events of the last couple of days feel all a bit surreal.

Don't remember the last time I approached a United game with that "don't give a shit" mentality. With Ole in charge of this game I don't care, win lose or draw, don't give a shit because the board itself doesn't care. I wanted something new to inject some positivity in such toxic situation but just watching him coming out of the tunnel after that Liverpool humiliation will make me sick.

VDB and Sancho need to come in, change it up, drop Maguire and Shaw, there aren't in form. Just do something different, it's crazy how he keeps on doing the same damn thing over and over and over that is costing him his job. If he does it again then for that alone he should be sacked for not even trying to switch it up and change things.

    It'll be the same side.

He's playing for his job. He's had players openly challenge his authority and players he's pissed off who'd be delighted to see the back of him. The only thing he has now is loyalty from a select few, even if that's on shaky ground.

Under pressure, potentially one game away from the sack. He'll pick a team of players he thinks will give 100% for him and that means pretty much the same team that played the last two games barring injury.

I stand more of a change of coming on than VDB has of playing

When you're on the brink you don't turn to players who hate your guts to get you out of trouble. McFred once again.
